Le studio Chuckanut Trail est un lieu de retraite «rustique-chic» niché à quelques pas du sentier interurbain de Bellingham - Parc national de Larrabee. Il est idéalement situé, juste à côté de la pittoresque Chuckanut Drive et à seulement 6 km de route ou à 20 minutes de vélo du quartier historique de Fairhaven. Area propose des boutiques, des galeries, des microbrasseries, des lieux de divertissement / musique et de fabuleux restaurants au bord de l’eau.

Ce charmant studio indépendant offre une vue sur la baie de Chuckanut, niché au milieu des arbres Firs & Madrona du Pacifique, avec un accès par un sentier privé. Il est parfait pour une escapade romantique en couple ou un week-end d’aventures en plein air qui fait la renommée de la région: sentiers de randonnée, randonnée Fragrance / Lost Lake, randonnée en VTT sur le sentier Ridge ou exploration de la mer des Salish en kayak. Tout près se trouve snowboard / ski Mt. Baker, escapades de golf ou VTT Galbraith. C'est également un endroit idéal pour les familles en visite à l'université Western Washington, assister à une réunion ou à un mariage, aux écrivains ou artistes en quête d'inspiration, aux tulipes de la vallée Bow-Edison & Skagit, au yoga ou à ceux qui souhaitent simplement échapper à la vie urbaine. Chuckanut Trails Studio est votre retraite idéale pour toutes les saisons!

Confort et chaleur émanent des parquets en acacia, des plafonds en cèdre, du poêle à bois, des accents de pierre et de fer. De bon goût, de nouvelles mises à jour tout au long. Faites preuve de créativité en préparant des repas simples dans votre propre cuisine gastronomique, avec une table de cuisson à gaz, un four micro-ondes, un réfrigérateur, un lave-vaisselle ou devenez un “localvore” dans un certain nombre de restaurants uniques, marchés fermiers ou parcs à huîtres. Les couchages de plain-pied comprennent un lit escamotable en chêne avec un matelas en mousse à mémoire de forme haut de gamme, un espace de rangement et un garde-manger spacieux. Lorsque le lit est rétracté, une table rabattable astucieuse sert également de salle à manger et de poste de travail informatique dans un plan d'étage ouvert. Le coin salon comprend une table basse live, deux fauteuils pantoufles, un canapé-lit gigogne avec coussinet Tempurpedic, un îlot en bois dur amovible, un haut-parleur Alexa en dents de scie, une télévision par satellite Smart HD de 43 pouces et un accès à Internet haut débit. Il y a aussi un loft en moquette de 75 pieds carrés pour la détente ou la lecture. Le loft dispose également d'un moniteur à écran plat et d'un futon queen de qualité pouvant servir de zone de couchage supplémentaire. Il y a une seule salle de bain carrelée chauffée avec douche. Il y a deux entrées, une via un garage privé (pour votre usage personnel) et une autre via un curseur menant à votre propre terrasse extérieure en dalles, flanquée de blocs de grès d'origine locale, de sapins de Madrona et de Douglas et de vues sur la baie.

February Getaway

For chilly and rainy February, I can't think of a better place to stay than Chuckanut Trails Studio. One of my favorite areas to hike right off of the property and yet even better a place to relax while staying in a warm and luxurious space. Kudos to our hosts for wonderful accommodations and support.

Wonderful getaway

Beautiful location and cottage! The space is clean, comfortable, and has everything you could need. Host was very responsive and welcoming. Our two pups enjoyed walking the nearby urban trail. The location was perfect for our trips to Fairhaven and Bellingham. We would love to come back!

Fantastic location, view, and hosts!

Ed was a wonderful host, greeting us at check-in with his friendly dog, Chester. The location is unbeatable, just uphill of Chuckanut Drive and on the Inter-Urban Trail with easy access to Larrabee State Park, and just a 10-minute drive from downtown Bellingham. The view of sunsets over Lummi Island are unparalleled. We will definitely stay at the Chuckanut cabin the next time we visit Bellingham!

