Vintage Adirondack Cabin Saranac Lake - animaux acceptés

Ce sympathique Adirondack Location de chalet de vacances pour animaux de compagnie est situé à 3 miles du village de Saranac Lake. La cabine de bord de mer est sur Kiwassa décharge du lac, qui fait partie de la chaîne de Saranac Lacs, et est disponible au printemps, été et automne.

Cuisine, salon et combinaison de salle à manger dispose de deux grandes baies vitrées avec une vue sur l'eau. Il a également une commode, siège d'amour, grande table avec des chaises, poêle à bois. La cuisine est entièrement équipée d'une cuisinière à gaz / four, réfrigérateur, cafetière, grille-pain, évier, ustensiles de cuisine, couverts et la vaisselle (service pour 5).

Deux chambres ont un lit double avec des housses de matelas et d'oreillers. Les clients doivent apporter leurs propres draps, couvertures et serviettes.

La salle de bains a une toilette, lavabo et douche. Cette cabine Adirondack dispose également d'une dépendance pour une utilisation comme un «deuxième salle de bains.

Chalet est une location de l'entretien du chalet qui signifie qu'il n'y a pas de service de ménage. Les clients apportent leurs propres draps, serviettes, couvertures, etc, et les clients doivent quitter la cabine comme ils l'ont trouvé, sinon le dépôt de garantie sera confisqué.

Perfect location

We came to the cabin with our 6 month old and with the intent of relaxing and unplugging. The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for.

Great ADK visit!

My girlfriend, our dog and I had a great time at this property. We kayaked, fished, played board and card games, went into Saranac Lake, traveled around the ADKs, went swimming, cliff jumping (split rock falls) and really connected with each other. This was a huge trip for our relationship and I greatly appreciate the host providing exactly what we needed.

Cozy stay

Hospitality was great, cabin was great, some construction going on at time. Advised after that we could’ve moved cabins. Wish there were more trails nearby to adventure. But kayaking and camping the area was perfect! Enjoyed our stay overall!

Back in Time

Our stay was like a step back in time to a cozy fishing cabin our family rented in Canada decades ago. The cabin was warm, comfortable, clean and in a private area. This "housekeeping cabin" as they used to be called was a true Adirondack experience and we'd highly recommend it to everyone.

Great time at rustic cabin

The time we spent at the cabin was fun, but it wasn’t the cleanest place to stay. And the. electric outlet behind the sink was not up yo code at all, an electric power cord should never be used in a faulty outlet

Sorry that your cabin experience was not up to your expectations. Had we known there was a problem, we could have addressed it or moved you to another cabin. We would never knowingly use a “faulty outlet”. We take pride in the cleanliness of our cabins. When we took you into the cabin upon arrival, you remarked how nice it was. We live on the property and are happy to remedy any situation! Cleaning or electrical! We never saw nor heard from you while you were here.

A real sweet taste of the Adirondacks

The hosts were friendly, the cabin clean and the setting beautiful - what more could you ask for? We were in the area for a weekend of mountain climbing and boy did we appreciate a hot shower at the end of the day! (Not to mention a stove and a fridge.) The nice thing about it was we had those creature comforts but didn't have to sacrifice the "feel" of camping. We could hear the loons from the deck and the mornings on the dock were beautiful and peaceful. The nights were dark and quiet - the way they are supposed to be! If you're looking for a great place for a family getaway, you have found it.

We had a wonderful quite stay, the cabin was really cool and so private, !!!!! Definitely thinking about coming back, wish we could have had a bonfire, but once i saw how heavily wooded this area was i realized why its not allowed and ww where offered a different spot to use, but didnt need to. The kids loved jumping off the private dock to swim. ( just had to be careful of boat traffic) most boaters saw the kids and slowed down.. a few did not and that was scary as they where close to where the boaters come in and out of the little river, so they had ti jump out quickly a few times. So definitely need a adult to keep close watch for that. Overall we where close to everything and it was so nice to get away and enjoy the mountains!!!!! The flumes arw about 25 minutes away on 86 in Wilmington i suggest everyone check those out!!!! Especially if you like cliffs jumping into natural water. Thank you Marjorie!

