Perfect for our needs

Long term stay in 2 bedroom villa with friends coming intermittently during our stay. We know Sanur very well and the location of the Villa is perfect for us and everything we needed was within an easy bicycle ride. Excellent contact with the local villa manager and owner when required.

We loved our stay in this 2 bedroom villa. The al fresco living area was lovely with a variety of seating/lounging options. Bedroom was spacious, bed quite comfortable and the bathroom had a great outdoor shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful . The villa was a convenient and short 10 min walk to the main shopping street of Sanur and the beachside area. We hired bicycles so this made it even quicker. The host was always prompt in replying to any queries . Altogether a great, good value for money stay

Sanur villa

Clean comfortable place to stay. Close to the main street for shopping or eating. Walkable to Icon plaza if you like the modern shopping experience. And not that far from the beach. Excellent staff. Little bit difficult to find but that just adds to the experience.

This place was great. Good location with walking to beach and restaurants. Open pool to lay around. Well maintained and comfortable.

Check in very accommodating. House keeping excellent Response to request to replace gas was a little delayed. Response to clean the pool was immediate. Bedrooms and linen beautiful Bathroom shower and toilet goodKitchen in desperate need of renovation - impression not clean No Pyrex bowls to use in the microwaveNo rice cookerChopping boards stained from pre-longed use and needed to be replacedFloor surfaces in the whole house in desperate need of a pressure clean. Impression really grubby and ingrained stains. Recently painted stone exterior walls were peeling and huge pieces falling in the pool. Pool had debris sunk to the bottom and big pieces of peeling paint floating on the pool surface on arrival - impression cleaning overlooked. Location was good - close enough to walk to the beach and main shops bars and places to eat. Dog poo and bags of rubbish along the access path to the villa. Safety and security was good. I would chose a different villa next time.

Hi Carol, Thanks for your feedback.I just wanted to clear up your issue with the floors.The floors through out the villa are marble tiles.The tiles are definitely not dirty as they have been acid washed and pressure cleaned within the last 6 months.The tiles pattern and colour may give you the impression of being dirty but this is certainly not the case.The villa is cleaned daily and the pool serviced 3-4 times per week so I’m very surprised the pool also was not clean in your opinion. Tired, worn, needs maintenance and not what we expected for the money.

We arrived at the property after a rain, down a muddy lane with puddles of water that couldn't be avoided to find a property that was disappointing. The photos in the listing are dated & do not accurately represent the condition or the furnishings there. We found a rusty refrigerator and worn furniture including a shelving unit with the plastic laminate peeling up on the shelves. Bedsheets were old and stained. Bathroom floor mats were old and stained with patched holes. There was tape residue on the bedroom wall and the seat cushions were stained. Toilet seats were old and stained, fixtures were not clean and one sink tap was loose. Without going on, we decided that we just couldn't stay there for the week we booked and decided we would check out the next morning and find another place. The owner debated our observations and would not refund the remaining days but did agree to refund 33%. Although it cost us a lot to leave, we just couldn't stay. After having visited Bali many times and in many different lodgings over the past 30 years, we have never checked out early because of the condition, especially considering what were paying here. Not in Bali, not anywhere. I offered to send the owner photos of the issues several times; however, he apparently wasn't interested and never provided us an email to which we could send them. I would take that as not much concern or interest in correcting anything that we noted. We did receive the refund and that's the last we heard.

Burton knows the real reason they did not stay and it had nothing to do with the villa.Burton and his wife were fighting before they even entered the villa and were clearly in disagreement over staying in a villa.We received a 5 star review before they checked in and a 5 star review immediately after.Burton did get one thing right-the photos are a few years old but we have actually updated parts of the villa since then.Not a pleasant experience.
