À propos du quartier

Winter Park

Great place for a ski trip

These are all older properties but this one is neat, tidy, clean and has been updated. For one or two people this works well. The owner was very responsive and helpful.

Fun trip to CO, few issues that didn’t impact our stay too much.

Place was exactly what we needed, clean, quiet, warm. Also very close to WP resort which was nice.Few small things that were slightly frustrating, including coffee machine not working, fan not working, pillows not fluffy. All in all, good stay, thanks for hosting us!

worst experience EVER on a vacation

Absolutley Horrible. I could go on and on. I will never again use vrbo. Nobody has yet from verbo even reached out after all tyhe problems we encountered. 1.) We arrived in winter park. Went to check our online check in and was never givin a door code to enter the residents. For 4hrs we tried reaching out to the property owner and property onsite staff. we sat in the parking lot for 5hrs. This was compoletly unacceptable, Its was our anniversary. I had brought a huge dinner to cook at the residents and was unable to do this for my wife. We had to get a hotel at midnight and eat mcdonalds on our anniversary. The following we day we werte supposed to meet friends to go ski but because we didnt get to bed and settled into a hotel and then having to apck up our belongings for checkout we were unable to ski with our childhood friends that we hadnt seen in years. 2.) also in the piuctures it shows a bbq grill on the patio so we had spent money on bringing up food to bbq. apparently there was not a grill on the patio any longer so we wasted alot of money on food. 3.) aklso stated that this unit had a refregerator. This unit actually had a very small door room size refrigerator. We had to go buy coolers to keep our food cold. 4.) They offered us only an additional 2 nights at the location. They didint even offer us our money back. At this point we just wanted to go home. 5.) property manager told us they would have us a free dinner at a local restaurant. We went the next evening after getting dressed up and happy they did something for us since they ruined are anniversary only for the restaraunt to have not gotten a gift card call in from the property managment. 6.) On our second to last day the power had went out and we woke up freezing cold. Called the property manager with whom I never got a response back. We went to the local store to get fire wood but they were out of wood. We had to go buy are own electric heater to sit by just to stay warm. This was the worst vacation ever. customer service was horrible and what we expected was not what it was. They also had piuctures of a pool and hot tub so we thought that was a n option since since they have pictures of it. Anyways im extremelly unhappy and what a waste.

Hi Jacob, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and we're sorry that you encountered some issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner, who wanted to share the following: - My property manager provided call logs to show that they called you back within 15 minutes of you reaching out on the night of check-in. They left a voicemail with the door code and did not hear from you again. - I'm sorry that you still were not able to get into the unit, but I hope the refund granted and gift card helped lessen your frustration. - The hot tubs are currently closed due to Covid restrictions, as is noted in the listing. Grills are also banned right now, which is why we removed ours. - I apologize that your trip got off to a rocky start but hope that you appreciated the efforts from myself and Evolve to make things right. We will continue to work hard to provide relaxing stays for all of our guests.

Not adequate for long stays

Very small, not much larger than a typical hotel room. COVID made us cancel our California ski trip so we booked Winter Park on short notice. This condo would be fine for two people for a weekend and eating out. Unfortunatey we booked for two weeks. Advertised sleeps four - but there is no table and the bar only has three seats. Kitchen appliances adequate except mini-fridge that stores practically nothing. Only had two sets of towels for two week stay, so we left a voicemall request with management company but never got a return call. Didn't matter because we decided to lose the rental $$ and for a little more we booked a nicer 2 bdr/2ba with a local company.

Hi Lucia, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed that this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - The listing description reflects that this is a studio unit. - We use professional photography for the home, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised, including the number of stools and size of the fridge. - We're so sorry if you had difficulty working with the on-site property manager. We'll work with them to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. Thank you for letting us know about your stay.

Overall great, but cleanliness wasn’t

The condo was super cute and great for a couple. Was super close to town and right on a bus route to the mountain. Cleanliness was an issue - the refrigerator had a bad smell and a lot of the dishes weren’t clean. The bathroom tub was gross and was easily cleaned with scrubbing bubbles. Especially with COVID I would have expected better.

