Hi Jo, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're genuinely glad to hear you enjoyed the location—it's hard to beat the convenience and views around here! The couch. Yes, we’re aware of the unfortunate rip—it was a sudden tear (not a design choice, we promise). The owner provided covers as a temporary fix while we source a new couch that actually complements the space and stays in one piece. We do apologise for the inconvenience. And you're right—the photos may seem a bit deceiving, but only because the unit has had a fresh coat of paint and new flooring since they were taken. It’s looking much fresher now! That said, uploading a photo of a ripped couch while we wait for the new one just felt... counterproductive. Thank you for pointing out the rusty shower grates—they’ve since been removed. The toilet has also been attended to, and we appreciate you flagging that. If we’d known during your stay, we could’ve had someone out to fix it straight away. As for the fry pans: we were surprised too! They were high-quality pans purchased just earlier this year, but after inspecting them post-stay, we agree they’ve seen better days. Replacements are already on the way. We appreciate your feedback and the detail you’ve provided—it helps us improve. We’d love to welcome you back once these updates are complete.

Unfortunately, due to a leak from the unit above the bathroom ceiling in the unit was damaged just prior to your stay. The owner felt terrible about this and offered a substantial refund for the inconvenience. We do apologise if there was no dishcloth left in the apartment. The cleaner would normally leave a fresh dishcloth after every clean. In regards to bringing your own linen it is clearly stated on the ad that you can hire linen or bring your own which includes sheets, towels and a tea towel. Pillows, blankets and doonas are all supplied. This unit is fully self-contained and has everything you should need whilst on holidays. The view when you walk into the apartment is exceptional as the front of the unit is all windows which you can clearly see through. Unfortunately, due to building requirements the windows must have restrictors on them so they cannot be opened any further than allowed. The fees that you listed are part of the fees that VRBO charge for you to book on their platform. The only fee that we charge is the cleaning fee. When you put your dates in you can select ‘view details’ under the price that is quoted and it will give you a full breakdown of any charges. All of these charges are stipulated before making your booking. The cleaning instructions are - Empty dishwasher - Put out rubbish - Empty fridge - Put away washing up That is not asking anyone to clean the entire apartment. Check out time is 10am which generally means that you vacate the apartment on of before this time.
