Newly remodeled Coach House on Crooked Lake with new dock

The lake does get weedy in late July and August. We do state this in the description and tell people about the wonderful sandbars along the lake they can take a boat too and wonderful beaches located 1 mile away from cottage by car if they want to swim. Our cottage is centrally located to enjoy all the swimming you could possibly want or boating to multiple sandbars along the chain of inland water ways (5 largest fresh water lakes in Michigan). We also have a 40 ft dock that you can park you boat at and take to Multiple swimming holes along the inland waterways (5 lakes). Cottage is also fully renovated and located 1 mile away from Petoskey restaurants, shopping, microbreweries and site seeing destinations. We also have the bike path right by the cottage for bike riding and a nature preserve a few hundred feet away for hiking.

Unfortunately guest did not read there is another cottage on property. He called me after I sent out welcome letter and admitted he booked last minute and didn’t read the listing. Pictures clearly show both cottages and we describe them in listing info multiple times. We also mention it’s not a swim beach when we talk about the docking. You can absolutely dock a boat easily, including a pontoon. We have had tons of families stay and dock boats and explore the chain of lakes. Each cottage has its own fire pit down by lake. Guest showed up on property before their checkin (1 day early) to take pictures and disrupt our our guests in other cottage. They were going to throw a party and were mad other guests were on property.

I don't have a picture of the balcony at all and I even say peak views of the water from balcony. The coach house is implied its behind the 1 story cottage also on the property. We show a picture of the front and back of the coach house and you can clearly see the location of the 2nd cottage. Both cottages do share the waterfront area with a designated firepit for the coach house by the water. I don't understand how these guest complain about the waterfront area and then complain we don't have more expensive chairs to sit down by the water to enjoy the view. (these statement contradict themselves) We also state that its not a swim beach in the description as it gets really weedy in July and August. There are TONS of areas on Crooked lake that you can take a boat to and enjoy swimming. We even have kyaks and a paddle boat for short excursions on the water. Crooked lake is part of the chain of lakes so you can literally spend days exploring the largest fresh water lakes in Michigan with multiple sandbars along different parts of each lake. We point this out in our listing and to all our guests. These guests did not bring a boat or rent a boat so they really did not get the great experience of exploring the multiple lakes they had access to on property. They also did not want to use the kyaks or paddle boats on property which we provide free with each rental. As for the comments about the outside of the property being weedy and not kept up on is a total lie. We have a small 3 ft section behind the coach house where the trash cans are kept that has a little tall grass cause our mower can't always get to it due to guests parking cars behind coach house and trash cans. Our lot is 50 ft wide by over 260 ft long and is mowed and weed whipped every week by a landscape service. The house is centrally located close to everything. Its ideal for people who These guests did not want to rent a boat, bike, walk the nature preserve across the road, or enjoy a walk down the historic road our cottages are on that have some of the move beautiful houses on the lake On a personal note these guests tried to reschedule their trip last minute before check in. They smoked in house which is prohibited, left wet towels in kitchen sink, and told me my trash can was missing (which it was not). They left pop bottles and 2 liter filled with ashes/water on deck. I am shocked these people were so rude and smoked considering I bent over to reschedule them.
