This home and our stay in Sedona were amazing... The home is beautiful (the images reflect the house and the views of Thunder Mountain and Chimney Rock as they are, not photoshopped), and the amenities are fantastic. The home is just 1/2 mile from the Teacup trailhead, less than 15 minutes from most of the day hike trailheads in the Sedona area, and close to the major shopping and restaurants in the area. The homeowners, Peter and Susan, were attentive and responsive to any questions that we had. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an amazing time in Sedona!
Coffee Pot Rock. There's a fun hike to the base that we recommend using the All Trails App for to make sure you stay on the trail!

Very nice home with stunning views. Great amenities including heated bathroom floors and rainhead shower in master, open concept, fireplace, hot tub, amd more! Location provided great access to nearby stores, hiking trails, and downtown. Only major downside was bed linens and pillows - both were rough and stiff, versus soft and plush. Not much communication with host, but check-in was easy and clear instructions left in home. Overall, a nice stay.

This is an incredible property - even better than the pictures! The location in West Sedona is great - you have access to lots of restaurants and hiking without having to go into Uptown if you don't want to deal with traffic. The property is clean, and very well maintained - everything is spotless, well stocked, well organized. We are so glad we found this property and can't wait to come back!

Our stay at Beauty and the Beast was everything we could have wanted. The house is to architectural perfection set in the beauty of Sedona. The view out of the huge back window was nothing short of awesome and the neighborhood very accessible to walking, hiking, and an easy ride down the hill to town, the markets, and et al. Overall the property was nice and as described and as shown in the pictures. We used the hot tub a couple of times (and added chemicals as directed on the laminated sheet), and enjoyed eating outside, watching sunsets, and taking an afternoon break after some early morning hiking.The owner showed up, unexpectedly, at the house an hour after we checked in, despite having at least the previous 6 hours (time between check out and our check in), so they could pick up a brick from the backyard. It felt liked we were being "checked out". There was no heads up, no communication, just a knock on the door.That in of itself, while odd, would have been OK. Unfortunately, it wasn't the only time the owner stopped by either. Part of the VRBO experience is the abscense of the owner. We never knew when they might stop by again, and it left us feeling a little uneasy for our entire stay.One other thing to note for your stay. Perhaps this is common in this area of the country (for air flow?), but there are large openings above the bedroom doors. So, even if you close the door, there is no privacy. Not a concern for the two of us, but if you have a family/group be informed. There are no doors on the bathrooms in the two large bedrooms either. If someone is taking a shower / using the bathroom and you are in the bedroom or the living room you can hear them.

Dear Rich,  Thank you for staying at our beautiful vacation property, and thank you for leaving it clean and undamaged.   It's important when reviewing homes on VRBO to base your review on actual events and perhaps not your personal interpretation or judgement of those events.   Everyone has their own biases, phobias, and particular mindsets that may lead them to misjudge things.   Our meet and greet when you arrived was nothing more than that.  I assure you, it was not some covert attempt to "check you out" and neither was our visit to take the garbage can out and back from the curb.  I'm sorry those actions caused you stress and anxiety.  Hosts have no problem avoiding those actions should you contact them prior and request so.
