This is a beautiful property with a large area around the house itself. Great rooftop, pool, patio outside cooking area. Highly recommend for groups up to 8 as we had.

Lovely villa in great location. Easy to book a taxi through Giovani. During our stay we visited Ostuni and Caravigno for dinners as well as exploring some of the costal towns nearby such as Monopoli using our hire car during the day. There is a well stocked supermarket nearby. The villa is spacious and comfortable, the pool area is incredible, with lots of sunbeds and plenty of comfortable seating areas and the grounds are very well kept. We did not go for the pizza chef experience as this was very expensive and was cheaper to go to a local pizzeria. Apart from this everything with was perfect.

Perfect location, excellent hosts and a beautiful villa. Lovely spot to meet up with family and explore all that Puglia has to offer. House was comfortable and well equipped. We all had an amazing time at Villa Merlata.

Perfect Italian stay🇮🇹🍷🌞

Two weeks of Italian bliss in Villa Merlata with family. Plenty of room to spread out, & in the August heat the pool was heavenly. Nicely appointed & a great location for day trips to local towns & beaches. The property manager was very helpful & responsive.

Great family holiday

We had a great holiday at the Villa Merlata. Highlights include the lovely pool, Anna Maria who came to make pizzas was lovely and overall a fantastic 2 weeks. Giovanni was very responsive and a great help and source of knowledge for restaurants etc.Only criticism would be that the kitchen appliances are dated and need to be upgraded. Otherwise it was a perfect base to explore Puglia.

Puglia 60th Birthday Celebration

The villa was excellent and Giovanni was a welcoming property manager. We had a great stay despite the weather being disappointing ( cloudy and some rain). We used Anna to cook us an evening meal and this was a great experience and very reasonably priced.

Excellent stay in villa merlata

I highly recommend this property for a stay in pulglia Italy. The property was gorgeous , clean and had great amenities. In addition it is very well located - close to beaches, shopping and a great base for exploring southern Italy. Giovanni was terrific and very responsive throughout our stay. We were 7 people and there was plenty of space inside and outside for everyone. Great property in a beautiful setting !

Beautiful villa located close to Ostuni

Villa Merlata is exactly as described. We had a group of 4 women and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful property with stunning outdoor areas and pool. We enjoyed an on-site pizza evening which was so much fun and the pizza was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this property

Puglia and Otsuni, great!!

Everything has been perfect from arrival to departure. Lovely place among olive trees. Swimming pool very clean, with crystal water all the week. The house was comfortable, good living room, better rooms. Air conditioning. But the best was Giovanni, really friendly and helpful.

Beautifully appointed and elegant villa.

The villa is just as presented: stylish, well-equipped, sitting elegantly in its own large, lush garden. It all has a thoughtful, designer feel to it. Lovely pool, terrace, barbeque, pizza oven, two dining terraces create the perfect setting for outdoor summer living. Inside there are new en-suites, a good kitchen, hotel-standard bedrooms. Electric gates and burglar alarm, too. Giovanni was easy to liaise with checking in and helpful generally. There was absolutely nothing to fault.

Exceptional Experience in Puglia

Five Stars all around — The property was exactly how it is described in the listing. No surprises. The property managers, Pasquale and Giovanni, were excellent, responsive and helpful. They were available (before, during and after our arrival) to answer questions and make recommendations for local tour guides, restaurants and even a local restauranteur who came to the villa to cook for us. If you plan to see the region, you’ll need a car but the property has a carport that holds three vehicles. It is only about a 10 minute drive to Ostuni and 5 minute drive to a supermarket. From booking to check-out things couldn’t have been better. We would definitely recommend this property.

