The Butterfly is a wonderful location, clean, cool and the hosts and very responsive and friendly. This was our second time to stay at the Butterfly and we will stay here again in the future.

Absolutely adorable cottage in Mt. Gretna. Super short walk to the Jigger Shop and the Coffee Cottage. Our Cottage was well appointed and perfect for our little trip. It also stays relatively cool during the day. Even though it was very hot outside this week, I didn’t really need air conditioning. Loved it.

We loved this cozy cottage in the beautiful wooded setting in Mt Gretna! It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the water was hot! We loved the big porch and the patio. Jason was easy to communicate with and checked on us by phone to make sure we didn’t need anything. We enjoyed a very peaceful weekend in the Butterfly Cottage! Jo & Dennis

The cabin was as described EXCEPT the upstairs hallway ended abruptly in a hole in the floor leading downstairs. With a toddler and elderly person in our part, it was dangerous. We had to block off the stairway with a chair. Worse was the dust and mold that pervaded the cabin. My son with allergies was up all night coughing. Driveway was steep and narrow. First time I’ve ever given a vrbo property a poor review

We have been renting for many, many years and have never heard such rediculous comments. That “hole” in the floor is called a heat vent. Not even a matchbox car could fall through that especially being there is a cover on it! Secondly the cottage is inspected every year to conform with safety standards. Also if you or someone has alergies maybe Mt Grenta isnt the place you want to stay being that it is in the middle of the woods. Very insulting to say there is dust and mold because the cottage is cleaned up and down after every stay and we never had one complaint about cleanliness. The driveway was built like that over 100 years ago and that is how they are all constructed and cannot be changed... not to mention there is a whole street to park in front of the cottage If the driveway didnt suit. I think you should do more reaearch next time about where you are staying before you book a getaway. Please cosider the Red Roof Inn next ime you are in the area. It may be a better fit. I think you were worried you would get a negative review from us first… being that the cottage was left in the worst shape after a stay than we have seen in a long time. It took the cleaning crew twice as long to clean than a gueat who stayed three times longer. Thank you safe travels

Butterfly House Review

We had a lovely time in Mt. Gretna. The cottage was charming, old and creaky as described in the listing, and very, very clean. Everything was provided making our stay very relaxing. We would definitely rent again.

Amazing location in a beautiful wooded-community, a real retreat. The outdoor spaces (wraparound porch, back patio) were particularly nice. As noted in the listing, the walls were a bit thin, but this didn't bother us. Kid friendly -- they loved the "secret passageway" (shared closet) between bedrooms.
