Villa Flora is a wonderful place to enjoy the south of Kefalonia. It is just a 10-minute drive from Argostoli and is situated high above the sea. Several beaches are just a few minutes’ drive away. The view from the terrace is fantastic. The villa is very well equipped. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. John is a wonderful host who was waiting for us at the villa when we arrived and gave us lots of tips for our stay. We can wholeheartedly recommend Villa Flora!

We have just spent 7 days at villa flora. The view is stunning from the whole property including the pool: you will not regret spending whole days at the villa, even thought the beaches of Kefalonia are nearby and of course beautiful. Host John is also a source of inspiration and assistance for days out around the island. Everything you need for your holiday is within reach: the beaches at Spartia and numerous restaurants are within a few minutes’ drive; Argostoli and the airport are close by.

We loved staying at Villa Flora and couldn't ask for more hospitable and unfailingly helpful hosts! The villa is perfectly situated with wonderful views of the sea, and within 10 mins of Argostoli, beaches, supermarkets etc. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and benefitted from air conditioning, while the pool was scrupulously maintained. John went above and beyond to ensure we had the best holiday possible in this beautiful part of the world and was always available to assist with queries or suggest ideas, such as the amazing restaurant Vinaires outside Argostoli.If visiting Kefalonia, we would strongly recommend Villa Flora as the place to stay.

Highly recommended - Villa Flora is an excellent villa in a great location. The views from the property are spectacular, and can be enjoyed from the pool area, terrace and balcony. The interior is modern, spacious and light, well equipped and with high quality furnishings etc.The local area is quiet and picturesque, but still has grocery shops and restaurants nearby. The villa is also well located for exploring the rest of the island, plus the town of Argostoli and several nice beaches are a short drive away.John and Claire are excellent, welcoming hosts, who know the island well and can make helpful recommendations and provide contacts etc.We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would not hesitate to stay at Villa Flora again if we return to Kefalonia. We had an amazing time at Villa Flora. The hosts John and Claire were exceptional. Easy to communicate pre and during the holiday, always available for recommendations and kindly arranged restaurant booking for us for the first few nights. The villa is a great size, well equipped, lovely pool and all maintained to a very high standard. The location is beautiful with a number of local beaches with clear water, our favourite being Loudata, which had plenty of sun beads to hire, easy parking and good choice of places to eat. There are many great restaurants locally including Sea Salt and Esperides but you definitely need to book.We hired a car from Greekstones for the two weeks. Their service was brilliant. We travelled to the north of the island which was stunning. Worth visiting Argostoli for other good restaurants and shopping. We went to La Gondala when we wanted an evening of Italian food.We also had a skippered boat trip around the the south of the island for 5 hours with a company recommended by John (hosted by Kostas and skippered by Christina). We were well looked after and it was one of the best boat trips we have had during our many trips to the Greek Islands. We very much recommend a stay at Villa Flora and hope to visit again in the coming years.

Start at the beginning, 5 minute drive from the airport although you wouldn't know it when you arrive, you get an incredible view of the planes landing but they are far enough away that you really can barely hear them (something I had considered when booking, needn't have worried).What 3 words is a fantastic tool for finding your way there as it would be easy to miss the tiny driveway. John was there to meet us and give us all the information we needed about the villa and the surroundings, he really is a mine of information and nothing is too much trouble. Villa Flora has everything you could ever need for a perfect holiday, the kitchen is well equipped, every bedroom has an en -suite shower room, comfortable living area, an abundance of outdoor seating and dining options and balconies to admire the absolutely stunning vista, especially at sunset. The welcome package of essential treats including milk, bread, eggs, cheese, honey,wine,beer and more was a lovely touch and meant we didn't have to go find groceries straight after a long day travelling. The pool, gardens and surrounding areas are beautifully presented and perfectly clean. Pool guys pop in twice weekly and are very unobtrusive. Plenty of options for a stroll in the surrounding lush countryside. Short drive or an ambitious walk to local shop, bakery and plenty of excellent options for eating out, again trust John for his recommendations. Absolutely would love to come back, maybe next year. Our stay at the villa was idyllic. Beautiful property which was maintained to the highest standards. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the hosts performed a clean after our first week. We loved Villa Flor. John and Claire could not have been more wonderful, helpful and attentive.

It is a spacious house with everything you need. Pool is a good size. Views are excellent. Much better than the photos. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Easy to be there with a group. Kefalonia is a gorgeous island. We had never been to it before— many five star beaches and no end to restaurants.

Stunning Villa with great hosts!

