This villa is such an idyllic, beautiful setting with an incredible view across the bay. The property is well cared for and maintained and has been upgraded considerably from the photos on Vrbo, including new outdoor furniture and comfortable wooden sunloungers, an outdoor shower and a huge smart tv in the lounge area. The pergola has been replaced by a tiled roof so you can sit outside on the corner sofa or gorgeous marble table area whatever the weather. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, outdoor grill, microwave and all amenities you could need and lots of nice little touches to make your stay extra special. There is even a room filled with dvds, books and jigsaws you are welcome to borrow. We stayed for a week at the end of October and had a relaxing time in gorgeous sunshine. It is a real slice of paradise set in the hill above Vlycha Bay. The generous welcome food pack on arrival was very much appreciated as we arrived late on Saturday and the big supermarkets don’t open on Sundays. Communication with the owner Shane was excellent. He couldn’t do enough for us and Terri who maintains the property and pool was really helpful and both made sure we had a wonderful week at the villa. We hope to return again soon and would recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in a pretty, well maintained property.

This was our third stay at the villa. The pool area is lovely & the view of the bay is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped & the lounge area has a huge TV with a huge choice of DVD's if you enjoy a movie night. The bedrooms are a good size & the upstairs bedrooms have balconys & again beautiful views of the bay. Shane is a brilliant host, always replies quickly & answers questions & sorts out anything that may crop up.Terry, the pool man is lovely & checks the pool every other day & changes the bedding with the help of his family.I would say you need a car as the supermarket is a 5 minute drive away & there are lots of lovely places to see on the island.

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. Super clean and has everything you need! The pool was large and spotlessly clean and the view out across the pool and across to the bay below was breathtaking! We all agreed that it was the best villa we had ever stayed at! The host was so kind.. we arrived to a fridge containing essentials such as milk and cheese,fruit and ham and wine and beer! A very welcome site after a long day of travelling. Communications with Shane was quick and easy and the midweek change of sheets and towels was appreciated. Beds were very comfortable.5 minute walk down hill to the beach which was sandy and not at all crowded. The Lindian Jewel hotel is on your route to the beach and was our daily stop for beer or cocktails a snack or evening meals. Excellent food reasonably priced and fabulous friendly staff. All in all a wonderful stay at a beautiful villa and like many of the other previous guests we hope to return.

Wir (2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder 13, 7 u.6J.) genossen einen traumhaften Aufenthalt in einer nicht mehr ganz "brandneuen 5* Villa". Die Villa ist schön und gross, die Einrichtung ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen. Was etwas nervig war, die FensterlĂ€den in den oberen Schlafzimmern waren kaputt und liessen sich nur mit einem "Draht" schliessen. War etwas gefĂ€hrlich wenn die Kinder daran hantierten. Wir mussten am zweiten Tag den Hauswart kommen lassen, da einiges zu machen war: Klimaanlage im Wohnzimmer funktionierte nicht, Klobrille war gebrochen und musste ausgewechselt werden und die AblageflĂ€che im unteren Bad war ebenfalls defekt. Ausserdem mussten einige leere Flaschen vom VorgĂ€nger entsorgt werden. Es sind Kleinigkeiten und doch machen genau diese Kleinigkeiten aus, ob es sich um ein 5* Haus handelt oder eben nicht. Was uns ebenfalls etwas enttĂ€uscht hatte war, dass es gar nichts an Pflegeprodukten wie Shampoo oder Duschgel hatte, bis jetzt hatten wir das in jedem 5* Haus! Die Betten waren sehr bequem und gross genug. Der Aussenbereich mit Pool und Lounge war grandios und die Aussicht schlicht ĂŒberwĂ€ltigend. Hervorheben möchte ich die Kommunikation mit dem Housekeeping, es war perfekt, sie waren sehr hilfsbereit und sofort zur Stelle wenn man sie brauchte, DANKE!Wie gesagt, der Aufenthalt war sehr schön und wir freuen uns schon auf den nĂ€chsten Griechenlandurlaub!

