Both bedrooms also open onto private courtyard - perfect for quiet times. Fitted stair gate and a selection of buckets and spades make the property ideal for little people.

Ferragudo Village: This quaint fishing village, with all its restaurants, bars and cafes, is located in the middle of the Algarve. You can meander along the quayside, stopping in a restaurant of your choice to sample their delicacies or through the picturesque cobbled streets. The main square, where you can share in the atmosphere with the locals, provides an alternative place to relax. During the summer months there is often musical entertainment here.

You will find all local amenities in the village e.g. banks, post office, daily fish, fruit and veg market, 2 butchers and a bakers. Free WiFi is available in the apartment and at cafe bars in the village square and at the pool snack bar. Within walking distance of Vila Castelo, there are also safe, sandy beaches with restaurants and bars with coastal views. For the more adventurous, there are clifftop walks where you can enjoy magnificent views and the flora and fauna of the Algarve.

Nearby places to visit + activities for all : Portimão, the larger neighbouring town, offers a variety of fashionable shops, nightlife and entertainment. You can also book day trips from here such as dolphin safaris, beautiful sea caves, fishing and a river trip to Silves. Silves is a historical mountain Moorish town, provides a lovely day out - a contrast to the coastal towns. Breathe in fresh mountain air on the way and sample the great fresh food of the region.

Getting to Ferragudo: Transfer from airport to Ferragudo approximately 45 mins (directions and car hire contact details provided on booking). However, a car is not essential for your stay in Ferragudo. You can take a taxi to and from the airport.
