La maison est au sommet de Joe Hooke Lane, située sur le versant ouest de Twain Harte, en Californie. La maison n'a aucun bruit de circulation et est calme et relaxante. Les environs sont luxuriants avec des arbres en pleine croissance, des sentiers de randonnée dans toute la propriété de 4 acres. Les sites historiques de Sonora, Twain Harte et Angel Camp sont à proximité, en plus du lac Pine Crest et de la station de ski et des plaisirs de la neige et du ski d'hiver à Dodge Ridge à l'est.

This Mountain House retreat has been such a wonderful gathering space for my family to come together as we grieve their dad/my brother and clean/clear his estate. We've been cooking in, laughing, sharing stories, going thru memorabilia, it's been a nice retreat in the early mornings and evenings when we aren't working at his place. The 3 levels give us areas to spread out and the wrap around deck has gathering spaces to sit in the sunshine, and look at the moon through the trees. Plenty of kitchen amenities, parking, and the host was attentive when we needed. Thank you!

The host was great! The cabin was really nice. Everything was working.The cabin was a little dim at night, but there are a lot of switches, so we might have missed some.The gas fireplace was really a treat to use.

This home was a perfect location for our family. It is very comfortable, and well stocked. It is a little difficult to find, but once you're there, it is a wonderfully secluded and private property. The check-in process and communication with the host was all smooth. There are also helpful instructions throughout the house to ensure that guests and hosts are comfortable with daily usage of the home. I am grateful that this space was available for us.

We had a wonderful stay. The bedroom and bed setups were perfect for our families getting together! We loved making waffles, grilling out burgers, hanging on the patio, the fire pit at night with s’mores. The kids loved the slide and swings. We enjoyed our stay and the nearby lakes are breathtaking! Thanks for letting us stay!

Revisiting the family home

Thank you so much for allowing our large family of 11 to stay in the house my husbands father built! It was a magical experience. We all appreciated the hospitality, cleanliness and communication. There was plenty of room for all of us, and it was such a beautiful and serene location. I can’t recommend this home enough and Heather is an awesome host.

Great house and host. Great space for family. Very well thought out and stocked. Plenty of parking and also room for the kids to explore outside. Just below the snow but close enough to Pinecrest to be able to really enjoy the day.

Fantastic for small intimate wedding

We reached out about hosting a small intimate family wedding and Heather was so accomidating and helpful from the start! We will definitely rent her house again next time we are needing a house in the area!!

Great to get away!

Love the Bay Area, but so nice to take the family to a get away that’s not so far. We celebrated our 50th anniversary. Was able to park and sleep all that came. Even brought the dog. The outdoor deck is amazing. So peaceful even with our large and loud group. Thanks for sharing your amazing property!

Another great stay

Have stayed here several summers in a row. Will do again. House is clean, property kept well, outdoor patio is amazing for a large group, fire pit a joy and it couldn't be more private. Heather (owner) is delightful and accomodating. Feels like our home away from home.

Holiday getaway!

My family and I had an amazing time celebrating the holidays in such a beautiful home. The home was welcoming, comfortable and big enough to acccomate our big family. The check in process was a breeze and the owner was very accommodating when we had questions about the property. We will be back again in the summer. Can’t wait.
