Came off-season and had such a peaceful 2 night getaway! House was perfect for the two of us - I’m sad we didn’t use the kitchen because it’s beautiful! Easy, quick walk to the beach and surrounding area. Excited to return next summer!

We had a great last minute stay…. It was a short walk to the beach. Exactly as pictured, would love to stay again if it works for dates we need! The host was super easy to deal with!

Beautiful cottage!

Very nice rental. Easy to make yourself at home with all the amenities and an easy walk to the beautiful beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little getaway.

We stayed for 2 nights- just looking for a short getaway as we have a newborn. The big kids loved being so close to the bay beach / playground. It was a 10-15 min walk to restaurants in Lavalette. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect little cottage!

It was a short stay of only two nights, but the kids will never forget those two nights! We have been spending summers in Lavalette for many years, and this cottage was perfect for making more memories with my family. Thank you, Dickmans!

Amazing Beach Getaway

We were in the area for a music festival, so we only had a short time at the house and in the immediate area. We loved being there off-season because the beach was so quiet. We even spotted whales off shore. This is such a cute little house and a great location. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Mother’s Day weekend

Perfect for our family for a Mother’s Day getaway weekend. We tried the food place suggestions she gave us and they were fantastic! Lenny’s pizza, Megs grill, Patti’s, all really great. Beds were very comfortable! Lots of extra blankets which we all appreciated!! The kids went nuts over the bunk beds!! Super cozy and close to everything— thanks again!

Just Right!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The owner, Theresa, was so nice and very responsive to our needs. One suggestion would be to come prepared with current information about the area and it's dining spots as the information in the cottage is okay but a little old, in some cases. But in the scheme of things, that is nothing in comparison to the fun we had and the loveliness of the cottage. Highly recommend this spot!

Perfect!

This is a cute little cottage and was perfect for our stay. We were down "off season" for a family wedding. My husband and I wanted someplace close to wedding venue and reception - and this fit the bill. Very well equipped (although we did not cook except to boil some water) this kitchen had it all. Plenty of room for sleeping with 2 bedrooms (we only used "the master"). Bathroom, living room and table to dine at round out the cottage. My husband took a walk in the morning - on and off the beach - and then sat out on the patio of the cottage. Sun, comfortable temps, and slight breeze made for a happy guy. I will remember this cottage if we're down to see family again! Thank you for your lovely home!

Perfect location (not on the main hwy)! We had everything we needed for a 2 night stay for a family wedding. You can tell the house is older but it's been updated. The furniture layout is perfect to get the most out of the small space. The cottage is tiny but cozy and we practically lived outside on the deck. The umbrella came in handy for a particularly sunny beach day. Owner was super communicative throughout! Will definitely consider bringing our kiddos back here for a longer stay.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Perfect location and perfect-sized beach cottage for family of four. Kitchen is beautifully redone. Outside shower was a nice plus. Walking distance to ice cream and local restaurants. Super-fast wifi and extended tv/cable package made a few rainy afternoons whiz bye. Shed is perfect size for bike storage. Patio, grill and picnic table all added to a great experience. Beach is so close that we were able to easily run back and forth to the house a few times a day.

Quaint and Functional !

The location is perfect for kids and our family of 5, There is a bay and beach walking distance and plenty of parks on both the beach and bayside. Bike rentals around the corner , ice cream trucks come around near the parks, nice upgraded kitchen with all the amenities. If you like making smoothies I suggest you bring your ninja blender or foodie to maximize your time out doors especially if you have picky eaters. Multiple Grocery stores within reach which is always a must have with kids. Love the fact that it wasn't as crowded as other beach towns and people are friendly.

Nice Beach Bungalow

We had a very nice time at the little house. Great location between Ocean and Bay beaches. Our son loved the playground on the Bay side. The owner was informative and quick to respond. Overall the house was cute and redone, a little shopworn here and there. Could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom.

Girls get away

We rented Theresa’s cottage for a 3 day girl vacation, we all found it very comfortable and clean, the neighborhood was quiet and the people we saw were very friendly. When we had a question, Theresa was quick to respond. The beach was close enough to walk to . We walked down there just for a few hours when we got there as we spent most of our trip down at seaside which was a short trip down the road. I do recommend this place to anyone who would like a nice quiet place to stay!

Will visit again!

We were very pleased with our experience in this adorable beach cottage. The home was clean and well stocked for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor shower made coming in from playing in the sand easy clean up. The home is only about a block away from the bay beach which has a wonderful park and water access that our daughter enjoyed each day. The neighborhood was beautiful and friendly. We would highly recommend this home for any small family. We hope to visit again in the future!