We had the most amazing holiday in Villa Flora. John was there on arrival to show us around and Claire was always available with any questions and helped with anything we needed whether it was Villa related or not. Villa Flora was better than we could have imagined – stunning location and the views are to die for! The outdoor and indoor space were just fabulous. We would highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

Fantastic Views - Excellent Hosts

The property has phenomenal views across the south coast of the island and the sunsets are magical. John and Claire are the kindest and most helpful hosts we have ever come across. The villa is very well appointed and furnished and set in a hidden location. A car is essential if staying here and you have to manage the steep descent to the villa although you can park at the top if you don't fancy the descent. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this villa.

This villa has an amazing view. Claire, met us on arrival and showed us around the villa. Very clean and comfortable. Has all the facilities you need including a lovely welcome pack, very thoughtful. Lovely pool with comfortable sunbeds, actually loads of outdoor seating for every time of day. Would thoroughly recommend. Also great location for visiting the capital and local beaches.

Stunning villa!

We have just come home from a fantastic 10 night stay in the beautiful villa Flora! The communication was fantastic, John was there to greet us when we arrived and Claire came over the following morning. The villa is situated in a lovely quiet location with beautiful views and close driving distance to larger towns and beaches. There’s everything you could want in the villa and more! We’ve never been to Kefalonia before, but will definitely be returning and without a doubt staying at Villa Flora! 5/5 rating on everything from us all! A beautiful house and wonderful view

we very much enjoyed staying at John and Claires' house ,in particular sitting or lying next to its lovely pool marvelling at the superb view across the island to the sea.We were grateful for the range of provisions provided when we arrived and for John's kindness and enthusiasm in making our stay enjoyable and memorable.Like some others we found the hill down to the house a bit daunting (although perfectly driveable) so we parked in the square next to the church a couple of minutes walk away, which was no hassle.Thanks also to Claire for her prompt and accurate communications.

A wonderful stay at this lovely villa

We had a brilliant holiday in this great part of Kefalonia. The villa is situated close to a few good restaurants and the beach, but is also secluded. The pool area is gorgeous and with its elevated position, the villa looks out onto the landscape below with the sea in the background. A lovely vista to wake up to each morning and to look at whilst having a morning cuppa on the balcony! Claire was a brilliant host, she left us to enjoy the villa but we knew she was there if we needed her. She responded to a query we had on the lighting really promptly and nothing was too much trouble for her. All in all, I would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location.

Fabulous

From the beginning John and Claire (the owners) were welcoming and informative. They were unobtrusive as they changed towels etc. and even lent us some binoculars to enhance the fantastic views from the terrace and the pool. The villa is magnificent and the infinity pool means that there are never any leaves or bugs in it. In every way they made us feel at home with nothing too much trouble for them. The aircon cools the villa so there are no hot, sleepless nights. There are a number of excellent beaches a short drive away and the water is very warm and clear. My wife and two children (4 & 7) had such a great time relaxing and having fun that, for the first time in several years, we didn't want to come home. I wholeheartedly recommend the villa, the island and the owners.

Wonderful Villa Flora

We have recently had the most wonderful stay at Vila Flora which is even more stunning than the photos suggest. The property is spacious and immaculately presented and the pool area is beautiful with sun loungers and umbrellas/shade available on 3 sides and a breathtaking view. John and Claire had thought of everything to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived late so really appreciated the very well stocked fridge and cupboard (including fresh bread, honey, cheese, yoghurt, mlk and fresh fruit) and with a plentiful supply of basic items which meant we didn’t even have to locate the supermarket for the first couple of days. John took time to explain how we would navigate to various destinations and made some useful recommendations about restaurants and other places to visit. John and Claire were especially accommodating in allowing us to check out late in the day for a nominal fee which effectively allowed us to have a whole extra day to enjoy this lovely space. The villa is located at the end of a steep and somewhat intimidating drive and whilst this is clearly quite manageable for confident drivers (as evidenced by John), we chose to park on the road instead. We cannot recommend Villa Flora more highly and have been recommending it to all and sundry since our return.

Little Bit of Paradise

Villa Flora was beautiful - light, airy, spacious and attractively furnished - in an amazing hillside location with breath-taking views from the house and the poolside across the south of the island to the sea. It really was a little bit of paradise. The villa is well located offering easy access to Argostoli and the sandy beaches on the south coast. Our favourite, Ai Helis - a sandy cove where you can snorkel around the rocks - is an easy five minute drive away. There are a number of good places to eat out within walking distance.

Best villa I have ever stayed in

We arrived and was very pleasantly surprised at the thought and effort that had gone into this place . John the owner met us and showed us around , we all felt immediately at home. There was nothing whatsoever we needed. Villa flora had the most beautiful views and on our last day we had problems with our passenger location forms which meant we didn’t check out on time, not only was this not a problem John and his beautiful wife Claire helped us to get the forms done and could not have been more helpful. We will definitely be back and are very grateful to have stayed in such a beautiful villa in such a beautiful island with such wonderful hosts
