Lovely villa with a pool surrounded by trees and beautiful views. We had a very relaxing stay, very well equipped house with lots of toys and games for the children. Very helpful and responsive communication. Stephane came over very quickly to fix the bbq when we it wasn’t working. Overall a fantastic holiday, thank you! There was some work being done to the entrance of the path on the walk to the village, so this was a little confusing to find initially. But the path was fine and a nice walk in to the village. Highly recommend the market in Fayence on Thursdays and the pizzeria in Saint Paul en foret.

Very nice villa that gave a beautiful holiday stay

We spent 2 weeks in the villa and enjoyed every day. It is a quiet area in close distance to the village. The pool is very nice and we spent a lot of time there in the warm and nice weather. The location is ideal for trips in the area and to visit restaurants in Fayence and shop at Super U. The villa is well equiped and cleaned and a nice outdoor area. We would like to come back at a later occasion.

We also found time to relax by the villa's amazing pool in the peaceful garden. The air conditioning ensured a restful nights sleep. You wouldn't find a better place for a holiday. Absolutely stunning, the photos do not do it justice

Having just returned from a lovely relaxing week at this fabulous villa my family & I can’t wait to return. Everything you could possibly need is available to you at this incredible property & Anns attention to detail with preholiday literature is brilliant. We as a family are not at all fluent in French but got on fine in the area although we didn’t go far as we were more than happy to laze around the pool all day & eat and drink at the villa most evenings. I can not recommend this villa enough for a 5 star property, absolutely brilliant

Thank you so much for the great review. So glad you had a relaxing week. We would love to have you back anytime. Thats so interesting what you say about getting on fine without being fluent in French. We’ve also noticed in recent years too how much easier it is to get by without fluent French in the area. I am learning French myself and find that when I try my rusty French these days the locals tend to reply in English, especially the younger generation who seem keen to be bi-lingual and enjoy practicing their English!

Outstanding accomodation in the hinterland of the Côte d'azur

We had a very pleasant time in a well-equipped and spacious house with its large and calm surrounding. The large pool and the terrace with its deck-chairs were comfortable places for recreation. The nearer (Fayence, Seillans, Tourrette, Callian, Montaroux) and farer (from St. Tropez to Nizza) surrounding could be visited without any problems by bike and car. In the end always kind communication with Ann, the owner of the property.

Lovely villa in Provence

This villa has an excellent pool, perfect for our family of five and bigger than many others. It is in an excellent location - very secluded but near to Fayence which has everything you could need. There is a good bakery (La Grillotine) there which we found useful for breakfast. There are a number of Domaines around where you can buy some lovely local wine. Fréjus is only half an hour away if you want to get to the coast (well worth going on Monday evenings in July and August to see the fireworks from the beach). This is the second time we have stayed here. We came back because it’s in a great location, excellent value and just right for our teenage family of five.

A great base for a 2 week stay

Ann's house is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the Cote d'Azur but away from the hustle of the coast. The house is very clean, spacious and well equipped. We went as a family of four adults but six people would not be cramped. A highlight is the lovely pool and the wilder garden area is a haven for wildlife. The house is set in a quiet village about 45 minutes from the coast. The fascinating town of Fayence is ten minutes away, with its brilliant market, boulangerie and cafes. Communication with Ann was first class and the property is accurately described in the listing. We had a great two weeks

Thank you for the lovely review, so glad you all had a great time and everything was good. I agree Fayence is a fascinating village, quite the view from the top, and for a small place a lot going on - in the summer there is usually something happening in the square and at the open open air theatre, there are lots of authentic restaurants and markets and an annual antiques festival.

