L'Iris Maison sauvage

Venez séjourner dans notre maison du milieu du siÚcle, récemment rénovée, au coeur de Joseph, Oregon! AprÚs avoir élevé notre famille dans cette belle vallée seulement une ville ailleurs, nous avons décidé d'acheter et de rénover cette maison pour les visiteurs. Nous avons pensé à chaque détail, pour assurer une expérience merveilleuse.
Quand nous voyageons, Confort, un espace suffisant et une bonne cuisine sont essentiels. Pour cette raison, nous avons meublĂ© la maison avec de nouveaux lits Queen (plus un Hide-a-lit dans le salon), et a Ă©quipĂ© la cuisine dans toute son Ă©tendue. Nous avons mĂȘme reverni les planchers de bois franc d'origine!

Terrific property and very gracious hosts. The house was great and well stocked, all the convenances of home - Dishwasher, washer & dryer. One thing that was listed in description was a hide abed, the couch in the house didn't have a hide abed the couch was wide enough for one of our guest to sleep on comfortably. Overall it was a great stay.

Flawless check in. Responsive friendly owner. Cozy clean home with comfortable furniture and beds, quailty towels and sheets, plenty of kitchen supplies. Binder with guides to restaurants and local attractions. Truely everything we needed for our stay. I wish all of our VRBO experiences were this nice. We had a great time exploring the Joseph area. You know that place in your dreams? This is it!

Once in a lifetime you find the place in your dreams where time stands still and people are genuinely nice, where deer munch on the apples in your yard, where everything is green and clean and safe and sunny. And there are lakes and rivers, streams and ponds and hiking trails and views that make the Grand Canyon look puny. And there are no crowds anywhere. Friendly neighbors make you feel at home from the moment you drive up to the Wild Iris. The beds are really comfortable, the A/C works very well. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything including a huge spice rack and blender, and there is a good washer and dryer with plenty of laundry soap. The owner is so nice and helpful. We felt like friends from day one. We are booking our next stay here now.

Great location and house for the three of us. We have a two year old kid and the place was great for him. He loved the toy tractor and the deer obviously. Having a high chair was great. House is very close to the lake and downtown Joseph.

Cozy stay in a great location!

We had a great stay in the Wild Iris House. Set against a beautifully mountain backdrop, it is located right on the edge of downtown Joseph and within walking distance of virtually all the best shops and eateries in town. Each day of our stay, we had unexpected visits from wildlife, including a six-point buck casually walking through the yard munching on leaves from neighboring trees. And if you lay out under the stars at night, you have a striking view of the Milky Way during the darkest hours of the evening. Highly recommended!

The Iris House

The property exceeded our expectations! The house was adorable and had everything we needed. Loved the openness of the living room/kitchen/dining nook. The sun in the morning streamed in and lit up the house. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were soft. The heat/air was easy to use, and we used both during our stay haha. We sat out back at the patio table and watched the deer meander by and listened and watched the robins. The neighbors were friendly and kind (One neighbor apologized because she thought she was being too loud. She wasn’t.) The house is in a great location and has a view of the mountains from the beautiful backyard. The flowers and plants up front make it super cheerful & inviting. The kitchen is great and has nice appliances. We ate every breakfast and 4 dinners at the house during our 6 day stay. Kathy was super responsive during the process and I felt very comfortable with her and her rental. I highly recommend staying for any length of time; you will not be disappointed.

Perfect Stay

I, my husband, and his 96 year old mother stayed at the Wild Iris House for a week. It was comfortable, extremely clean and well-stocked. The location was ideal for our outings and on the days Mom decided to stay in, she was comfortable and well-entertained by the deer! Kathy was quick to respond to my questions beforehand, and everything was so well-ordered and instructions so thorough, we had a relaxing, no hassle visit.

Charming Small Town Oasis

Kathy's house is absolutely adorable. It's perfectly located between the charming town of Joseph and the stunning Wallowa Lake. We loved our stay immensely. The kitchen is extremely well appointed, and the house has everything needed to feel like a safe, relaxing haven. The deer nibbling on the apple trees in the backyard was the icing on the cake. Truly loved it here, and would stay again in an instant :)

We have made Wallowa County our home for the last 40 years, and plan to spend the next 40 years here as well! Always on the go, we enjoy hiking, golfing, and being tourists in our own town.

We bought this property because it was sad and rundown and we wanted to make it beautiful again. We have completely renovated it and are very happy with the results. We hope visitors will enjoy it as well.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We wanted to make this a vacation rental property because the location is perfect. It is close to the north end of Wallowa Lake where the locals swim and play and also central to downtown Joseph. Local deer love our backyard. The backyard is large and would be great for a volleyball game and the patio is perfect for barbecuing.