Lovely modern cabin in the woods

Lots of nice amenities, pretty fancy but still comfy. Can't beat the easy trail access and nearby the ocean beach at the state park a few minutes drive away. Wish we'd had more time to explore area lakes and relax on the litte patio. The upstairs loft is so tranquil with lots of light and windows overlooking the trees. Recommend!

Lovely Studio on Interurban Trail

This wonderfully appointed studio was perfect for the two of us and our small dog. It was private and well-located just steps from the Interurban Trail (great for walking, jogging or bike riding). Ed was a great host and was quick to answer any questions.

Lovely property and great location

The studio is well kept and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we might have needed and then some. The Murphy bed was comfortable but a little noisy. We would stay here again. We didn't get a chance to walk the trails that are basically right outside the door.

Cute studio in great location

My partner and I loved our stay at this cabin. It's in a beautiful location off Chuckanut Drive and easy access to the interurban trail which we really enjoyed - we hiked and biked right from the studio with minimal need for a car. The hosts are communicative and friendly, the VRBO is well stocked, and we appreciated the extra storage space in the garage for our bikes and bike rack. Would highly recommend!

Awesome and Easy

We were in Bellingham to visit family. The directions to get to this place helped immensely since it is secluded and 10 minutes from downtown. Once we got there it was perfect, easy to access and fully appointed with amenities. It made staying there a breeze and pleasant. The owner checked in when we saw him in the distance but also respected our privacy. Overall a great experience.

B'ham revisited

My wife lived in B'ham before I met her and I went to grad school there so we were revisiting the area. The location was great for us and Ed was very personable and made himself available for any questions we had about the place. The place was fully stocked with whatever we needed & we were comfortable for the full extent of our stay. Plan to revisit again. Our sheltie loved the trail availability and felt comfortable monitoring the squirrels and nature around us as well. He gives it 5 paws up.

A perfect weekend escape!

This studio was clean, organized, and had everything we needed for our getaway weekend. The communication with our hosts was excellent. We lucked out with awesome weather to enjoy the endless biking and hiking trails around the area. And we enjoyed superb food at restaurants nearby. The bathroom door was a tad squeaky, but nothing a little DW40 can't fix:) Thanks Ed and Melinda!

This studio was perfect in every way! Excellent communication from the owner. Literally a few steps off the Interurban Trail and Larrabee State Park, and a short drive to Fairhaven. The studio is very well stocked with everything you might need or want. It was also meticulously clean and well organized. Would definitely go back again!!

Charming Cabin with Views!

What a perfect getaway cabin for my husband and me (as well as our dog!) - it had everything we needed and was quiet and peaceful with direct access to the trail. The hosts were so kind to credit us a night when we had to leave one day early due to a home emergency. Thank you, we will be back soon!

Perfect escape

I had an amazing stay here. The hosts were very attentive & graciously left on some extra lights & provided extra instructions for my arrival as I was much later than anticipated. So close to Bellingham but really felt like an unplugged getaway in the Forrest with an amazing peek-a-boo ocean view, spectacular sunsets! I look forward to staying again!

Everything about this sweet place is perfect

Things i now know: Bellingham is a beautiful slice of the world (sunshine helps and we had an abundance of it), this little house is the perfect place for a mini vacation. The owners are very welcoming , the view from the patio(with lovely fire pit) is worth the price of admission, i regret how short our stay was. That’s what i now know!

Great hideaway in the Chuckanut mountains

My wife and I just spent a week here visiting our daughter and this place was fantastic. Ed and Melinda made sure that all the little details were taken care of with many nice amenities to enjoy. The place is exactly what you see and it's location is amazing. Walk out your backyard and you are on the interurban trail that takes you into Bellingham and beyond. The views were priceless. Highly recommend this property if you are going to visit Bellingham and the Chuckanut mountain areas!

Get away

The location is great for mountain biking and spending time at one of the many lakes. The place is very clean. The murphy bed is easy to open and close and allows you to have a larger place during the day. Opening the upstairs windows at night made the house comfortable for sleeping at night. Wish we could have stayed longer.
