La Casa della Seta est située à la périphérie du centre-ville historique de Côme, au pied de la colline qui mène à Brunate, dans un quartier résidentiel calme et privilégié. Quelques minutes à pied vous mèneront non seulement au lac et à la vieille ville pittoresque, qui regorge d'attractions touristiques, mais également au funiculaire historique qui se rend dans le village de montagne de Brunate. La Maison de la Soie est située au troisième étage d'une maison qui possède également d'autres appartements. Il y a un ascenseur. Balcony bliss

Beautiful property in Como. Owners were very nice and left us some breakfast cakes which was very thoughtful. There were 6 of us and were all very comfortable. The balcony is huge on this apartment and there is a rooftop area as well.

Great apartment in Como.

Lovely apartment in quiet location only 10 minutes walk from the centre. Sunny balcony and roof terrace with good views of the lake and old town from the roof. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. Garage car parking provided. We had a lovely stay in beautiful Como. Lots to do!! Highly recommended.

Make sure you ask for a detailed inventory upon check-in and check out. The owner requested full payment of the damage deposit to pay for alleged broken shutters- we had no idea about but a repair was invoiced on the day we left and it was assumed we were responsible for the damage, when we were not. The owner did not engage with us directly with us over this.Owner complained also of 4 broken cheap kitchen glasses and requested payment for these.So, on the whole, the process was not transparent and a highly stressful experience after leaving.

Usually, polite people communicate when leaving that the glasses or the shutter have been broken like you, but finding missing glasses without communication seems very unfair to me, and leaving a negative review for the damage request is retaliation, without considering the terrible conditions in which the house was left.

Great Find

This apartment was perfect for our family of four (children ages 17 and 19). It is situated up the hill from the main tourist area and my children only complained a little about the walk to the bottom of the hill. I personally enjoyed the walk because I felt that it made our stay more authentic. I loved walking to the nearby cafe for brioche and cappuccino in the morning and watching local life unfold in the piazza and shops. Our hosts were excellent communicators and helped us get settled with a welcome gift of snacks and drinks. They also made recommendations for things to see and do as well as responses to our questions about restaurants that we asked later in our stay. As Americans, it is important for other Americans to be aware that this apartment does not have air conditioning . There was only one fan available to us. We were in Como during a heatwave and it was uncomfortable cooling off after returning from a day of site seeing. If you go at a more mild time of year, this obviously is not a problem.

Apartment with the WOW factor

I rent flats in London and this flat to stay in puts mine to shame for just offering basic accommodation. Laura's and Guiseppe's flat is exquisite and ideal for enjoying Como. Was anything missing? No to the last detail, they have everything covered. Everything is tasteful. Our hosts even thought about welcome pack of essentials and were there to greet us and took time to explain where everything was in the flat. Roof terrace - a dream with a beautiful view of the lake. We arrived by train and made the mistake of thinking we could get to the flat by public transport. Don't bother. My advice is be prepared to take a taxi. No 25 at Como taxis is the lynchpin, a fabulous, considerate, fair and hard working gentleman. See my write up on Bar Italia Torno

Wonderful stay overlooking Como!

This 3 bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor of a building overlooking the city of Como, and there is a wrap around balcony. There is also an elevator as well. The apartment is very up-to-date and spacious. The four of us did not have a car, but the #5 bus makes a stop in front of the building. Included in our stay was access to the rooftop patio area, which is a delight after long days of walking and seeing the sights in and around Como. Our hosts Laura and Giuseppe were most gracious and accommodating, welcoming us with a bottle of wine. Giuseppe even came to the apartment the morning of our departure to help us with our luggage! Our stay at The House of Silk was one of the highlights of our 16 day Italian holiday.

Beautiful large apartment. Well furnished and maintained. Very helpful and friendly owner

This is a lovely clean apartment which is about a 10 minute walk from the lake. Great views from a large balcony with the added bonus of a shared roof terrace. The property had everything we needed and was very spacious with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The owner met us on arrival and showed us around giving us lots of useful information. Highly recommended, we would stay here again.

Ottimo appartamento!

Ci siamo stati per una notte... l'appartamento è grandissimo, dotato di tutto dalle pentole alle tazzine ... qualsiasi cosa persino alcuni generi alimentari come sale e zucchero. L'appartamento è tenuto benissimo , spazioso e ha persino il box auto! Proprietari gentilissimi e sempre molto disponibili! Direi ottimo week end in questo apprtamento! Super consigliato!

alle sagen, es sei eine ruhige Gegend, die Straße sei zweitrangig, es gebe Fenster und luftdichte Mülleimer. Leider gibt es Gäste wie Sie, die unwahre Bewertungen schreiben. zum Glück sind sie sehr selten Viel Glück
