The Bad: .... Nothing to reportThe not so good: Roads leading to Villa parking lot have many potholes and very uneven. Just go slow if you rented a car.Pictures taken of the Villa were some years ago but me and my family thoroughly enjoyed the property and didn't worry about the paint not being pristine.Property water would go off sometimes but I personally didn't have an issue with this, just a little inconvenience - and remember - you're on "island time"The music from the resort that you overlook gets a little loud sometimes and for the most part not my kind of music but a minor disturbance for me and the family.Everything Else: Always a breeze on the deck overlooking the ocean which is where we spent most of our time while at the Villa. Great views from there!Cosmos was a fabulous host giving recommendations on dining, excursions and arranging things. Listen when he says go to Jacques on the Waterfront for a romantic dining experience. Smugglers Cove (where the Naked Fisherman restaurant is - very good btw) was our favorite beach. Very small and you can't use the special chairs from the resort but take a cooler and a towel and it is wonderful. You can't walk to this one but you can walk to Pigeon Point (15-20 minutes) which has a very nice beech and plenty of bars / restaurants right there. Spend the 10 one day and walk through the ruins of the fort which are at the end of the road to the beech, which has plenty of parking if you prefer driving.

DO NOT HESITATE! Our family of 6 (4 kids - ages 21 to 16) stayed at the villa over the week of New Years. Villa was much more beautiful than in pics!!! Views were gorgeous. Location perfect! Walk to beach. Also another beautiful beach within 10 min drive. Host Cosmo set up a welcome dinner for our first evening, had groceries that we pre selected there upon arrival, booked us the most amazing PRIVATE boat tour of island (including mud baths, waterfalls, snorkeling, and beautiful southern beaches). In addition Cosmo also helped us select the best rental cars for the roads and that fit our luggage. The entire family agreed that this is the best family vacation we have ever had. THANK YOU Cosmo and everyone we encountered in St Lucia.

I believe the host was disingenuous about a lot of things, for starters he told us we would have our own private rd, he knew there was 5 of us and we would need a large vehicle, it wasn’t until we arrived that he made us aware only smaller vehicles could go up that road due to how steep it is, so why make it seem like we had our own entrance knowing we couldn’t use it? Because of that we had to go up and down these side steps that were a safety hazard and caused us to slip and fall everytime it rained. The next step of the host being disingenuous was traveling around. It was not a secret we were there for Carnival, i made it clear and sent an entire itinerary of our schedule, Cosmo made it seem like he would be at our beck and call, from the very first night I could tell this wouldn’t work as it was only 11:30 and he was getting frustrated and complaining about being tired, the next day he tells us he cant pick us up at 3 in the afternoon he would arrange for someone else to get us, that person couldnt do it, he said he would reach back out to us, he never did, he didn't answer either when i called multiple times, we ended up having to walk over half an hour in the sun with our carnival costumes in a foreign country just to see Cosmo at the villa laughing, the host cant be trusted!In addition not being able to have guests as grown adults also contributed to our stay being less than pleasant, 1/10 would not recommend

Great Experience.

Cosmos, our host, was wonderful. He was available for any and everything we needed. He organized excursions and recommended things to do which were all amazing. Beautiful location. Quiet, ocean view. 5 min walk to Royalton beach. Driving is little bumpy but doable in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Overall, our stay was wonderful and would highly recommend.

Perfect Location

Our trip to Villa Gina was absolutely amazing. Cosmos took great care of us from our delayed flight problems to our departure. The location is beautiful and his staff were awesome!Would recommend staying at Villa Gina on your next visit to St. Lucia

This villa was the perfect place for our party. The location is gorgeous, we could walk to the beach and Pigeon Point. the facility had everything we needed, the pool was a great gathering area for us to hang. The host was available 24/7 to arrange transport, excursions, or anything we needed.

Both gorgeous view and walk to the beach

Love the view of Smugglers Cove and the snorkeling there. The house is beautiful with wood features and has traditional St.Lucia touches in decor. Can walk down the beach in a few minutes. Love the open shower. Grateful for air conditioning in bedrooms. Chris cooked wonderful traditional St Lucian food- feasts for dinner and breakfast. He is on site and is knowledgeable and helpful. The street to the property (government owned) has an uneven area that is due for repairs.

