Une retraite tranquille sur 5 hectares, notre maison est le cadre idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre et profiter des Ăźles. Promenez-vous parmi les majestueux Garry Oaks et les sapins Douglas anciens tout en admirant la vue sur le mont. Constitution et Mt. Boulanger. Profitez des fleurs sauvages des prairies au printemps, en tournant les feuilles Ă  l'automne, ou prĂ©lassez-vous sur le pont dans le climat chaud d'Ă©tĂ© des San Juans. L'observation des baleines par le phare de Lime Kiln ou de longues promenades sur South Beach sont Ă  quelques minutes en voiture. Nous espĂ©rons que vous tomberez amoureux de l'Ăźle comme nous l'avons fait. Deux chambres et une banquette-lit double en font la location idĂ©ale pour une petite escapade en famille. Notre maison dispose de deux salles de bains: une avec une baignoire sur pattes et une avec une douche. Également Ă©quipĂ© d'un lave-vaisselle et d'un poĂȘle Ă  bois. We enjoy this beautiful spot during all seasons, even in winter with long nights and stormy weather. The property is well set up to enjoy long evenings shared with friends. We cooked together in the well equipped kitchen, enjoyed the hot tub, lit the wood stove, finished puzzles and worked on knitting projects. During the day we did done storm chasing and even got out on the water for some winter birding and crabbing. It's the best place we know to get away from the city and enjoy some holiday island time.

We had stayed at the Rhubarb house previously but this was the first time in the cottage. Really enjoyed how cozy it was and the big bathroom with the nice shower. Would recommend anyone coming and staying in the cottage to bring your own spices and cooking items such as olive oil, butter, etc.

Honeymoon in Friday Harbor

This was such a peaceful house to stay at and the grounds were beautiful. We really enjoyed all of the nooks and the hot tub was perfect. The only thing I would change is the laundry detergent and hand soap. The dark blue towels and the downstairs bedding were very fragrant and as a fragrance-free person, I was not able to use those. We found less scented towels and bedding upstairs. Luckily I brought my own hand soap. I would highly suggest switching over to all unscented products.

Beautiful San Juan

This is a beautiful property - very peaceful and relaxing. The house is the most unique we have ever stayed at. It was filled with all kinds of nooks and crannies. All of it was most tastefully decorated. It was really fun to explore. While the rest of the country was suffering in record breaking heat and humidity, we woke up to clear blue skies with the temperatures staying in the seventies. And oh the wonderful air--no humidity.

Beautiful, unique home on gorgeous property

The property is even better than it appears in the listing. The house was uniquely designed and built by craftsman. It is filled with art and books and is very well-equipped. The outside is just as special, with extensive views of the surrounding countryside and beautiful plantings. It is about a 10-15 minute drive to Friday Harbor, so it was very easy to stock up on groceries or go into town for a meal. I would love to go back!

Cabin experience

Overall it was cozy just like the pictures with a beautiful sceanary. We did find a pill on the floor where my 1 year old son was kneeling in front of the coffee table watching tv. So you might want to ensure that the property management is running the vacuum. There's also no blinds in the master upstairs so my baby was up with the sunrise and hard to put down due to the lighting.

San Juan Island Visit

Family in town from Pittsburgh and wanted us all to see a new part of my home in the Northwest so a San Juan Island experience was in order! A great property and space that is about 10 minutes from Friday Harbor, secluded, quiet and tranquil. Easy access and the photos of the inside don't do it justice, this place has a nice, full kitchen and common space with excellent decks. Blythe the manager is very responsive and kind...even though the front door locks are a challenge! Highly recommended overall and will likely return on next visit to the area!

Wonderful place to stay for a family with a dog.

The home and property were a perfect place to stay for our family of four with our golden retriever. The home slept the four of use comfortably and was filled with lots of trinkets which made for its charm. Our dog loved the large back yard area and could run freely. There was a swing in one of the trees that our daughters used everyday while playing in the yard. The house was tucked away from other homes and quite secluded. If you want total privacy make sure to check on also renting the small guest house located right next door with a hot tub. The house was surrounded by beautiful flowers and lots of wildlife, such as deer, bald eagles, etc. The location was center to all the beaches, whale watching sites (Lime Kiln Lighthouse), and Friday Harbor. It was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back in the future!

It was all about the water

There was possible e-coli in the water. We were supplied with bottled water, but one of the containers was so heavy it took both of us and some tools to maneuver it. We were never able to access the television or electronics - they were very old.

Graduation Trip

We really liked this house! I brought my nephews here to celebrate the youngest's graduation from high school. They had a blast! We actually didn't end up spending a ton of time at the property, but it is in a good location and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was good. I would like to come here again and spend more time at the house.

Haven

This was our second stay at this beautiful haven on San Juan Island. Last year, we fell in love with the island and this place, in particular. This year only reinforced how much we love island living, but also the experience of being in this peaceful setting. The house is the perfect blend of modern amenities and warm, rustic design and feel. The surrounding acreage is a lovely playground for pups/people. Its location is convenient to pretty much the entire island, being less than 10 minutes from Friday Harbor restaurants and ferry, and little more than that to parks both south and north, as well as Roche Harbor. The filtered views of the Olympic mountains and the Haro Strait are a bonus. Hopefully we can come back and stay again.

Perfect Getaway

We had such a wonderful stay that we didn’t want to leave! The house is so warm and inviting, with all the touches of home and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property is wonderful to walk and explore as well, especially if you have a pup with you like we did. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Loved it!

What a gem! The property is just wonderful. My dog was in heaven-free to run and chase balls. The house is a little quirky which is (mostly) charming. I had to laugh tho. Caroline must have been tall! I am not. In the mirror, I saw the top of my head. TV is kind of non existant. I remember that TV from the 90's. Couldn't work it. But, good WIFI to stream on laptop and work. It went out of few times, but not for long. Really nice young couple rented the smaller cottage next door, so I can't comment on the spa or fire pit as it wasn't available to us. The house is very cozy. I read in the reading nook and on the porch. This house is for readers. But please, replace the couch! Can't wait to go back and stay longer.

Cute cabin tucked away off the beaten path

The cabin was perfect for our group of four, and our dog really enjoyed playing catch on the 5 acres of property surrounding.
