This was our first trip to Maui and the location of the property was perfect. Walking distance to grocery, restaurants, food trucks, snorkel shop, etc. and of course the beaches. Property has nice pool area and easy access to beach and boardwalk to other properties/restaurants. Was nice to be able to open doorwall and windows to enjoy the ocean breeze. Plenty of items in kitchen in order to put together a meal. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Great location and highly recommended! We absolutely loved the location, and everything during our stay went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again!A wonderful highlight was the guest book filled with helpful local information and tips. The only downside was that a sheet and pillowcase were either dirty or stained, which wasn't ideal. However, the overall experience was fantastic.Book here—you won’t regret it!

The place was perfect for our family of 4. We LOVED the view that we had of the ocean!!It was great having chairs and other things that our kids and us could use at the ocean. Being so close to everything, we barely had to drive the rental. Would recommend to anyone looking for an ocean front view!

The unit was clean and the view spectacular. We enjoyed many hours on the dick, on the beach and on the Mahana property. We think this location is on the best beach in Maui. We saw turtles, a seal and perhaps dolphins from the deck. We utilized the kitchen which had everything we needed. Your information about our key code was received in plenty of time and loved having that. Another reminder was sent closer to our arrival which was also nice.We appreciated very much the notification from your property about the incoming weather warnings which we saw after we got home but again, it was useful information. Unfortunately, we don't check email when we are away, so we didn't know to strip the bed. We did everything else so hope everything for the staff was satisfactory. Thanks for sharing your wonderful condo with us. We had a fabulous time and would stay here again.A few things for us were, the air conditioner, although very much appreciated, was noisy. We did use the washer/dryer unit but there was no notice about needing to turn the water on for it. We did figure it out. We didn't see an instruction book for our stay. Thanks again for a lovely week.

Condo was very clean, we did not use laundry service.the view was amazing! My only complaint would be the t.v. controller! we had it figured out the first couple days, but then we couldn't get it to work. Not a huge deal because we were only in the condo at night!

Maui relaxing

The property was very nice we totally enjoyed our stay, people were very friendly, parking was easy and available. Watching the ocean and checking out the whales from our lanai was relaxing and pleasant. Could have used two beach chairs with condo and more spoons and forks, otherwise everything was perfect.

No Better View

Love Mahana property and the views of the ocean. The pool & hot tub were great. The gas grills were top notch. A couple ceiling fans would be nice in the unit. Some updates are needed in the unit, but it was a great stay and would stay again.

The location and views from this unit cannot be beat! Waking up to ocean views and crashing waves is my idea of vacation. Parking is easy and there's plenty of space. With all the lush tree coverage, easily one of the most beautiful parking lots I've ever seen. Check-in was a bit confusing - front desk told us to use the kiosk; kiosk could not locate our name; called the support number posted next to the kiosk and our call was answered by a very rude rep who said he had no record of our reservation. Called the property management company on our reservation paperwork and was immediately helped by their agent. She was so sweet and so helpful. Clearly just a miscommunication between the property staff and the management company. Everything after that was fine.Unit is comfortable and air-conditioning works great. Kitchen was recently updated. Furniture and decor in the rest of the unit is somewhat dated and "lived in" ... could use a refresh. Cleaning service also needs to be more thorough...shower doors/floor and soap holder had shampoo and soap buildup, hair could be seen on the shower walls, and a wet bathmat was draped over the toilet. If I'm going to pay a significant cleaning fee, I expect that the unit will cleaned before my arrival as well. That was the only downside ...everything else was wonderful! So nice to be able to walk to restaurants and other resorts, beach is steps away, pool area is nice and well-maintained. And that balcony and those views ...AMAZING!

Love the Mahana!

We have stayed at the Mahana before, and the all it has to offer - location, full kitchen, private lanai, along with many other great features. Unfortunately, when we arrived with groceries for the duration of our stay, the refrigerator was not working properly. It took 2 service calls and 3 days to get it working properly. That hindrance along with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic which shortened our stay put a damper on our vacation. Love the property, love the location.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable and clean. Very nice that beach towels were provided. Sofa bed mattress was nice. Only problem was arriving late and not having any sheets for sofa bed. We called owner and he kept insisting they were there. After 10 mins of arguing on phone, i finally convinced him that the sheets were missing. He did bring some sheets but it took a while. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Needs some updating.

1) Many areas of the ceiling has the plaster falling. Some of the areas look like a past water damage. 2) The wash machine only runs on permanent press cycle. It sounds like it is about to break down. 3). Could use an overall update.

Can't get much closer to the ocean!

Can't get much closer to the ocean! Fantastic location. Perfect for traveling around the neighborhood without a car - market, restaurants, beaches. 3rd floor offers an excellent view but still isolated from folks walking by. We just saw a pod of dolphins swim and leap by. Condition of the unit is slightly dated but no issues. The property grounds are excellent - fauna, pool, grills, etc. Communication with the property manager is good and consistent but somewhat confusing since there were 3 distinct ways used over the course of the stay - VRBO, email and an iOS app. This is a minor issue. Overall, we completely enjoyed our stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is in a gorgeous location. It directly faces the ocean. We would watch the whales, sea turtles and dolphins every morning over coffee in the lanai. It was very functional, well appointed and had a beautiful kitchen. It needs some updating however. The bathroom needs a makeover and the carpet that extends throughout has a terrible odour. There were very sharp objects at the tile/carpet unions. Overall it was a good value.

Amazing! I always forget to leave reviews but I could not for this one. First off if you're staying on kaanapali and don't have a large group skip Costco and Walmart, the Times grocery store has you covered for food and the prices are normal. We got to the resort late but there was someone there to help us who was very friendly. The view was so breathtaking, even at night. So much so that us night dwellers made it up early to cook breakfast and eat it with the unobstructed view on the lanai.Every morning, we saw turtles and surf lessons right outside the condo. We were there to celebrate a friends birthday who was staying at the Hyatt (which we visited and is very nice), but they were all so impressed with our condo and location that they spent every night at our condo and around our area. About the area, even if you don't have a car don't worry you have everything you need right there. The grocery store is less than a 5 min walk along with a food truck court, which is stellar. One of my favorite restaurants was Java Jazz (goat cheese bruschetta yum). If you're into night life there's Pizza Paradiso that has great food along with nightly entertainment. A walk along the beach will lead you to Dukes. A short drive will take you to Napali bay, dragons tooth, or down to whalers village...if you want a "fancy" night out check out Ulu on the water definitely the best steak I've EVER had. Side not *smokers, they have 2 places at the resort for you short walk.

We were stunned when first walking in. The pictures didn't do the place justice. We loved that amazing living room view overlooking the beach, with the islands Moloka'i and Lanai serving as backdrop for the pacific waters. We could even watch turtles breaching just offshore. The floor to ceiling windows took full advantage of the location. Then when we wanted to hear the waves the lanai was just a few steps away. Should we head back to Maui, we will be checking this unit's availability.

This condo is a great option in Kāʻanapali. You get all the benefits of being at a resort (e.g. pool, towels, grills) while also getting the convenience of a condo (e.g. full kitchen, washer / dryer).What stands out are the views! From the living area you get a unobstructed view of the Pacific with Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi in the background. Ending the day by sitting on the lanai staring at the stars, listening to the waves was also incredibly peaceful. I'd highly recommend this accommodation if you're planning to spend time on the west side of Maui.
