A Beautiful and memorable stay at Kathy and David’s waterfront Condo
just like being at home, except the view was extremely intoxicating. All the kitchen gadgets any chef could desire in the well designed dining/prep room. The bed was wonderful, yes, we intend to spend some time again next December! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Love. Would come back over and over

Kathy is an amazing host. She's communicative, thoughtful, kind. It feels like we had an island guardian angel! Everything you needed and more

Amazing location on Kaanapali beach and close to Dukes. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need. It has every kitchen appliance, gadget, mixing bowl, salad spinner, spice, and more that it felt like home. There was also beach chairs and boogie boards to use as well. Kathy responded so quickly to my questions and emails and nothing was a surprise to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

Amazing!

We loved this condo; from the floor to ceiling windows and lanai giving a front row seat to sea turtles and ocean waves crashing, the comfortable bed and beautiful kitchen to the quiet resort pool/spa steps from the beach, it has everything and more to make your Maui vacation absolutely perfect. Booking and communication with the owner was excellent and the check-in/check out process was very simple and easy. The condo is also in a great location to experience all that Maui has to offer.

Hawaiian Heaven on Earth

Kathy's condo at Mahana is an excellent option for a Maui getaway! I stayed with my husband in February 2025. We specifically wanted an oceanfront-locale so I could watch the whales and this condo certainly delivered -- we saw non-stop whales and had very comfortable accommodations!Pros of the unit:- oceanfront balcony/lanai- 2 comfy chairs facing the ocean with floor-to-ceiling windows- Very comfortable bed- fully stocked & updated kitchen with everything you need to cook- 2 TVs with all of the channels- pool hot tub ocean is just downstairs- plentiful pool/beach chairs so you don't have to worry about getting up at 6am to claim a spot- free parking- washer & dryer in-unit- beach supplies like a cooler, towels, beach chairs & boogie board available for your usePros of the location:- food store and snorkel rentals are just across the street/walkable from the unit- food trucks with one that has coffee acia bowls for the mornings is also walkable- it's a central location so driving to all of the beaches is super easyWe had an amazing stay and would love to return when we come back to Maui!

Great Location, View

Very nice accommodations with a great view. We managed to see lots of whale activity. Very comfortable. Nice location within a short walk to the grocery store, convenient food trucks, and Dukes restaurant. Had a great stay!

Maui 2024

This was a long overdue visit that we desperately needed! The condo did not disappoint. The location was perfect for secluded beach days or traveling to visit local relatives. We were happy to be within walking distance to our sister's condo, and Duke's of course! Our interactions with the owners were delightful and all of our requests were met without question. The condo is comfortable, clean, and the view is worth a million bucks. We will be back!

vacation in paradise

beautiful place, comfortable and close to the ocean with amazing views. It was close to everything including all amenities. I saw turtles in in the ocean and sunsets everyday from the lanai. Having AC was a plus as it does get warm.

Amazing

We have stayed at the Mahana with our kids for several years and love this property. The view from the condo is amazing! This condo was well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking and also on the beach. Highly recommend the Mahana and we hope to be back soon!

Six days without the washer/dryer

The setting and location are spectacular. Ongoing maintenance on the unit is not so good. Bulb in kitchen light burnt out. No replacement could be found in any of the storage. Screen door torn at bottom. Screen doors very dirty. Baseboard broaken in kitchen. Louver vent in shower was very dirty. Washer and dryer were broaken for the first six days we were there. Washer tub left full of stinky water for six days. Repair man was in the unit when we attempted to move in. Washer/dryer parts were scattered everywhere. Besides all that, we had a great vacation. FYI We should have received a discount for the six days of inconvenience and dealing with the repair man.

We both grew up by the sea, David in Ireland, Kathy in San Francisco and we always knew that however far away we moved from it, we would always come back. After we met in college, we traveled much of the world together. We saw Tahiti, Fiji, the Indian Ocean, the Great Barrier Reef, the South China Seas, but it was Maui and the stretch of beach in front of the Mahana that captured our hearts. We bought our first condo at the Mahana in 1977. Over the years, we returned to Maui and the Mahana for a month every summer. For our children, it was a second home. Now young adults, they still love coming back every chance they can. Once you have been to the Mahana, you’ll want to come back too!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We fell in love with the Mahana in 1977. We were walking along the North Kaanapali Beach. The sun was setting between the islands of Lanai and Molokai. It was the most amazing sight! We turned around and saw the Mahana. It was so close to the water and all of the condos faced the ocean front on with floor-to-ceiling ocean views. We knew right then and there that we had to buy one of these beachfront homes. For us it was the view and the view and the view! We bought our first Mahana condo (#818) then. We bought this condo (#708) in 2001 and our third one (#819) in 2004. Today, after all of these years, we still love coming back as often as we can!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

For us it’s a home away from home. In winter we love watching the whales, in summer it’s the dolphins and turtles. I love getting up to see the dawn coming up over the ocean. My husband is mesmerized by the stars. We all enjoy walking or jogging on the beach, swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear blue water below, exploring all the other nearby beaches, Kapalua Bay, Napili Bay, Fleming Beach, Honolua Bay. We also love going to the Farmers market for fresh papaya and mangos and finding local fish to grill back at the Mahana. It’s the majesty of the ocean and the mountains. It’s the trade winds and the friendly people. It’s something else -totally special - that is just impossible to describe. You have to come to Maui and the Mahana and you will experience it yourself!
