The view was fabulous and it was a quick walk to the beach. It was very clean and had everything we needed plus the supermarket across the road. The Taverna just to the east was excellent, we went there twice. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful apartment with us!Sharon

Brilliant location as it has a direct access to the beach, with a taverna next door and a supermarket on the other side of the road. It makes the stay really relaxing when it comes to feeding a family . Also charming Chania is 30 min drive away and if you don't feel like driving anywhere - a lovely authentic village Kalives is 20 min walk away. There is an Archeological site 15 min drive away and Chania has a waterpark and karting for those not interested in history. The property is clean and well equipped, excellent for a relaxing holiday on Crete.

Just lovely

Clean, convenient and met all our needs. A great place to stay with way access to supermarket, the sea and the village of Kalyves. Everyone we met was kind and friendly and helpful
 even during the power outage. We felt part of the family. There are some steep steps so if you struggle with that
 maybe not the most perfect place but for us it was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Host friendly and responsive. Safety box could not be used as no key and there was no barbecue grill as advertised at booking. Local management team were responsive to my query re the above but confirmed not available. Key issue was noise and dust from major renovation of supermarket opposite.

Very good location and very accurate description.

Kalyves is an ideal location for a very relaxing holiday , away from the crowd and the people are very friendly. The property is ideally situated, on the beach , close to the shop and just outside Kalyves where you can easily walk . The property is very well equipped and you will find everything you need to have a home away from home

This was a good apartment in a good location. We enjoyed the less busy Kalyves but was close enough to visit Chania and western parts of the island. The apartment was comfortable. Check in was easy and the hosts kindly accommodated an early check in for us. The only downsides were that parking was limited and it was unclear where to park when there was none. There were not a lot of supplies onsite - we did have to buy laundry detergent for example, just to do 2 loads which is unfortunate (some VRBOs leave leftovers from guests but my sense was this one doesn’t). It was also quite loud while we were there but there was construction happening across the street so was probably just circumstance.We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Modern, comfortable condo on the beach.

We loved the location, views, and amenities at this condo. The unit is quite modern and spacious. Kalyves is a charming town and the people were very welcoming. We had some wonderful, inexpensive meals with great service, and enjoyed walking through the town and on the beach. It was nice to stay close to, but not in Hania, and we loved our visit to that city. Christine was very responsive and provided much information to make our stay more enjoyable.

Perfect - Magnificent sea view, clean and bright

The apartment was very comfortable and modern. Perfect for a relaxing holiday and has its own sandy beach. Local restaurants close by and supermarket opposite. We hired a car with Christine’s recommendation as we wanted to explore the area a little but really you could easily spend your time in the village and the other local beaches which are all within walking distance. I would definitely recommend the apartment and this location. It is perfect.

excellent beach front location

Our party consisted of two adults and 4 kids ages 8-16. The apartment was perfect for us. It was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the many balconies made for easy access to the outside. It was located right on a very nice beach and to a grocery store so there was no need to drive anywhere. If the family visits Crete again, I would not hesitate to book this location again. It suited us perfectly.

Beach appartment stay in Beautiful Crete

This is an appartment which is very well situated in a beautiful part of Crete. It is in the quieter end of Kalyves close enough to the sea to nip down for an early morning swim. It is opposite the supermarket and a few minutes walk from some very recommended tavernas. Beach with brollies are a few minutes away as is a bus stop taking you to Chania town. A balcony looks over the sea for morning and evening moments of loveliness. Would definitely return.

Very nice place

Some issues that the owner was responsive to (peak of summer extreme heat caused upstairs to become uninhabital for a few days, but we purchased a fan which mostly fixed the issue and the owner said she will come up with a future solution (we also left the fan there and you can use it to bring air in from the ocean side and across to the kitchen). The place was an ideal location with a very nice beach (the property is beachfront, but set back behind the fromt properties) and it has a nice view of the beach from the upper balcony. Definite authentic Greek/Crete community!

Very nice accommodation directly by the sea

The apartment has two bedrooms downstairs (one room with 2 single beds and one room with a larger bed). The rooms with the single beds have 2 balconies. Upstairs is the kitchen-living room with another sofa bed. The kitchen is perfectly equipped (except for a blender). There are two more balconies upstairs. One with a very nice sea view. The apartment is right on the street, but the windows are relatively tight. Directly opposite is a large supermarket, and a few taverns and cafes nearby. The actual village center is about 1.5 km away. From the apartment you go through a corridor directly to the sea. There are deck chairs. There are also shady spots by the sea. The area was not crowded even in high season. There are a few stones in the sea, though, so be careful or wear swimming shoes.