Property was nice but upgrades needed, outdated kitchen, bathroom open ceilings allowing outdoor elements to enter the Property, disturbance nightly by several dogs on the property. Close to Rodney Bay, walking distance from two beaches. No food or stores within the area. Quite surroundings. Comfortable beds. NO AC in living room but generally not needed as the property is getting an ocean breeze. Working AC in bedrooms, screened door for patio. Towels an cooking utensils available

Beautiful view in authentic villa

The private Gina villa is spacious with an authentic Caribbean vibe and plenty of private sleeping areas for 6. The views off the balcony are beautiful! It’s located in the nicest part of the area and very safe with a short walk to Pigeon Island park! The private pool is above the villa a few steps and lovely. We were so glad the manager Chris (and his dog Rex) were there to help us out in so many ways like calling drivers or picking up our take out orders. He even did our laundry!! The only small issue we had was occasional mosquitoes at night which we fixed by closing screen doors and spraying a bit of bug spray but no big deal. Would stay again! The owner was also responsive to questions prior to the trip which was reassuring. Having a car might be a good idea so you can drive places on your own but our drivers were easy to work with.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Gina. We liked the location and the accomodations were very good. Cosmos was most helpful, we were sad when he left to attend to business out of the country. Chris, the property manager, was also helpful. I do have just a couple of suggestions to make the stay even better: better lighting on the steps for nighttime; the steps are a little uneven and at times were hard to navigate; hot water in the kitchen to do dishes; access to blankets (at times we were chilly and had no blankets); a table on the veranda would be nice for morning coffee and breakfast, or dinners. These are all very minor suggestions, overall we were very pleased with our stay. Thank you, Betty Ann Baffone

Awesome vacation!!!!!!

I just spent 9 fabulous days in the Gina Villa. I came with four friends and we were all celebrating different things. We had plenty of room to spread out or share a meal together. The kitchen was completely stocked and all the appliances were there for what was needed. There's even three coffee pots if you have that many people!!!! The property owner is at your disposal and will solve any issue you have. He has on staff, usually to one person to cook for you if you request, and one to take care of any issues that you may have on the property. The property is conveniently located within walking distance to any type of beach activity one wanted to do and includes without a doubt, the most miraculous view of the ocean from several areas on our private patio. The property owner will be completely accommodating to assisting you with any type of Island activity you want to do. Our party had the opportunity to take advantage of this and was not disappointed!!! I did have the opportunity to view other areas of the property that one could rent. There are two other villas to rent; a three bedrooms unit and a two bedroom unit I did have the opportunity to peek inside and would not hesitate for one moment to rent it. All the people in our party were extremely overjoyed with our stay and would not hesitate for one second to come back. Thank you Mr. Allen and your staff for an awesome vacation that we will never forget!!!!!!

Perfect Location & Huge Indoor Areas yet only a 3/5

What we loved! ‱Semi-outdoor shower in master was amazing with wonderful water pressure *Lots of drawers, closets ‱Location- You really can walk to beach or Pigeon Island. *Breezes were great *Note- Villa staff have changed. Henry was always cheerful, ready to assist with whatever we asked. It was clean & Marie had a ready smile. What we didn’t like can be fixed by the owner if he wishes. *Listing says there’s airconditioning & there is in the bedroom where we wanted it but we couldn’t control when it went on & off nor turn it warmer. We had to tell the manager in advance when we wanted it + it only had one level (plenty cold). We like to cool the bedroom around 8/9 pm & then turn it off at bedtime or by 2-4 a.m. if we wake up chilly. Such a waste of electricity to force us to cover up with blankets because we can’t turn it off ourselves. Other rentals use a control to limit hours/temp but allow renter to activate. *We weren’t told water heater was controlled by staff so had a cold shower once. When Henry learned that, he kept checking with us to see if we needed it. We’ve stayed in places where we’re asked to turn the heater on before showering or washing dishes & that’s fine. But this method is annoying; at a min. the listing should inform of this. Having to figure out when we plan to shower & ask someone else seemed unnecessary. (Also- no hot water in kitchen so dishes are washed in cold water.) Isn’t hot water a given in a villa? *Kitchen basics of salt, pepper, paper towels not provided. First time we’ve encountered that in 5 house/villa rentals in St. Lucia over the years. *No beach chairs or soft cooler. Ditto on 1st time not provided in our St. Lucia rentals. *Listing says telephone- I didn’t see it. Also says washing machine but you pay housekeeper extra to do laundry if you want it done. Both are ok, but listing should be clarified. *Listing says wheelchair inaccessible. No kidding! We hike in mountains but many of the steps to this upper unit are slanted downward, feeling dangerous. Henry helped with our suitcases but we preferred the hike to the top of Pigeon Island over climbing these poorly built steps every time we came back. They should be leveled. *Due to “hinge problems” owner needs to have repaired only 1 of the doors from living area to deck is ALLOWED to be opened (per owner). That open wall helped attract us to this villa. We love St. Lucia. I hope the owner will consider my concerns- he could eventually save $$!

Loved this place!

Loved everything about this place! It's huge and close to beaches. The private pool is great. The views are amazing during the day and night:) the housekeeper makes sure all is looked after the place and us. She is very sweet and very polite. The villa is not super modern but I love the wooden rustic look, it's warm and cosy. With a child I felt comfortable staying there. Will be back! Thank you so much !

wonderful escape

A lovely home perched on a hillside overlooking a small cove. Nice ocean breezes through the house, very friendly hosts Chris and Niah welcomed us and looked after us in every way, from cooking local dishes and providing suggestions for day trips and local spots. Loved the pool.
