Perfect beach stay

Very clean with any needs taken care of. Walking distance to the beach. Beach towels provided, hot outdoor shower on your return. Well-stocked kitchen with everything you need for self-catering.

Far exceeded expectations

What a perfect spot, sea view, so tidy, comfortable accomodation and heaps of space for 5. Excellent hosts who go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and accomodate our last minute changes. Having an outdoor shower after a sea dip was icing on the cake.

Wish I could keep this a secret

Gary and Sharron Stevenson did an excellent job opening their home up to our family. Their family house right on the beach couldn’t have been more relaxing. Their home was clean, warm, cozy, spacious, stocked with games, and coffee! I enjoyed meeting these Wainui locals and learning about the area from Gary. Sharron was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Wainui is a special place and I wish I could keep it a secret but writing this review is the best way to express our gratitude for sharing this wonderful place with us. I can’t wait to go back. Mahalo nui!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Wainui. Supreme spot and wonderful relaxed home giving everyone plenty of space. When you are not on the front deck watching the waves you can be around the back looking up at those wonderful hills. Sharron and Gary great hosts and excellent on the communications. An amazing whānau get away

From the very first contact our hosts were so hospitable. The home was amazing and so well equipt. The view of the beach, close walking range, and proximty to town was wonderful. We had the best time and it is a fantastcially, comfortable home.

Great location for our family

Great communication from Sharon prior to our arrival and met on arrival. Excellent view of Wainui beach and very easy access. The house was spotlessly clean, nice linen and beds and well equipped with everything we needed. Thanks Sharon and Barry.

A piece of paradise for families

We were so lucky to find this gem! The property was family friendly, beautifully clean and comforting. The location is incredible right on Wainui Beach and close to so many other gorgeous coastal spots. We loved our stay having some incredible adventures. Thanks for sharing your home with us we truly appreciate your lovely property. The neighbors were incredible and helped out with local knowledge of the area and made the stay even better. We would love to come back again soon.

Beautiful house, very clean, well equipped kitchen, nice location

The hosts are very welcoming, and really want to give you a good time. The house is kept very clean, and you can feel at home here. It is so nice for the kids to go to the beach, and come home again, as much as they like! There was quite a lot of driftwood on the beach, which the kids used to build a hut with. Some people took pictures of it! It is only a short distance to the city, from where we got our supplies for the week, absolutely great! Thanks Gary and Sharron!

The day we won the bach booking game at Wainui Beach

Sharron and Gary's place was the perfect base for a few day's work on the coast, a relaxing sanctuary to come back to with the best view and literally everything we needed. Surf at the doorstep, all the home comforts, super clean, quality linen, comfy beds, WIFI, well appointed kitchen, heat pump, hot outdoor shower... I literally can't recommend their home enough. We even lucked it with a whale just out in front on the day we arrived. They're also really helpful and gracious hosts, thanks for sharing your local knowledge when we checked in before you rolled out in your camper, and making sure everything was taken care of. 100% will be back if I can find an excuse to do some more work in Gizzy this summer and beat the rush for the bookings!