Excellent villa, lovely pool and close to bars

The villa was as described and worked perfectly for our family of 5, plenty of room and everything we needed.It was a really nice touch when we turned up, the fridge had been stocked with some basics like milk, butter, bread, fruit and a few beers, plus a nice bottle of red on the table, great way to start the holiday.The pool and putside area were excellent too.The villa is up a steep hill but its not too bad for a few minutes. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance and then Lindos is about 10 mins in a car. We were able to get taxis from Lindian Jewel hotel at the bottom of the hill.Communication with Shane was easy and always responded quickly to any questions.Overall, highly recommended

Stunning. We actually changed our plans from a Rhodes visit of touring the island to one of relaxing at the villa based on the astounding beauty and comfort of this place. Shane was fantastic to work with, was a clear communicator, and his hospitality was over the top. I'd highly recommend this villa to anyone and my family hopes to use it again for a futrue visit to Rhodes!

A Perfect Family Getaway with Stunning Views

We’ve stayed in several holiday homes before, but this one is truly exceptional. It offers all the comforts of home. The rooms are spacious, and there’s plenty of storage space, a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, TV with DVD player, air conditioning, and more. There are enough plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, and pans for a whole family.The outdoor area is fantastic. There’s a comfortable lounge area and a large dining space under a covered patio, as well as a BBQ. The pool, although not heated, is clean and big enough to enjoy. The new, stylish wooden sun loungers are very comfortable and give you a real luxury hotel feeling.The house has a stunning view over the bay. We loved enjoying breakfast, a cup of coffee, or an aperitif while taking in that beautiful scenery.It’s located in a very peaceful area, yet not isolated. You can walk to the beach, and there’s a supermarket just 1 km away and a great bakery 1.5 km from the house.Within a 10-minute drive, you’ll find the lively villages of Pefkos and Lardos, and the beautiful town of Lindos is even closer.Whenever we had a question, we could always count on Terry, the local property manager. He was very helpful and friendly.We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday in this home on Rhodes.

Amazing stay in Vlicha Bay

Our second visit to this lovely villa, it felt like coming home! Everything we needed, with two 79 year olds we definitely need a car. Supermarket just over a mile away, pool area beautiful, lovely beach down the hill and fantastic views. Teri is very helpful and just a call away if you need anything. We have already booked for our third visit, 3 weeks next year!

Lovely Property / Beautiful Location

Lovely villa in a lovely location. The villa was exactly as advertised, and even came with a well stocked fringe (wine, cheese, ham, juice, fruit, water etc). Host (Shane) always responded quickly to any questions. Terry the maintenance guy was awesome. We called him out once as we had a question, and he was here super quickly (awesome service). We went out to Lindian Jewell a couple of times (2 minute walk down a steep hill), and it was lovely. We also had food and drink at The Banana Bar on the beach which was lovely and fully shaded). The Ktima restaurant is lovely but overpriced (had better meals at the Lindian Jewell and in Lindos. The Dionysos Resturant was recommended by Shane. This was also a lovely restaurant with a lovely rooftop view. Definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a villa in Rhodes. Only thing to be mindful of is the extremely steep ‘road / path’ leading to the villa. But don’t let this put you off. You get used to driving up it, and it’s only about 100metres. Thankyou Shane and Terry!!!! Awesome Hosts!!!

Once in a lifetime vacation

Our stay at Shane's villa was amazing. We brought our family of 6 from the USA to stay here and had an amazing time. This villa was spacious inside and out. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook in , including a BBQ grill outside. The pool and patio space had incredible views that we soaked in morning and night. We made sure to get good use out of the pool daily, whether it be morning before our beach trips or afternoon before cocktails! Everything was well maintained and updated. Family movie nights were a plus with the extensive selection they had. The villa is located minutes (walking) to a beautiful beach and great restaurants. We used the mini market several times for basic things but did big food shopping at the local supermarket five minutes with a car. We did rent a car for the week which gave us great options for dining, beaches and ability to take a day trip to another island from a boat in Rhodes .The parking space by the villa was great since the house is located on a very steep incline. Terry the house manager/pool maintenance man was fantastic and quick to respond with any questions we had. He loves his job and it shows . He went out of his way to find us some charcoal that we could not to make our family dinner a success!! I would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Rhodes! Thank you Shane for making our family vacation one to remember.

October break

We had a fantastic holiday at the Villa Herrera. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of room, thanks to the great weather & outside area. The 3 bedrooms were a good size & with 2 bathrooms, we had no space issues. The kitchen area was well equipped & the host, Shane was extremely generous with a very well stocked fridge on arrival. The pool and outside area were just lovely! Sunbeds for 6, a cozy sofa area & stunning views across the bay. We spent most of our time here. Terry the pool & general maintenance man was really friendly & helpful but managed to not be intrusive either. Whenever we needed any help, he was there in a very short time & sorted any minor issues straight away. Shane, the host, was great. He was always quick to respond to our messages, generous with equipment & food - he thoroughly deserves his premier host status. We felt Shane & Terry were a good team & felt in very safe hands. We would come back without hesitation.

