Great host who made us very welcome. Great location if you just need to get away from things and enjoy peace and quiet but easy access to local towns and roads. The property has two beautiful ponies who are very friendly and four cats who love sitting on your lap. The house has everything you need for a great holiday, the beds are very comfortable too.

Our family of 5 loved staying at Sean and Suzi's cottage! They were warm and welcoming hosts and their place had everything that we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The ponies and cats provided memorable moments for our kids especially. We appreciated the personal recommendations for things to do in the area and hope to come back to be able to enjoy the area more.

A magical stay near Bracklagh — perfect for familiese had an excellent stay at Tigh Mhic in Bracklagh with our two boys, and it’s easy to see why this spot is so special. The quaint country road leading to the cottage set the tone right away, and we were delighted to find Shetland ponies and surrounding farms just outside — a real treat for our kids. A local cat took a liking to us during our stay, and it became one of those small, unexpected moments the boys still talk about. One of our favorite surprises was the hidden bar in the cottage — such a unique and special touch that made the stay feel even more memorable. The location was ideal for us, as it’s close to family in Cloonfad, making it easy to combine a relaxing cottage stay with visits nearby. The host was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us find the house, which we really appreciated. We’d happily stay at Tigh Mhic again and recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful, scenic base in this part of Ireland.

Pros: Gracious and communicative host. Easy check in and out process. Lovely home on lovely property. convenient location to local town (10min) Cons, did not have residential sized fridge. Bedding lacked a top sheet for any of the beds.

Thanks for taking the time to review our cottage. Great to read that you found Tigh Mhic a handy and lovely base. 2 of the 3 bedrooms were fully made up including bottom sheets as we thought you just wanted the two rooms (we did email to ask how many bedrooms you needed) and we would have been very happy to come over and make up the third bedroom if asked. The fridge is the usual under counter model but definitely not a full size American style one.
