The kitchen was large and well equipped, except the coffee maker did not work. Separate dinning table area off the kitchen with large table, which worked well for our group.Comfortable sofas facing tv and fireplace. A soundbar would help on the tv. Owner communicated well with us.House was very clean and neat with comfortable beds.
We had 8 ladies that stayed at this property. It is an absolutely wonderful home and very well stocked with all the kitchen essentials. Scott was very responsive to my emails and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend this property.

Our family of 7 had a wonderful time at Scottâs Place, We were there for our sonâs graduation from App State and this property was an easy trip into Boone, and also into Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Property size was perfect to spread out and we really enjoyed the large porch & listening to the frogs in the pond at night, it was very peaceful! Would definitely stay here again! Scott was a wonderful host and easy to communicate with.

Our extended family wanted to go to the mtns after Thanksgiving, since we all live in different cities. The property was perfect for our needs. The location could not have been better and the layout ideal.. so incredibly clean, and the beds were comfy! . Scott, the owner was there when we arrived, and is just the perfect host. Definitely would recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain trip.
We loved Scott's place! Scott does a fantastic job communicating and is a real nice guy. The house is in a lovely setting with a clear steam and pond. We enjoyed making a fire in the firepit beside the pond. The beds were super comfortable and we liked having 3 king beds for 3 couples plus the other room for children. The location was great for going to Blowing Rock and the Parkway. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed our stay!
Great location. 10-15 mins to blowing rock. 10-15 mins to grandfather. Minutes to Cone park and Julian Price lake area. Pond and creek. Kids loved the natural surroundings. Home is clean and spacious. Host is great. Thanks
Beautiful place! Plenty of room for kids to play outside! Loved fishing in the pond and playing in the stream in back! Close to town and linville falls for hiking! Scott the owner was very kind and helpful with things to do in the area! We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay at the property! There was plenty of room for our family. The beds were very comfortable and the dining spaces were huge! We had fun watching the tadpoles in the pond and listening to the bullfrogs from the porch at night. It was a very convenient location, close to Blowing Rock and Boone. Scott, the host, was readily available when I had questions. It was the perfect space for our big family to make some wonderful memories!
This house was perfect, and even prettier in person. My parents in their 60's complimented the details and comfortable bedding, My spouse and I loved how spread out the space was, My teenager loved the downstairs retreat, my 10 year old loved ping pong and eating outside on the large covered porch, and our dog loved the pond and creek on the property. This house was the perfect cozy mountain get away, complete with a warm fireplace and light dusting of snow during our stay. Scott was a very communicable host, and we hope to stay again sometime!
Iâve always loved the mountains and I grew up hiking the Appalachian Trail on weekends. When I was younger Iâd hike or ride my bike up the Blue Ridge Parkway across Grandfather Mountain to watch the Linn Cove Viaduct construction. One of the most beautiful places in the Mountains is Price Lake. When I was growing up, walking down Holloway Mountain Road was so different. There was a large Trading Post sitting where you now enter Boone Fort Camp and across the road was An old apple orchard. No matter where we searched for our home in the mountains, Holloway Mountain Rd was always where we wanted to be, easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway for biking, a couple minutes Over to Julian Price Park on summer nights to the Amphitheater to listen to local Blue Grass musicians. Main Street in Blowing Rock is about 10 miles away and so is Boone.
Our home offers a large open great room with a big modern kitchen with dining space for your entire family. We constantly search for the best And most comfortable linens and towels to help You sleep in luxury and wake up mountain fresh! There is a cool stream in the back that fills a large Pond. The one acre site is flat and easy to access with lots of room to park.