You need definitely a car. If I would have known what a steep rise there is to reach the villa I wouldn’t have taken it. Some item in the villa are damaged. Pool Manager was really nice and very attentive. Vlycha has nothing to offer. We had to drive every day. Best regards

Greek villa with stunning views

This villa was perfect for our stay, spotlessly clean and spacious with large outside area which had two seating areas both in the shade, as well as plenty of sunbeds round the pool. The views both from the pool area and both balconies are stunning. The kitchen has everything you need, we barbecued a few times. Shane was a fabulous host, answering any queries very quickly during the booking process, and Tery, the local pool cleaner and maintenance man was brilliant, giving us his number and answering straightaway when we had a problem (goats pulled the bougainvillea off the wall and blocked the road - Tery came right away to clear it), and let us know he was available 24/7. It was also the first villa we have ever had which has had a towel and bedding change halfway through our stay, and the best welcome package ever, with a fridge stocked with fruit, wine, juice, milk, cheese, ham and bread. The road up to the villa is steep, but manageable for most people - maybe the elderly would struggle. I would recommend a car - there is a supermarket less than 5 minutes drive away. All in all, a fabulous holiday and we look forward to coming back!

Bel emplacement.maison confortable. TrĂšs agrĂ©able sĂ©jour Par contre quelques ustensiles de mĂ©nage comme un balai seraient bienvenus pour faire un minimum de mĂ©nage en cours de sĂ©jour. Et une affiche trĂšs explicite dans les salles de bain pour bien expliquer qu’il faut mettre le papier toilette dans la poubelle et non dans les toilettes. +++. Enfin juste nous dire aussi oĂč mettre les poubelles

Fabulous Villa in an amazing location

Fabulous Villa, with a wonderful location. Everything about this place is fantastic from the view from the villa, balconies and terrace, to the outside space with outstanding areas to relax, plenty of shade for those who like to get out of the sun but yet stay close to others and the interior is just as stunning, with some of the comfiest beds we've had abroad. This place is a jewel in the Aegean, so relaxing and comes with a resident wildlife show of birds in the afternoon, and the local goats climbing the hillside behind, close enough to Lindos town with it's wonderful meandering little streets, great restaurants and wonderful bays and to quieter Lardos. The decking mentioned in previous reviews looks brand new and appears to have been replaced, the welcome pack provided included much appreciated drinks, fruit, and essentials and a surprise bottle of vino too. Thank you Shane for sharing your home, this villa is just fabulous and we hope to return in the future.

Lovely time

E xtremely well appointed air conditioned and immaculate villa wth space for the family to enjoy the beautiful views and pool. The villa is approached via a very steep hill so fitness required however easily approached by car with parking space.good facilities nearby

My wife and I live in England, I am English, my wife is Russian. We met in 1992 when I worked in Moscow. We married in 1994 and we returned to England in 1997. We have 2 children Thomas born in 1999 and Matthew born in 2001.

Why we chose Rhodes.

My wife and I first visited Rhodes in 1993 and we fell in love with the island straight away. It was always a dream to buy a villa in Rhodes and this dream came true in 2008 when we bought the property off plan. The property was finally completed in October 2009. Location on the island was very important to us and Vlicha Bay was exactly where we wanted to be.

Location - Vlicha Bay is so beautiful, the villa nestled on the moutainside overlooking the sea and just a 2 minute walk down to the fantastic beach.

Vlicha Bay.

The view from the road is enough to entice you. Just before you turn the corner to Lindos you can see the bay with the bluest, clearest water imaginable. A beautiful beach excellent for swimming. Vlicha bay is a peaceful location ideal for relaxing, and it's close proximity to Lindos makes it the ideal. Shops, tavernas and bars are all available on the beach.

Just 5 minutes away, Lindos has everything to offer, supermarkets, banks, tavernas and restuarants and a beautiful beach. At night Lindos boasts some of the finest bars on the island.

Villa Hemera unlike other villa's in the bay is built higher up the mountainside and as a result has the most spectacular views you will find in Vlicha Bay.
