This was truly a wonderful stay, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and decorated with so much care and attention to detail. You could tell that a lot of thought went into making the space feel welcoming, comfortable, and like a home away from home.Our host was incredibly kind and friendly. She was always quick to respond whenever I had a question, which made everything feel so easy and stress-free. Check-in was simple, and from the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect.We truly enjoyed our stay and are so grateful for the wonderful hospitality. This is definitely a place I would love to stay again, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, clean, comfortable, and welcoming home.

My wife and I stayed at this property for a weekend getaway. The property and our stay was absolutely fantastic! The house is very well decorated, extremely welcoming, and amazingly comfortable. The property comes with everything one would need, whether dining in or out. The seating area and scenery overlooking the river is beautiful and relaxing. To top everything off, the property host, Linda, was amazing. She provided every piece of information we needed before we asked. Throughout the stay, she checked in to make sure everything was ok. She is such a sweet person. We highly recommend this property and we look forward to returning again in the not-too-distant future.

The cottage was perfect for our friends weekend. The host, Linda, was friendly and very helpful with my questions. The drive to the cottage on the country road was lovely. Lots of trees. Very inviting from the moment you opened the door. 2 of us slept on the screened in front porch twin beds and the others of us slept in the 2 bedrooms. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The outside chairs and fire pit next to the river was so peaceful. The screened in back porch was perfect to spend some time and have tea and visit. Comfortable couch and chairs in the living room. Nice round dining room table with comfortable chairs was great for our game night with all of us gathered around the table. Peaceful and quiet small neighborhood. We are already talking about coming back in the spring! Definitely would recommend.

This cottage was so adorable! It’s decorated so cute! It’s so cozy too! The host has thought of everything. The kitchen is fully stocked, towels are soft, beds are comfortable, a cute screened in porch area, books, games, and fire pit area by the water. Super clean too!!! You can access the river from the property. My 3 kids loved fishing and swimming all day. They caught 14 fish, they were excited!! I’d highly recommend staying here! We had a great time as a family!

I am 84 and my granddaughter is 30. The property was perfect for us. We enjoyed fossil hunting on the river and just enjoying the home. Surprisingly too cold to enjoy a fire, but if it had been hot, we couldn't have spent as much time outside. Enjoyed Waco National Monument. Went to Tonkawa Falls. Waco /Baylor Fossil Museum. Jace's Grocery. My granddaughter loved the porch bedroom. She spent a lot of time there.

This was a lovely little cottage very close to the river and you can walk down to the river from the cottage. The host, Linda, was very kind and gracious and had lots of “extras” like popcorn and granola bars and water for guests and she has a wonderful flair for decorating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The Retreat was perfect for our family! Quiet and cozy. We very much appreciated all the details put into the comfort and cuteness of the house. It was hard to get out of the lush beds. Great for Waco Visitors

If you like peacefulness with a small town feel, take advantage of this gem next time you visit Waco. Easy access to Waco without the hustle and bustle of the city. Host was very communicative, and place was very clean.