Perfect Getaway

This rental location is perfect for a couple to getaway. It was super clean and well-stocked with all of the things we needed, and more. Located within minutes of shops and restaurants, we rarely needed to drive anywhere. Trails are abundant in the area and easy to get to - including a 17 mile river trail next to the location. I would highly recommend this location!

Cozy Place, Great Location

We loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the rushing stream right outside the unit. Felt quiet and secluded despite being in a large complex right in town. Great location with easy access to everything. Place was clean and stocked with essentials. Smaller than expected but that was ok for just the two of us. I wouldn’t want to bring kids to this unit- third floor walk up and too small for a family. Also beware the recreation center (pool, spa, laundry etc.) is all closed completely “until further notice” due to Covid. Overall wonderful stay and just what we hoped for in our week away!

Excellent alternative to staying at ski resort

Highly recommend! The property is exactly as pictured, clean, thoughtfully decorated, with an ideal location near bus routes. (On the third floor so prepare for outside stairs to access.) Super quiet, great river view from the deck, maybe the most ideally located building at Hi Country Haus. It was snowing, temps below freezing during our stay yet we still walked easily from the property to nearby restaurants and businesses. Location is a huge plus! Real wood fireplace so we didn't end up messing with it since we mostly just worked in the early mornings (WiFi is good) and skied all day but I'm sure it's lovely if you acquire wood. Plenty of dishes, utensils, darling kitchen, good water pressure, comfortable bed. Highly recommend!

Ski Weekend

Property is as advertised. Solid location and nice top studio unit. There are no window coverings on sliding glass door, so don't plan on sleeping in. The TV has no HD, so the picture is lacking. Tried to contact the property manager during stay but never heard anything back.

Door was unlocked when we arrived and did not lock properly the entire time we were there. Listed by vacation rental company, but actually managed by another third party. Entire experience felt off. Would not recommend.

Nice location

The studio apartment was as it was described. The fridge is a mini fridge that won’t fit much. The rec center decided to change their keys mid stay, forcing us to go to the laundromat in Granby. We enjoyed the location and the river running through the property. You are required to walk up stairs to get to the 3rd floor. Which was no issue for us, but could be for others. Overall enjoyed the studio apartment and the complex, we will stay again next time we come to winter park.

Nice Place in a Great Location

This was the perfect place for 2 of us on a long weekend. The location was perfect and just a short drive from the mountain (7 min). There was a storage closet for ski gear and plenary of kitchen utensils to cook with. The hot tub, exercise room and laundry room were just a short walk or drive away. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Thanksgiving ski getaway condo

We just returned from a 3 night stay here. Location is perfect, 5 min to the resort and walking distance to restaurants. We skied all day, enjoyed a fire in the fireplace while cooking a big pot of soup for dinner, then relaxed in the hot tub before bed. The condo is cozy and warm, adorably decorated and quiet. A few items that would have made things even easier: the existing skis, poles, pack n play and fire logs stored in the ski closet made it very difficult to store our three pair of skis, poles and ski boots, which is required in the policy. As an avid cook, I needed a liquid measure and a blender for making soup which were not available. A hairdryer would also allow guests to pack less for their stay. These were minor inconveniences and we plan to come back in warmer months and enjoy the nearby trails and the river that runs next to the condo.

Little slice of heaven

This property is beautiful ! We listened to the river flowing every night while we fell asleep, it was so peaceful. Gorgeous Mountain View’s from the windows and patio. We also had access to the pool and hot tubs in the clubhouse. While in the outdoor hot tub one night, we had three deer come right up to the deck and graze. The condo itself was updated beautifully. It was very cozy and comfy. We loved it. It had everything we needed - they even left us some coffee cups for the keurig ! The dishes were very nice as well! It was just perfect. When we come to Winter Park again we will be staying here again as well. Thankyou to the owners for sharing their little piece of heaven with us!
