Chalet romantique sur le lac Como

Le chalet a été construit il y a quelques années à partir de la pierre des ruines anciennes et offre de superbes vues sur le lac de Côme.

Le jardin au rez-de-chaussée est idéal pour le repos et la détente. Deux chaises longues et deux fauteuils d’extérieur sont à votre disposition.

Le premier étage, avec un sol en carrelage de pierre et des poutres apparentes, comprend un salon avec une banquette rembourrée et une cuisine entièrement équipée avec une plaque de cuisson en acier inoxydable à quatre feux et un four. À l’extérieur, un grand balcon avec une petite table permet de prendre les repas en plein air.

Le deuxième étage dispose de planchers en bois, d’un plafond très haut et incliné avec des poutres apparentes et d’une grande porte-fenêtre vitrée donnant sur un charmant petit balcon.

Il y a une chambre avec un lit queen-size et une salle de bains avec bidet et douche.

Les aéroports de Milan sont tous deux à environ 40 minutes. Le chalet est très proche de Laglio (où se trouve la villa de George Clooney) et de Cernobbio, connus pour leurs restaurants. Des excursions en bateau permettent de découvrir les villas de renommée mondiale et leurs jardins botaniques.

Des excursions à Côme et à Milan, avec leur art et leur culture, leurs restaurants et leurs boutiques (créateurs, foulards et cravates en soie), sont incontournables.

This is a beautiful home with everything you need and more along with the most incredible views. Brienno is such a welcoming place and we will definitely be returning. The hosts were the best we've ever had for communicating information before and during our stay. Would recommend 100% There is nothing to fault with this property as even the steep stairs help you to work off the gelato and vino!!

I'm not sure what I can say about this property other than don't think about it, BOOK IT! Dont let the stairs scare you as the charming cottage at the top will make you forget all about them. Once you reach the top you won't want to leave. The kitchen has everything you need to make the special meal or just enjoy the views. The bedroom amd bathroom are upstairs where you are able to get lost in your thouhhts with the spectacular views of the lake, the chatter on the street below or ringing of the church bells right across the street. Next time we're in the area, we'd very much enjoy staying at Chalet Lilia and thank you again to our wonderful hosts who shared their space with us for our short stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lilia’s villa in Brienno. It was very clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for my husband and me. The best part was definitely the balcony and the breathtaking view of Lake Como. We loved sitting out there in the morning with our coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine.Lilia was wonderful to communicate with and very helpful. We also had fun learning to make coffee the Italian way with the moka pots she provided, along with coffee and sugar.One thing to know is that parking can be a little challenging. Both days we had to park about half a mile away and then climb the 88 steps up to the villa, so you do need to be in fairly good shape. But honestly, the peaceful little town of Brienno and the incredible views from the villa made the parking inconvenience well worth it.We loved our time here and would definitely recommend it for a couple wanting a quiet and beautiful place to stay on Lake Como.

Very cute cottage with a beautiful view. A lot of walking up steep steps , but we knew about it. The town is tiny So you need a rental car. We went to other bigger towns for meals.

We absolutely LOVED this cottage on the lake. The view is incredible and the location can't be beat. You definitely need a car to get around - but there's many good restaurants, bars, hikes etc within close driving distance. Great relaxing getaway, we will be back!

What a beautiful property for out romantic getaway. Absolutely loved sitting in the yard reading my book while listening to the church bells. Our host was wonderful in communicating restaurant ideas and other needs. Be mindful of the 88 stairs to the property however we loved getting the exercise after a big Italian meal!

Amazing Holiday

Absolutely blown away by the view- such an incredible villa. The hosts are wonderful- excellent communication, perfect instructions and an easy process from start to finish. Would go back in a heartbeat- highly recommend!As mentioned in the listing, there are significant stairs up to the villa- worth it, but be mindful if that will be an issue for you.

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint cottage with the smell of wisteria from the front porch, the scenic lake view, and the sounds of birds and church bells in the morning. You can tell the home has been lovingly maintained by Lilia and her family for many years. We found it to be an ideal launching point to explore the surrounding areas while having a peaceful calm village to return to in the evening away from the hustle and crowds. The stairs are no joke and took some getting used to for us flatlanders; we would definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. Lilia was very attentive, kind, and an absolute joy to communicate with! For those who are interested- I Giardini di Villa Melzi botanical garden in Bellagio was one of the most beautiful gardens we have ever visited. We highly recommend a visit for garden lovers in the Spring.

Yes, we do put a lot of love into this place, which my mom and I are so fond of. I always make a point of letting people know about the stairs in advance, they are no joke as you say, but most people with no mobility issues forget all about them once they get up there and see the view. It's the price to pay for such beauty. Glad it didn't deter you! You were a most kind and understanding guest, and we really appreciated the cool photo you sent us of a fire salamander you discovered while exploring the Lake area. Villa Melzi is a dream, and spring is such a perfect time to be in Brienno. Come back soon!

Excellent chalet to stay

This beautiful chalet is in a wonderful location and is perfect for a quiet get-away. Lillia is very attentive and her descriptions and directions were excellent. Brienno is an amazing little village just up the road from Como and this chalet is a perfect place to enjoy this area of Italy.

First time in Lake Como and we LOVED this stay!

Lilia and Carmen were extremely responsive, the place was private and had the most amazing views. It was in close proximity to Como and other small towns around the lake. Hi, welcome to our beloved Chalet Lilia!
I am Lilia, the owner. I now live in Manhattan, but I was born and raised in beautiful , romantic Como.
I want you to know that cottage was a labor of love.
My Mom found the property while hiking on the Lake, and it was just a ruin, with the single most magnificent view she had ever seen.
My Dad and I, an couple of years later, designed every inch of a dream cottage we had in mind. Within a year, it was built. We followed the process day and night throughout. For several years we spent week-ends and holidays there. I actually lived there full time for one full year in 2003. Then I married a handsome Canadian man, and I moved to America; my beloved Dad passed away, and my Mom continues to keep the cottage alive by sharing it with visitors from all over the world.

You will love every minute of your vacation here. Very few other places offer you a stand-alone mini-villa, perfect for a couple, not within a larger complex or apartment building. It was conceived to be used as our own holiday home, not a rental property - we put love and care into every little detail.
The spectacular views speak for themselves - you will never want to leave.
It is a perfect starting point or base for hikes, shopping trips, and many many unforgettable adventures on the lake