Tres bonne location et description tres precise

Kalyves et ideal pour passer des vacances tranquille loin des foules. L'appartement et situe parfaitement , sur la plage, pres des magazins et juste a l'exterieur de Kalyves , que vous pouvez rejoindre a pied tres facilement. Vous trouverez tous ce qu'il faut pour avoir des vacances "a la maison" sans etre a la maison !

Gut ausgestattetes Haus mit Meerblick

Relaxwoche in Kalyves

Ideal gelegene Ferienwohnung in Kalyves,nur ein paar Stiegen zum Strand ,mehrere Tavernen in un mittelbare NĂ€he ,ein Supermarkt gegenĂŒber und ca 10 Gehminuten ins Dorfzentrum 30 Minuten vom Airport und viele Mustsees von Westkreta nicht weit entfernt Die Ferien Wohnung sauber,die Schlafzimmer unten und die WohnkĂŒche oben ! Alle Zimmer sind klimatisiert ! Oben ein Balkon mit dem schönsten Meerblick leider morgens zum FrĂŒhstĂŒck nicht geeignet da volle Sonne und kein Schirm vorhanden Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattetund auch einen SmartTv gibt es(es sind auch Sonnenbetten vorhanden die aber leider ziemlich verrostet und eingerissen waren)und fĂŒr uns 3 Personen gerade richtig!(fĂŒr mehr wirds ein bisschen eng) Der Strand vor der Anlage ist fast privat aber auch hier ist es ohne Sonnen Schirm fast unmöglich bis zum Nachmittag zu liegen da volle Sonne und nur wenig Schatten von wenigen BĂ€umen die bald belegt sind Dies ist jedoch kein Problem da einige wenige Meter weiter Betten und Schirme zu mieten sind oder wenn man etwas konsumiert diese auch gratis sind Alles in allem ein schöner Platz zum entspannen und genießen! Wir haben es ! Auch die Kommunikation ĂŒber die App mit den Vermietern sehr einfach,man bekommt eine Vorinformation ĂŒber die Wohnung und Umgebung und eine detaillierte Anleitung wie man vom Flughafen nach Kalyves kommt! Vielen Dank an die Vermieter !!

Exactly as dercribed on the website.Info from Christine & John very helpfull & prompt.Supermarket across road & 2 very good restaurants 5 mins away.Taxi4Crete excellent as recomended by Christine. Location fantastic , perfect for relaxing . We did not hire a car but the bus stop for Chania nearby, though not many buses this time of year (May 2022).Thanks again for a great stay

Tolle Unterkunft mit schönem Strand direkt davor

Die Wohnung ist wunderschön, wir haben dort nichts vermisst. Durch die Terrassen auf beiden Seiten konnten wir zu fast jeder Tageszeit zwischen Sonne und Schatten wĂ€hlen. Der Strand ist direkt vor der Anlage und im Oktober waren wir dort fast allein. Der Supermarkt direkt gegenĂŒber und mehreren Restaurant im Gehentfernung sind auch sehr angenehm. Das einzige Manko: Die Wohnung liegt direkt an der Straße durch den Ort. Nachts ist es ruhigt, aber zwischen 5 und 6 Uhr kommt die MĂŒllabfuhr und danach nimmt der Verkehr zu. FĂŒr uns kein Problem, aber wer lĂ€rmempfindlich ist, muss mit geschlossenem Fenster und Klimaanlage schlafen. Unsere Vermieter haben uns toll unterstĂŒtzt mit Mietwagenvermittlung, Informationen aller Art - und wegen unseres spĂ€ten Abflugs durften wir auch bis 17 Uhr am letzten Tag in der Wohnung bleiben, vielen Dank nochmals hierfĂŒr!

Christine est Franco-Italienne et John est Anglais. Nous sommes tombés amoureux de cette ßle car elle a conservé son caractÚre traditionnelle. La partie ouest de l'Ïle et notemment la région Chania Apokoronou est trÚs peu commerciale, trÚs peu d'hotels
à comparaison avec l'ouest de Chania (la Canée).

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Située à l'est de Chania, Kalyves bénéficie d'une position priviligiée avec ses 2 plages de sable fin, ses restaurants et tavernes. TrÚs peu connu des tours opérators, kalyves a su conservé son caractÚre traditionel. De nombreux magasins servant la population locale sont ouverts toute l'année.

Vue sur la mer, accÚs direct à la plage depuis la co propriéte et donc pas de route à traverser. c'est comme une plage privée avec du sable fin. On vous fourni les chaises longues pliables que vous pouvez emporter sur la plage.
l'appartment est tout équipé pour pouvoir cuisiner pour un famille de 6 personnes. Vous prendrez vos repas sur le balcon avec vue sur la mer à moins que vous préfériez une bonne "bouffe" dans les restaurants que vous pourrez rejoindre à pieds.
