A Lovely House with a Garden in Helsinki

Hello Joy! Thank you very much for your kind review. Apologies for the shower room blind- the problem has been acknowledged and it will be replaced right now. Sorry about the garbage issue- we used to have separate, labelled bins on the porch but they seem to be removed. We will put them back. Also door knob noticed, thank you. We never had a locking mechanism for the shower room door as the house has been mostly in our own, family- type use (and Finns infamously take sauna together with the family members and so there hasn't been a need for that. ) However- we will fix that issue as well. I suppose the check-out instructions should be found on the general info of the house which you can access once you have made the booking. Dear Robert, I'm sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your stay and you seemingly had felt the house was not what you expected it to be. But let me clarify a few things: You were greeted by our caretaker who probably explained some basic functions of the house. You were also provided with his cell phone number as well as mine. You were also encouraged to contact us if there was anything at all you would need to ask. But you did not contact us even once. I could solved most of your problems with the house really fast. So, if you excuse me, I find some of this review quite out of context and/or out of place. Some examples: *Sauna works perfectly. If you did not understand how to operate it, you could have asked/texted either me or our caretaker. *Coffee machine on the floor: it is there for a purpose, it is a little bit big to be left on the counter. Many people (like me/my family) don't drink filtered coffee. It works however. *The 2nd double bed is maybe smaller than somewhere in the world, but it is still as you could see in the photos. *In every room and especially in the dressing room upstairs there was organised space for our guest's belongings. The closets were not full of our possessions, even if there was some of our stuff left, but we do live there and storage space in this 200-year-old house is limited. Garden could have been overgrown. I will ask our caretaker. I will also contact our caretaker about the fridge and the dishwasher. I simply don't know about those. Thank you for your review in any case. Hello Catherine. Thank you for the review. There were however some comments I cannot really rely to. I had offered you assistance my whatsapp several times but you decided not to communicate at all (which, by the way, is a requirement in the house rules). If you would have needed extra towels you could have asked for them, but renting a house doesn’t mean you have a limitless usage of towels and bed clothes. And speaking of which, you destroyed one big bath towel and I had made already one extra bed for you (without extra charge). You left the house quite dirty and didn’t even remove your bedclothes from the beds you were using. Also the cover of the oven lamp was broken after you Sometimes it seems, people renting full houses with all equipment and appliances and paying for it less than one double room in a near-by hotel, do not value neither the premises nor the fact that it is someone’s home you are renting, not a hotel. It was truly a pleasure having Beatrix and her group of friends staying in our house. There was no troubles of any kind at any point, and they also left the house very clean. Always welcomed back!
