The room was exactly as shown and very clean. The property is walkable distance to the harbor and several restaurants. The town is very small and the only grocery was a quick mart-so you will need to take whatever you need because there is no where to get real groceries. There is nothing in the apartment regarding condiments, coffee, or anything like that but clean and neat.

This was a great home base for us. The town is so picturesque and the people are very friendly. The prices here are a fraction of what you’d pay in Bar Harbor and it’s an easy drive to the park - about an hour - from here. They have great lobster rolls and other dishes, too!

Very confortable and spacious. I didn't use the complete kitchen but it seemed generous. The bed was extremely comfortable. It did take almost 2 sets of stairs to reach the room if that's an issue for you - it was a bit for me as I had had recent knee surgery, but otherwise everything was ideal.

We enjoyed staying here very much. The full kitchen was very helpful as places to eat on the Island is very limited.Extremely clean and comfortable. Our only suggestion would be to put the AC unit in the middle window over the table. Upstairs gets warm so AC is necessary especially while sleeping. In the AC's current location it blows right on you while sleeping.

The owner let humself into the lease property at 6:30 in the morning not realizing that we had leased the property. Really terrible experience.

I own this one. My mistake. There was a problem with my calendar. I apologized to the guest and issued a full refund so he stayed for free. I certainly understand his anger. Got the calendar problem straightened out.

You need to be more descriptive of the location. The house across the street is easily confused with you. You need to specify that you are in the house with the kayak rental, "The Merchant House", not the Ocean View House. I kept trying to get into the Ocean View House until I fugured it out.While there is a red striped tape on the low hanging cieling above the staircase, I think there should be more. I slammed my head on that cieling. You need to hang a sign right there about the low cieling. I won't be the only one, and someome will get a concussion. The red striped tape is too subtle. You need a more obvious warning about the low hanging cieling. I smashed my head and had a headache for an hour.Every other VRBO I have ever stayed in, all over the USA, has provided shampoo in the shower. You do not.I liked my stay. But I think if you improve these things, it will help you. OKTY

I will add a sign about the low ceiling in the stairwell. That is a good suggestion. As far as the location, there is a number nine already mounted on the overhang above the double yellow doors. I encourage all guests who have not stayed with us before to read all the check-in instructions provided by VRBO before you arrive. They are clearly written and include photographs of the building from the outside. If they read the instructions carefully, most people should have no trouble finding the location and accessing the apartment.

Great stay! The pictures don't do it justice. The property is a bright space in a perfect location. Great restaurants and scenic views are right outside the door. And considering all of that, the price is just right.Book it and have fun!

Great little place

It was exactly as described and just what we were looking for. Small cute place right next to downtown. It was nice having a kitchen as well for plating and reheating leftovers etc. I’d definitely stay here again on a visit to Stonington.

Cute apartment with a great location

Very nice little apartment with a full kitchen and washer/dryer available. Easy parking and a block from all the town has to offer. Would definitely stay here again.
