Perfect house for our family of 8 adults and 1 toddler! Well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the grill and the beautiful views of Southwest Harbor. Great location for exploring Acadia National Park!

This home was super cute and fresh. The layout is unique with a wonderful view over the water. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Easy to walk downtown or 20 minute drive to bar harbor.

My family and I had a great stay. Good location to walk to shops and restaurants, short drive to Acadia and Rest of Mt. Desert island. Perfect sunrises looking out over Southwest Harbor. Host Shelley was easy to reach and informative. Would stay here again.

Southwest Harbor

We had a wonderful week staying in this house in Southwest Harbor. The house was in walking distance to the town and very comfortable for the 9 of us.

Loved staying on the Quiet Side. House was a perfect location with just a 10 minute walk to main street shops/restaurants. It was very comfortable and just right for us. I usually bring my own stuff to rental homes but found this one was very well stocked (plenty of trash bags, TP, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, towels, dishwasher tabs, etc). Would love to come back!

Beautiful, cozy house, met all of our needs, well, equipped, wonderful location. Easy access to Acadia, National Park and Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay there again. Shelley is a wonderful host, quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Beautiful Home, very cozy, very comfortable, beautifully decorated. Wonderfully quiet and WIFI worked great for our business emails, ZOOMS, etc. Thank you for a great stay in your beautiful home!

Shelley’s house is a perfect place to relax and get away. It’s spacious and has a great view. The warmth of the decor and the big windows add to the beauty. The location is fabulous. It’s in a smaller town without lots of tourists, but allows for easy access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The people in the town are super friendly. We played pickleball at the local community center and really enjoyed meeting others there. I would highly recommend this vacation home and destination!

Family Reunion

We had 7 adults,plus a 1&3 yr old. The property is in a central location,which was great. The kitchen area is a little tight,but all other rooms are spacious with plenty of storage options. We had no issues during our 1week stay, and we would recommend this property.

Relaxing stay

This is a wonderful property and the host was so helpful and responsive. We were able to relax and have an amazing time with my daughter and my son/2 grandchildren. The amenities were perfect. This was our second time at this house and would love to stay again. Perfect location to do anything on the island. All our favorite quiet side sites are close by.

Lovely stay

Shelley’s place is wonderful - a quick walk into town, drivable distance to nearby hikes and Acadia. She & her husband went above and beyond as host, including finding ways for my dad to get the sports channels :) Ample room for 5 adults and a beautiful view of the harbor. Thank you!!

comfortable home away from home

This was our 2nd time staying at Harbor View and it was perfect! The house is roomy and comfortable. There is room for everyone to spread out and relax. Shelly is a wonderful host who takes care of every detail. We are returning in July 2024. A perfect place for a vacation

Ideal Home Base

We were in town for a busy family reunion so didn’t spend much time at the house, but it had everything we needed for a restful sleep, a well-stocked kitchen where we could cook, and two full baths with plenty of soft, thick towels. It had a great view of the harbor. Breakfast on the deck was a treat. The furniture was really comfy and the location was convenient to the center of town.

Relaxation and Convenience

We had an amazing week! The house is so warm and inviting. The moment we arrived we were relaxed. The view from the deck is spectacular. The hosts are responsive and so helpful. We were able to walk into Southwest Harbor for ice cream and dinner. We can't wait to return!

My family had a great time in the Bar Harbor area and this house was perfect and located in a great central location for us to get to and from all places we visited. Acadia National Park was only about 20mins away. Shelley was very responsive and the house is great for a family (we had 3 adults, kids -2yrs & 4yrs, and 1 small dog). The property was so beautiful and the house clean and just as pictured. A family of deer greeted us every day with was quite fun for my kids to watch out for! Shelley was gracious to accommodate your request for a later check out and the whole process of check in/out was a breeze. I would recommend this home for anyone who wants to enjoy a warm and welcoming home to stay when visiting Bar Harbor area.
