Quarterdeck

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great position, beds were comfy, kitchen was well stoked and the view was amazing. However the fire alarms, went off for two hours every 8 minutes. The only thing we could do to make them stop is to vacuumed the dust from around the sensors at 2.30am.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Quarterdeck is a three storey holiday rental situated in a quiet street close to the beach, general store, coffee shops and the fabulous hotel. The revamped hotel along with terrific views provides a variety of excellent meals and entertainment. Quarterdeck was clean with loads of room for personal luggage/equipment for family life. For home preparation and cooking of meals the Quarterdeck kitchen facilities provide everything required from barbecue to any utensils. The outside verandahs are perfect for viewing the fabulous ocean with humpback whales returning to Antarctica at all times of the day. Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday venue.

Beautiful spot with a quick and comfortable house.

It was a great location to stay and a comfortable arrangement with everything you could need. AC or bug screens would make it a bit more livable for the hotter months.

A relaxing holiday

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a great location, short walking distance to beaches and Bob's shop. Point Lookout is also walkable. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Having a bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a separate shower room downstairs is great. Great balconies on two levels. It may not suit a family with small children or those with mobility issues as there are open staircases with three floors to navigate. The house does need a deep clean and some maintenance which I will share with Ray White.

Good Location

House was good. No curtains upstairs, which meant it was cold on a cold day. Heater did not work, so we had to wrap in blankets. All else was good. Beds were comfortable and a good kitchen.

A lovely beach getaway

We enjoyed beautiful weather during our week 6-13 May at Quarterdeck townhouse. Value for money with plenty of room for the whole family and so handy to Cylinder Beach and Deadman’s Beach. The whole townhouse was well appointed and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for a holiday. There was a leak of water in the ground floor bathroom. Ray Ehite at North Stradbroke responded straightaway and the leak was fixed promptly. It was the best holiday house we have ever rented at Straddie.

A relaxing beach holiday

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A week in this lovely location was delightful. The house was in a perfect location, with the headland beaches a short walk away. The kitchen was adequately provisioned, but could do with some updated cookware. The bathrooms were dated, and the upstairs toilet leaked. A vacuum would have been appreciated, too. All in all, i thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

One week at Quarterdeck

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was really amazing, very close to Deadman's beach and the property was quite spacious with good sized bedrooms. I appreciated that the bedrooms had fans and that the kitchen was well equiped. The property was superficially clean, but could really do with a good deep thorough clean and the throw cushions and grey couch in the living space were not used as some were mouldy and seemed a bit grotty. That being said, we would stay again.

Quarterdeck

I have stayed in this property several times. It has been updated a little. I reported to the manager that the double bed moves across the room and could be quite dangerous. There are cockroaches. A lot of light bulbs have not been replaced. Second bedroom lamps not working. Curtains not adequate to cover window in second bedroom. I hope these things will be attended to as the property is quite expensive and should be better maintained.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Quarterdeck, and are hoping to return. The townhouse was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, and in easy walking distance of Deadman's and Cylinder Beaches, and the local Foodworks (Bob's Shop). The views were lovely - we could watch the whales breaching, and hear the ocean crashing on the headland in the evening (soothing, not intrusive!). A couple of maintenance matters were very promptly attended to by Ray White. We would happily recommend this property to others.
