L'unité Stern du condo cÎté marina de la Cannery

Ce condo cĂŽtĂ© marina offre un excellent accĂšs aux vues de tous les allĂ©es et venues d'un port de travail authentique. Nous accueillons des gens de partout, des pĂȘcheurs de homard locaux Ă  des yachts de luxe trĂšs haut de gamme. Les vues sont spectaculaires et incluent les observations occasionnelles de pygargue Ă  tĂȘte blanche ou de faucon pĂšlerin.

Nous proposons des appareils de cuisine de grande taille et un joli coin salon et un barbecue Ă  gaz pour les soirĂ©es Ă  l'extĂ©rieur. Il y a deux chambres, le maĂźtre a un lit king size avec une salle de bain attenante. La chambre d'amis sur le thĂšme nautique a un lit double avec la salle de bain dans le couloir. Les deux salles de bains sont Ă©quipĂ©es de douches Ă  l'italienne double, des accessoires de salle de bains adaptatifs sont disponibles. Et un canapĂ© pliant au cas oĂč vous auriez besoin de plus d'espace. Ces unitĂ©s adorables sont Ă  distance de marche de tous les magasins de la rĂ©gion et des fabuleux restaurants ici Ă  SWH. Nous sommes au cƓur du parc national d'Acadia. Les caractĂ©ristiques du parc telles que Bass Harbor Head Light et le lac Echo ne sont qu'Ă  quelques minutes. Faites une randonnĂ©e jusqu'Ă  Beech Cliffs ou St. Sauveur pour une vue panoramique sur l'Ăźle. Passez une soirĂ©e Ă  explorer Bar Harbor et toutes ses boutiques et Ă  faire du bruit. Assurez-vous d'essayer une excursion d'observation des baleines ou de faire une croisiĂšre au coucher du soleil sur un sloop de l'amitiĂ© dĂšs votre porte!

We loved the location, and the place had everything we needed. We loved being on the quieter side of the island, but still able to access Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other sights on MDI. It had been 18 years since we'd been to SW Harbor and this was the perfect place to restart our Maine traditions.

We had a wonderful few days. Southwest Harbor is beautiful and quiet. Gorgeous sunrise each day. Delicious food in both Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor. Everything and anything you want to do is nearby and easy to get to. Host was lovely and left us a nice note. Easy to communicate with. Well kept and clean unit. Slept well. Comfortable living area. Plenty of space. Would stay again!

Loved Southwest Harbor

The condo was adorable and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. It was not too far of a drive visiting different areas in Acadia National Park. We loved walking through the marina and seeing all the boats. Check in was very easy. Will definitely come back.

Maine vacay

The property was great. It was clean and spacious for 4 adults. The area is so nice and quiet and has easy access to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Loved watching the boats go in and out each day. The view was incredible at sunrise. Would highly recommend this place for adults only not anything for children to do.

Perfect for us

My husband uses a walker and sometimes needs a wheelchair which makes vacation travel challenging. Christie was so accommodating, the Stern unit was sparking clean, spacious enough to maneuver a wheelchair, and additional adaptive devices provided by Christie made our stay wonderful. The close to town location was fun as well. We hope to return and stay longer next time.

Biking Acadia

The Stern unit was a perfect home base for my husband and a friend from Idaho . . . we loved staying away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, as we explored both sides of MDI on ebikes. Having a bike rack on our vehicle made it easy to carry the bikes to an Acadia carriage road trailhead, but to explore the SW Harbor area, we just needed to jump on the bikes. Thanks for the hospitality, Christie!

Comfortable spacious condo next to working marina

"Stern" condo offered everything we needed for our stay in MDI. The main living space was very spacious, well furnished and comfortable. Kitchen had lots of spices and pantry staples beyond the usual salt/pepper/coffee/tea more commonly provided. 2 big bathrooms were cut above too. The unit is on the ground floor, next to the marina driveway (lightly travelled but some very early morning, but windows & walls kept out most noise. (We slept fine.) We enjoyed sitting at the patio table out front of the unit - deck above provided welcome shade and cooling during hot July weather. Views straight out are of parking lot, but lovely water views from the patio to both sides. Great place to come back to after mountain hikes and exploring! Or to sit out with breakfast coffee and watch the mist rise over the harbor.

A comfortable stay in a great location

The quirky location of this condo really appealed to us when we booked, and it didn't disappoint when we saw it in person. Not only is the marina location interesting, but being on the "quiet side" of the park was very pleasant. We had been a little worried that being on a working marina might have been noisy, but we didn't have any trouble at all with noise during our stay. The only thing that would make this condo even better would be blackout curtains in the bedrooms. There are security lights right outside the bedroom windows that light up the room as though it's dusk all night long. We appreciate the security of having the lights there, especially on the ground floor, but it would have been nice to have been able to make the room a little darker. Other than that, this is a lovely, well-appointed place in a great location. Should we find ourselves in the area in the future, we'd definitely try to stay here again.

Perfect Location For Us!

The condo is even better than advertised! It was roomy & cozy with everything we needed either provided, or close by. Christie was very courteous, responsive and had great recommendations. We enjoyed a boat tour right from the marina and visited different areas of Acadia in our rental car. We enjoyed lobster at local lobster pounds almost every day! The walk to town was easy and the bar/restaurant at the top of the hill was an interesting place to hang out each evening--tourists, locals & boat owners/workers all swapping stories. The only recommendation we have would be to add curtains in the bedrooms. There are lights on all night over the walkway outside the windows and it gets light really early. As for noise from the fishermen, etc. we didn't notice it at all. We would definitely return to Southwest Harbor & stay here again!

Southwest Harbor Getaway

What an incredible time in SWH. The Stern condominium was all that was promised. Beautifully appointed and equipped and crystal clean. Christie was a fantastic host and the location was perfect for exploring The national park or grabbing a bite in Bar Harbor. SWH had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We will be back! Maine Retreat

The Stern unit was perfect for us! It offered the comfort and room we wanted as well as entertainment watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The location was very convenient being able to walk into town and catch the shuttle to go everywhere. Acadia is AWESOME! We plan to definitely come back. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you Christie!

Great location

It's at a marina so there is much to see with the boats, yachts and fishermen coming in and out. Good view of part of the harbor from the condo. Wonderful place to have meals. Place was open and room, plus it was very clean

On the marina

This is a lovely, clean, fresh 2bdrm, 2bath apartment right on a working marina! You are on the ground floor with a great outdoor table/space; you can see the water and boats on two sides, the parking lot straight ahead. Things start early on a marina; you'll hear and see activity, so if you want total isolation this isn't for you. We loved it-- the ocean air, the boats, the easy walk to town. The apartment was perfect for us and Christie is very responsive and so easy to work with!

The Marina Building

We enjoyed this very unique location right on the Marina, on this huge deck. I used my stand-up paddle board right there, which for me was awsome (while the rest of the family could continue sleeping). Very well equipped, clean and owner was very responsive to our needs. Will come back.
