Maison sur le lac. Grande maison avec plafond cathédrale,

Cette maison a été récemment rénovée et dispose de cinq chambres et six lits. Trois grandes salles de bains pour accueillir tout le monde. Il est situé sur une montagne surplombant le plus grand lac d’eau douce de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Il y a 105 acres de forêt de feuillus pour la plupart, alors si vous aimez l’extérieur et l’escalade, c’est l’endroit pour vous. Notre maison a une grande terrasse avec un barbecue afin que vous puissiez profiter de la vue. Si vous aimez observer les aigles, vous les verrez se faire mal au-dessus de vous tout en attrapant des poissons dans le lac en dessous.

very nice property

The house is very clean. View is spectacular. Wifi didn't work for the first several days, but Mary kindly offered us an unlimited SIM card for hot spot sharing. She is truly the best host! We really enjoyed our stay!

It was such a hot summer that we never had heat on in the basement, unfortunately, your group were there when we had the wettest week of the summer, heat is now on and the dampness is gone.

Great stay!

Only reason I gave 4 stars overall rating instead of 5 is because I found the mattress and pillows to be very hard - but that is personal thing. Location was great for us, but not if you want to spend most of your time in the National Park. Inverness is only 20 minute drive and has a really nice beach! Driveway is very steep and was a bit intimidating at first.

Sorry to hear you found the mattress and pillow hard, we have two extra pillows of different size and softness in each bedroom along with extra blankets and comforters. All our beds are like the three bears house, soft, medium and firm. The road is a bit steep, but in order to get that beautiful view of the lake and mountains, it had to be built on the hill. I hope you had a wonderful trip on our beautiful Island.

Great stay

The place was very clean and very well maintained, all the amenities were almost new and everything worked like it was supposed to. It had plenty of supplies for all of the appliances & all of the guests.The place was a little further away from all attractions around the area that we visited during our stay. Had no problem communicating with property manager in a timely manner for any of our inquirerys. Overall very happy with our vacation.

Perfect view

The view of Lake Ainslie, the largest fresh water lake in NS, was mesmerizing. Great location to visit the Cabot Trail and Bras d’or Lakes. The best seafood chowder is found in Whycocomagh at Charlene’s. Lunch at the Dancing Goat a must. The home has all the amenities. Communication was excellent. Mary checked in to see how we were doing mid week. Kudos.

Comfortable and clean

Two sets of family stayed at this property and it was more than enough room. The house was very clean and tidy and a comfortable space. Kitchen was stocked with the essentials and all bathrooms had plenty of soap, paper towel and toilet paper. The host was super friendly and helpful. They were very quick to respond to inquiries and helpful recommendations. Overall, the property met our needs and we really enjoyed our stay. Over

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our family of 9 people had a wonderful stay. The location was more than large enough, and was very comfortable when we were all there with lots of space. Sleeping options were more than acceptable and comfortable, although it was warm at night for some. The place was very clean and it is clear the owner take care of the property. The bbq worked well. Location was good for visiting many areas of Cape Breton, especially Inverness Beach. It can be a bit of a drive to some places, but that would likely be the same wherever we stayed. Mary was quick to respond to any questions, but we had no issues during our stay. We definitely would recommend to others. Thainks Mary.

Beautiful View… Nice House

Overall, the place was lovely. It was spacious, clean, and tucked away from it all. The heat pump air conditioning didn’t work the best to cool the house, but the temperature at the time were extremely hot! Originally the listing said it had a hot tub…. It did not 🙁. It also stated there was a waterfall on the property….. if it did, there was no path or signs showing the way. The ad is now updated and excludes these two things. Which is great for the next guests that rent.

We have had an extremely hot summer so far, we have added an air conditioner in one of the windows along with the heat pump air conditioner, it has cooled the house down a lot. As I mentioned to you when you called, I have no idea how a hot tub was advertised on the site, and I apologize for that, I have since removed that when you notified me, I have not and never had a water falls on the site, I’m afraid you must of been thinking of another property. I hope you enjoyed your stay on our beautiful Island.

West Lake Ainslie Stay

This property was clean, well stocked with basic necessities, and large enough to fit a party of 8 adults comfortably. We were lucky enough to see a couple of beautiful sunsets over the lake! We traveled to the area to do some motorcycle riding, specifically The Cabot Trail. We trailered 6 bikes in 3 trailers/trucks with 8 riders. This property was a great location to many of the local riding trails . One statement of caution for anyone considering this property for motorcycle riding in Cape Breton. The driveway is gravel packed and fairly steep and It may be difficult for some riders to negotiate. Once arriving at the property, some in our party did not feel comfortable riding/trailering up/down the driveway. Two trailers did drive up the driveway and found the space very tight to turn around in. Mary, the owner, was responsive and was able to quickly negotiate parking for the trailers and bikes for those who were not comfortable using the driveway. We were offered parking approximately ¼ of a mile down the road from the house for the trailers and bikes. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and this property met most of our needs.

Very clean and large home

We had a great stay. 5 bedrooms and 3 baths worked great for us. Sunset was beautiful as described. Great place for a group of people to us as a golf vacation rental. We would rent it again. .

Great Stay

The house was very clean and very spacious and comfortable for our group. The house overlooks the lake and the view is beautiful. Our first night the sunset was gorgeous. Google maps over shot the driveway so we had to turn around to get back to it and look specifically for the marker Mary mentioned to us, which was a bit hard to see in the dark, that was our only hiccup. Mary was very fast to reply to me every time and was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

One of the best AB@Bs I’ve ever stayed at!

Beautiful location, breathtaking views of the lake, private, spectacular house, well organized and stocked with pretty well everything needed. Fire pit was a wonderful evening escape with a sky full of stars! Within easy drive to beaches and amenities. Made our family happy!!!