A slice of paradise in Puglia

We had the most unforgettable stay at this beautiful villa in Puglia. From the moment we arrived at Villa Merlata, everything was perfect. The property is immaculately maintained that blends traditional charm and modern comfort. Every corner of the villa is thoughtfully designed, with comfortable furnishings, and all the amenities you could possibly need.The outdoor space was the highlight — olive trees, a sparkling pool, peaceful gardens, and outdoor kitchen. We spent our days relaxing by the pool, exploring nearby villages, and enjoying long dinners under the stars.The location is perfect for discovering the beauty of Puglia, yet secluded enough to feel completely private and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering great recommendations and making sure our stay was flawless. Definitely have Anna Maria make a meal or pizza. Food was delicious!We can’t recommend this villa highly enough — it’s the kind of place you’ll never want to leave!

What a nice and well thought out villa to host its guests

Stayed in the villa with our friends in July. We especially liked our shared breakfast and evening dining. In the evening the villa area was beautifully lighted. The swimming pool is a great size and gives a pleasing cooling from the burning sun. Air conditioners in the bedroom are justified and the beds are comfortable. Warm/cold water gomes with good pressure. Groceries, eating places, etc. what's needed, is nearby. The villa itself is comfortable, everything you need (wasching machine, kitchen utensils, house holds, etc.) for a carefree vacation. Giovanni and Pasqual were always available and helped us kindly with all sorts of questions and desires. I recommend using a private chef service that they offer. Everything was made from the scratch and the food was really delicious. Because we stayed there only for a week, lots of things that we wanted to see/do/experience - the time was too short, but good memories were created. Many thanks and we'll definitely would like to come back!

Wonderful and Relaxing

We chose Villa Merlata for our 2 week family vacation because it had all the features and location we were looking for. Our six adults and two 10-year-old twin boys required 4 bedrooms and baths, a swimming pool and convening tables for all of us for meals together and for playing family dominos. With three eight-seated tables in different locations, it was perfect, no matter the weather. We found ourselves relaxing and talking in the porch lounge area every morning and evening. The kitchen was well stocked with appropriate pots and tableware, although we found the need for and contributed a larger coffee maker. We ate all but 10 meals at the villa, choosing local restaurants both for some lunches and some dinners. The supermarket is only 10 minutes away by car, which is a necessity for this villa. A highlight was Anna making pizza for us one night and a surprise 25th anniversary dinner on another night that she made for us. The two refrigerators were useful, and the security system was easy to operate. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms small but adequate. A/C in all the rooms was a necessity and worked well. Screens on all the windows. Giovanni was excellent and available to check us in and out according to our flight schedules. He was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and answering all our questions. Pasquale and his brother were attentive via WhatsApp and great hosts. The area is perfect for touring with 30 - 60-minute drives to key cities and attractions.

Summer holiday in Les Pouilles

Tout etait parfait. Magnifique demeure pour notre reunion de famille. La soiree Pizza etait sublime, les plages et restaurants aux alentours excellent. Juste un peu loin pour nous depuis la suisse.

The villa was mostly a great experience, but there were a few disappointments. The venue and layout were perfect for a four-couple retreat, and the amenities were good. Giovanni, the property manager, was friendly and helpful. If you book, note that the water is not potable so load up on drinking water before arrival.What was off-putting for our group was that the septic tank backed up on the first day, and it wasn’t fixed until our last evening. One couple had to deal with a backed-up toilet and shower multiple times in the middle of the night. We were frustrated with the inconvenience and disappointed with the slow response and lack of consideration for the impact on our stay. The owner shrugged it off as one of those things refusing to compensate for their lost nights and inconvenience.

Nous avons passé 10 jours merveilleux à la villa merlata. La villa et son aménagement sont exceptionnels. Les communications avec Pasquale et Marco étaient instantanées et efficaces. L’accueil de Giovanni était parfait, et que dire des 2 soirées repas préparés par Annamaria. À recommander à tous.

Das ganze Anwesen übertraf unsere Vorstellungen um Längen. Giovanni hat uns am ersten Tag empfangen und uns dann alles in Ruhe erklärt. Giovanni war immer erreichbar und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Grazie Giovanni. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich und haben sich immer wieder telefonisch erkundigt ob wir zufrieden sind. Absolut nett! Das Haus selbst, der Pool wie auch die Umgebung ist traumhaft. Kurzum, wir werden wieder kommen.
