Great place for family vacations!

A week off the grid -- not once did we turn on a TV. Lots of time spent around the firepit, at the beach, watching the boats and the kids fishing -- we had a great time!

Great spot!

My friends and I stayed here for a wedding and really enjoyed the property! The fire pit and views of the water were definitely the highlights. Plenty of space to sleep, and get ready with a group of nine people.

Holland Trip

We came for Tulip Time in May to celebrate my 50th. We have a large family with grown children. We had plenty of space and a wonderful time. Staff friendly and helpful, quick to respond too. Such a great place, safe, quiet and beautiful. Close to town but enjoyed staying at the property too!

Relaxing/Spacious Getaway

We had 11 guests for a Bachelorette Party. The Boathouse was perfect for our group of people. The living room (upstairs) was great for relaxing, watching sports, and chit-chatting. The sunroom was a great space to enjoy our coffee, play games, and connect. We really enjoyed the outdoor space as well. If you have a large group of people, I highly recommend you consider the Boathouse as your getaway. Thank you Jessica & Wade!

Unique Property

There are a lot of us and many children! This property was perfect. We enjoyed the ability to gather as a family and play games in the various areas, eat dinner and enjoy the beautiful views. It was wonderful! We were close enough to Holland to enjoy the town as well. The grandkids are already asking to go back!

Boathouse review

Cool old building, not maintained as it once surely deserved to be. Great for large groups but apparently in the middle of a dispute with neighbors around access to the beach …a bit of a cloud over an otherwise fun time with the family.

Great Experience!!

My family and friends really enjoyed this old school boathouse. This place is perfect for 3 families with teenagers. The kids enjoyed walking to the beach and using the basketball court. The adults enjoyed the scenery and the fishing was good from right off the dock. We caught crappie, catfish, and a few drum fish. Watching the sailboats come in and out from the marina was so calming. We will definitely be back one day.

The Boat house

The boathouse is a cool old house. The location is nice being on the water and overlooking the lake and harbor. The host accommodated our lake check in which was helpful. When we checked in most of the extra sheets and towels were still in the dryer, so we folded them and put the towels in the bathroom. Make sure to read the rental agreement, not all of the rules are listed on the VRBO website.

Thanks Brian. Are you wondering to what "Rules" Brian is referring to? Well, we don't allow you to have big parties and bring in a lot of other people without prior approval. Additionally, Brian's group kept trespassing on the neighbors basketball court and had to be told multiple times to leave. So, not so much rules, but common sense and respect weren't used this time.

CBA Family Reunion

We rent a property every year for our family reunion and I have to say this was the best experience ever! We caught over 150 fish just fishing off the shore behind the boat house! Several or 10 pounds or more. My granddaughter caught a fish half her size! Be sure you have a fishing license as the Michigan DOT was present almost every day. The many bedrooms made it very convenient for all the families to have their own room! We rented a boat and it was very convenient to be able to dock it at our own private dock. All the boat slips around us were booked so this was a great convenience! If you have a boat you can dock it right at the boathouse as part of the rental! We plan on coming back next year! That speaks for itself! The real question is “would you do it again” and yes we will!

Perfect !

This place was perfect... plenty of room for 6 couples! With room to spare! The photos do not do this place justice! It was better than expected! The view was beautiful! Lots to do on property and short trip to downtown Holland! Kitchen had everything we needed! Absolutely will book again!🥰

We had a great stay at the Boathouse!

Our ages ranged from 26 to 99. We had plenty of space to accommodate everyone. My mom especially enjoyed sitting on the porch with her binoculars. She could watch the boats on lake Macatawa. Thanks for the great memories!

Great space and location

The location and space are wonderful. There were some housekeeping issues, but overall is was perfect for our group who were staying for a wedding in town. It is dated and has a few things that could be updated, but its charm and uniqueness will win you over.

The Boathouse Worked Out Perfect

We had a group of siblings meet for a long weekend and this place was perfect. It is exactly what we expected, a super cool home in an awesome location with bed for a lot of people! This place is stocked with everything you need. Just show up and relax. The only downfall was the Wi-Fi was very weak, but who cares we are there for vacation!

This is a great location and the boathouse is kept very clean

I take my family on a vacation every year and this location was great. The kids could fish off of the pier- the fire pit was a nice touch for us all to gather each night. We took the boat and kayaks and had a place to keep them. We had a little miscommunication with management about the kids using the pool - we used it for the first 3 days and then were told we couldn't use it but it all worked out.

Family gathering before wedding

We had a wonderful time at the boathouse! The weather was a bit rainy , but we could all hang out on the west porch room and it was perfect for our group. The beds were comfortable, the area was nice to go for walks. The outdoor grill and indoor kitchen appliances were all like new and worked very well! Loved it!

We enjoyed our stay at The Boathouse. The house has lots of room for a large group.

The house was clean and comfortable. The home is close to the beach and downtown Holland. We would definitely rent again.