What a fabulous week in a beautiful home! The villa really is gorgeous, with lovely details throughout. The pool is huge and a lovely temperature so we didn’t have kids moaning about being cold all the time. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were too hard for our taste. The outdoor bbq are is lovely and we spent many evenings sitting outside enjoying the warm evening weather. It’s a short walk (10 mins - with steep hills but off road) to the village. Unfortunately not much was open when we were there but it was still fun to visit. The pizzeria takeaway was a huge hit! We would absolutely recommend staying here for a memorable family/friends holiday. Thank you xxx

Thank you so much for the lovely review, so glad you had a fabulous time. And thank you for the feedback, I have softer pillows stored at the villa and will provide a mix for next season. Good to hear the pizzeria was a hit, there is a lot of Italian influence in the area. The village bakery is also under new ownership, I think the croissants are excellent there, it’s a local pastime to source the best. We really appreciate the recommendation, we would be so delighted to have you stay again anytime. Hope you enjoy the rest of the great summer we are having.

A great cottage in very quiet surroundings

We have enjoyed our time as a family very much, the house is very well equipped to the smallest detail, in the kitchen lacks nothing. The beds were very comfortable and we slept peacefully thanks to the canopy bed mosquito nets. If we had any questions we could always contact Ann or Peter and received prompt answers. If you want to complain on a high level, it would have been nice if the gorgeous pool had been heated a bit. The weather at the end of May / beginning of June was unfortunately not yet so warm. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation in the house, which we will remember with pleasure.

Wonderfully relaxing week

We had a lovely stay at this villa. Ideally placed to allow for trips to the lakes, beach and Monaco. The villa itself flows wonderfully from indoors to out and has a really good feel about it. We did stay late into the season, following a significant dry spell and a little needed tlc is needed to the pool and surrounding area is the only reason I didn’t give this five stars. Unfortunately the village was closed for half of the holiday which is not a fault of the property but worth considering and bearing in mind if you travel during the last week of the school summer holidays. I would absolutely love to return but would come early in the holidays rather than the end. Ann was wonderful with help and communication.

Thank you so much for your review, we like the design of the villa too, thanks for saying so and we appreciate the feedback about the pool and surrounding area. Its good to know what is important to guests so we can prioritise where we invest, its a growing challenge in the dry weather and with the water shortages but we will find a way to make improvements for next season. Sorry the village was closed for half your holiday, it does get quieter there later in the season. We come out in October half term when the weather is often really nice and there are some very good restaurants still open. Would love to have you back again anytime. We aim to keep our pricing flexible to match the popularity of different weeks in the season.

Perfect villa for our week in Provence

This villa is a fantastic place to stay. It is very well equipped and comfortable, and the property manager is very accommodating and helpful. The pool is excellent - very large and has a good depth which is perfect for our active children. We ate outdoors for every meal, and the terrace is great for this being just outside the kitchen which has all you could need. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms nicely furnished. The air conditioning is a blessing as the nights can be very hot in Provence. The location is also lovely. We visited Fayence which has a lovely market and a convenient Super U that is only a few minutes drive away. That said, it was nice to be able to walk from the villa to the bakers in the village to buy croissants in the morning. We also had a day trip to St Tropez and watched the fireworks from the beach in Fréjus (which are free every week in August).

Perfect

This villa was the best we have ever stayed in. It is tasefully decorated, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly want for a perfect holiday. The garden is totally private and the pool is properly heated for swimming morning , noon and night. It is also big and a good depth with steps along one side. The garden has sun all day and tables and chairs to eat in the sun or shade and loungers to relax. It was lovely to have the air conditioning for a restful night in the comfy beds. There were lots of places to visit close by as well as trips to the coast and a train trip to Monaco along the coast which was fantastic. There are also supermarkets close by as well as a bakers, butchers and Restuarants in the village a short walk away. We really enjoyed our holiday and hope to return again as many others have. Fabulous property- a wonderful stay

Myself, my husband, adult daughter and boyfriend stayed for a week at the beginning of September 2024, together with our small dog. The gated property is simply fabulous, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need and more, we like to source local food and cook and ate outside by the beautiful pool and inside too in the stunning dining room when the storm came. The property was spacious, cool and clean. The lady in the local boulangerie was very pleasant providing gluten free bakery too. We had a beautiful meal at the L'auberge Fleurie in Fayence and fantastic moules in San Raphael, but did not need to travel too much further as we had driven a long way from England and had visited nearby places in previous years but, simply, because the property was so lovely, we were just happy to be there and enjoy family time together in the peaceful surroundings. Communication with hosts and managers was really helpful throughout and we are so grateful for your attention to detail and your obvious care. Thank you -we would love to visit again

Thank you so much for the lovely review. So glad you enjoyed the holiday and property and the area. We would love to host you again. We work hard to keep the villa as a home from home for our guests. Although we have 5 bedrooms we limit the rooms rented to 3 (6 people) so there is plenty of room in and around the villa for everyone to relax. We spend 2 weeks every April and October working at the villa to ensure it is well maintained and equipped and we are always available to help with questions from guests before and during their stay.

