Nestled in the mountains just a 25-minute drive from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort & Pinecrest Lake, this property offers the perfect escape for families and groups seeking a peaceful and fun getaway. We get enough snow in winter to play but not too much to shut down roads.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cozy fireplace, a smart TV with satellite/cable channels, and free WiFi to keep you connected. We had a wonderful stay at this spacious home with plenty of room to spread out. The outdoor decks were very appealing: spacious with lovely furniture and views. Awesome place!

The owner is responsive with inquiries and confirmed that the house was ready for our late arrival. There was plenty of room in the driveway for multiple cars and the house sits on a cul-de-sac so you could park at the top of the driveway if necessary (e.g., snow). There were extra sheets, bedding, and blankets around, although I might suggest bringing some extra if you have the max # of ppl and you need to spread out. This was one of the few nice houses that could accommodate our three families with kids in beds of their own! The kitchen was well- equipped, although I would bring some containers or baggies for leftovers. The bathrooms were great (adults seemed to like the upstairs shower in the hall) and they had heated floors, and we loved the fireplace! The family must be tall because the kitchen island was high and the window to the outside on the front door was so high! The boys loved the game room (garage), and the girls liked the outdoor decks. I liked the nice touches they added, like offering earplugs. They seem to be a lovely (and trusting—No locks on owner cabinets/closets!) family, and we thank you for graciously opening your home. Oh yeah, kudos for the written labels everywhere!!

Cheryl’s “slice of heaven” is stunning! We have rented many properties in the area and we found a gem! Nice and quiet

10 of us gather every year for a friends getaway. This property was more than ample sized for us. We all like to cook so the kitchen was a real standout. Plenty of common areas to gather in and two big decks.

Great time in Twain Harte

A great place to stay, especially if you have a big group. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, arcade cabinet, board games, and nearby mini-golf. Comfortable spaces for the grown ups to relax.

Family Retreat

Beautiful, well furnished home. Had everything from a gourmet kitchen to baby accessories. There were baby gates for our use as needed. The house is in a beautiful setting with a wonderful view of the forest above the trees. The only negative was a fee barking dogs. Thanl you for a great visit.

Family trip

First off the house was beautiful, had plenty of space for all my family . We all got have our own space which is a must when you are having a family get-away . The views were wonderful, the patio was exactly what we needed to enjoy our dinner together . We also enjoyed the garage entertainment from ping pong to Pac-Man and galaga . Family had a blast and we willl cherish these memories for years to come . We will be back thank you.

Beautiful Home for All Age Groups!

We had a wonderful annual family weekend in this beautiful, huge, comfortable home at the end of a quiet lane. (Wish I had 1/2 the closet/cabinet space in my own house!) The house is fully equipped with ALL amenities and is very child/toddler friendly! Our 18 month old had a great time. Cheryl was an understanding, generous, and accomodating host. We had a rocky start with the housecleaning crew but Cheryl quickly resolved the issue which we greatly appreciated. We all created lasting joyful memories. Thank you to Cheryl and her family for sharing their vacation home with us.

CA mountain vacation

We had such a lovely stay! The house was clean and large, perfect for a big groups. We had adults, teens and little kids and everyone was happy with the house. There are fun things for little kids which was so helpful. My teens took over the basement and loved having their own space. The host was so kind and quick to respond. Would highly recommend the property.

Beautiful and serene location

This house welcomed us with spacious layout, gorgeous view from the windows, all decked kitchen, and a family friendly living room. Kids enjoyed books, toys and board games, and PacMan in the garage. It is 20 minutes away from Pinecrest lakes where we spent almost every afternoon. Twain Harte town council has a new boba place and a few shops for us to explore. The host is very responsive and was able to solve our questions. We highly recommend this place.