Vintage charm, great location, comfortable stay

We loved our stay at this cozy vintage cabin! The cabin location right on the water with private dock was perfect for use of our SUPs and for fishing. Occasionally a motor boat would go by the dock a tad fast, but overall there was much less boat traffic than I expected which was great for our SUP use and general enjoyment of the quiet. (Of note, we were only there on weekdays, so it may be weekends are busier.) The cabin itself is vintage style but comfortable with warm shower, large fridge, basic kitchen supplies. Be sure to bring headlamps or flashlights for outdoors. Despite hot weather, the shady location and ceiling fan were sufficient to keep the space cool. It was too hot for us to require heat, but the wood stove and propane heater look very sufficient. Fire wood is available for purchase on site. There are no outdoor campfires permitted but there is a small Weber grill that we didn’t use. There is a short walk down a well maintained path to the cabin which should be noted. We loved being in an isolated location, while close to town where we could also enjoy restaurants! The price felt a little too high considering you are required to bring your own bedding and clean the cabin on departure, but as a last minute booking we were thrilled this was available and overall the stay exceeded expectations!

Perfect Cabin for Unwinding

Peaceful Stay!

I loved the rustic feel of these cabins and the opportunity to unplug for a bit. The place felt very remote but was not too far from the local farmers market, provisions, hiking trails etc. Marjorie was an excellent host and very accommodating. It was our first trip to the Adirondacks and we will definitely try to stay here again when we return!

Great place to unplug

We loved the area, close to downtown Saranac Lake but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. Being right on the small lake was great and there was even a distant Mountain View from the end of the dock! Our two dogs loved walking in the woods. The cabin itself was very rustic but had what we needed. We want to come back for sure!

The cabin was nicely secluded in the woods, very quiet and absolutely clean and beautiful. Located on Lake Kiwassa in Saranac Lake , NY. Our hostess Marjorie was very pleasant and even took the time to show us where and how everything within the cabin was located and how things worked. My only regret was that we could not spend more time at this wonderful get-away.

A quintessential Adirondack vacation spot

A quintessential Adirondack vacation spot. A cozy cabin surrounded by a deep dark forest of Hemlock, Cedar and Birch trees right on the water. Great location with close access to restaurants in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.

Great lake, friendly staff - NO Outside FIRES

Firstly, the kids had a blast! And that is really what it is all about. The cabin was great, if I were to do it again I'd be sure to pack matttress pads and a fan. Otherwise you have everything you need. Bringing/renting a boat is a must! Fishing was amazing (nothing big) the kids caught a fish every time they cast - by the dozen! Only downside was NO outside fires...which is a bit of a bummer, because sitting outside around a fire would make it perfect! There is no outside lighting- so if you sit outside you’ll need a lantern. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom- the water pressure was great and we always had hot water. Overall, great place.

Glad the kids enjoyed their camping adventure! Sorry we cannot allow outdoor fires due to insurance and especially our woodsy property. Charcoal grills are provided for your smore making! We have found that outside lights attract bugs so have opted for the use of lanterns and/or flashlights for minimal night time use. Fans and mattress pads are both provided and am sorry you didn't let us know there was none in your cabin.

We own several properties in the area and this cabin is one of our favorites. We have lived in the Adirondacks since 1991 but have been part-time residents since the 1960s. We even attended the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid! We can offer suggestions for activities unless you simply want to rest and relax in a cabin.

This is the most scenic area in the east! It is an easy place to rest, relax and enjoy life at a slower pace. Kiwassa Lake is an idyllic and quiet lake and most guests return year after year to get away from the hustle and bustle of a faster pace.

The cabin offers a wonderful deck with seating that allows guests to put their feet up, read a book and soak up the view of the lake.

Often guests will take in a sighting of our lake loon and its beautiful calls. Other guests have said they have seen eagles, deer, fish jumping, wild types of birds, etc…