Fantastic villa in a cosy and serene village

We had two amazing weeks in the villa where we enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool and the house itself. In the hot weather we spent many days just sunbathing and cooling down in the pool. We were 6 persons in our group and for us this villa was perfect. Originally we booked it for 2020, but of course we had to postpone due to covid. In the dialogue we had with the owner in this process, we really felt that they wanted us to feel welcome as guests and make sure that everything was in order. When we arrived at the house, this impression was confirmed as everything was in perfect order and we could just settle in. In the surrounding area there are plenty of villages, cities, beaches and nature to see and explore. The challenge is to choose where to go. Thank you to Ann and Eugene for letting us rent the villa. It was perfect for us and made our vacation a time to remember for everyone in our family. Kåre and Stine + 4 kids from 5 to 16.

"Far from the madding crowd" ... but not too far!!

Les Colles was perfect for us. Set in a quiet, rural but also residential area,it was an easy walk to the village and just 10 minutes drive from Fayence. We didn't want the hustle and bustle of the coast but did want reasonable access to our favourite haunts. Being an easy 15 minute drive to the motorway ticked that box completely. The property itself exceeded the description being , spacious, well equipped and functional yet retaining its rustic charm. Outside the heated pool was fantastic for us and the table tennis table (dead easy to open and close) the scene of many a hard fought battle. Sunbathing was a joy with plenty of comfortable recliners and umbrellas to hand. We invariably retreated to the large canopied pergola at some point to escape the blazing sun - a great place for a tranquil read. The grounds were extensive and totally private with glimpses of the surrounding mountains from several view points. Vehicular access to the property and parking was refreshingly simple and uneventful - not always the case! . We ate well at reasonably priced local restaurants with Seillans being our favourite haunt. To summarise a perfect spot for both families or older couples like us who want the climate and "savoir faire" of the Riviera but also value an unhurried environment with plenty of peace and seclusion

Thank you so much for the lovely review and so glad to hear you enjoyed the great location, the heated pool and the peace and seclusion. You have expressed so well the aspects of holidaying in the Riviera that we love ourselves. Hope to see you back again sometime.

Thank you for the lovely review, it means a lot coming from a French person, us interlopers can only hope to be as effortlessly elegant as the French. It was a pleasure to host you.

Merci beaucoup.

We are an Irish couple who have lived in the UK for over 30 years. We have been advertising on VRBO for a number of years now and have been fortunate to rent our villa to genuinely delightful guests who all share our love of France, spending time with family and having a beautiful, private, peaceful place to stay in a great location. We manage the villa ourselves with help from some of our wonderful French neighbours; Peter is a very experienced property manager who speaks fluent English and French, Murielle and Stephan manage the cleaning, laundry and gardening. Please feel free to call and speak to us personally at any time. We hope you have a wonderful time on holidays at our villa and we are always available in person on the phone or email to help with any questions you have before you go. Please read our reviews to see what our guests have experienced.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We love escaping to the sunny warm weather and the gorgeous food in the South of France. We visit the villa mostly in the school holidays and are amazed at how excellent the area is as a holiday destination for families with young children. My parents spend time at the villa in May and October when the weather is also great and you can explore at your leisure. My father is a keen yachtsman, he spends hours browsing around the yachts at Frejus harbor and was enthralled with the beauty of the Tall Ships which come to St Tropez in October. My mother loves the glamour, shopping and fine restaurants of Cannes which is an easy 30 minute drive from the villa.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our representative who will meet you speaks fluent English and French. He lives locally and has invaluable knowledge on the local area.
