Dans un village rĂ©putĂ© pour sa beautĂ© exceptionnelle, l'architecture et la tranquillitĂ©, L'Ă©table est un gĂźte de vacances de luxe de trois chambres dans un cadre agrĂ©able de la cour. SituĂ© Ă  proximitĂ© de la Fortingall HĂŽtel primĂ© et le cĂ©lĂšbre 5000 annĂ©es-vieux Yew Tree, il est Ă  seulement deux heures de Édimbourg et de Glasgow. La rĂ©gion est riche en beautĂ© et de la faune, situĂ© en plein cƓur de Perthshire avec ses collines, des lacs, des riviĂšres et de forĂȘts. La petite ville de Aberfeldy est de huit miles de distance et le village pittoresque de Kenmore Ă  la tĂȘte de la riviĂšre Tay est seulement six miles. Glen Lyon, l'Ecosse plus longue et la plus belle vallĂ©e Ă©tend l'Ouest depuis plus de 35 miles et le ruban argentĂ© de la riviĂšre Lyon reprend les contours du village comme il se fraie un passage vers l'est pour rejoindre le Tay. L'Ă©table propose un hĂ©bergement spacieux et confortable pour jusqu'Ă  six personnes dans trois chambres avec deux salles de bains et un petit jardin privĂ© avec barbecue et un coin donnant sur la forĂȘt. Lovely spacious and comfortable location in Glen Lyon and the tiny gem of Fortingall. Great access to Scottish Crannog Center and amazing walks in all directions. Nice little back garden, electric car charge and Hotel Fortingall next door.

Location, location. This charming cottage is right across the street from lush green pastures and sheep. Just steps away is also a hotel that you can pop over for a drink or dine inside. This was the perfect location for our family to take day trips and return to our quaint cottage to enjoy a meal or warm up by the fire. We had a great stay!

The Byre, Fortingall.

Honestly, the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. I would recommend staying at the Byre with no hesitation whatsoever.

Enjoyable stay

Well since you’re asking! Everything was good, apart from just three things. The freezer didn’t work, the door didn’t close properly. The oven and stove top were questionable; the cool down cycle on the oven was long and loud. The master bed mattress was a bit skinny and quite uncomfortable. Everything else was great.

Quiet and peaceful village

Perfect getaway at the base of the highlands

We spent three nights in this lovely place. It was comfortable, tidy, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for getting a taste of Scotland, away from crowds. Highly recommend.

All good. Slightly disappointed in the initial impression .. lots of bins outside, dead baskets & weeds in entrance path and in garden at front plus the same in the rear garden, patio full of weeds & garden furniture in need of some love. Spacious property, clean, a little dark with brown being the dominant colour. Welcome milk, tea, coffee, sugar, no welcome pack. Oven needs cleaning. Comfy beds. Bedroom overly garden on the chilly side. Loved the location, Fortingall very beautiful.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting!

We enjoyed every aspect of or stay. The cottage was immaculate and had everything required for an enjoyable stay. The owner and caretaker were only a phone call away and only too happy to help when we had a request for an extra evening stay. Nothing was to much trouble. We would definitely recommend the cottage for exploring the wonderful countryside in the area.

Hidden gem in Glen Lyon

Lovely cottage, all we needed except TV was very old and we could not access subtitles for my partner who has severe hearing loss. Fortingall Hotel just next door, food excellent.

Beautiful property in the heart of Scotland

My husband, sister, niece and I stayed a week in The Byre this May. The property is second to none. It is so well appointed, roomy, bright, tastefully decorated and spotless. It has it's own private garden for sitting out or eating a large kitchen and dining area, a very generous living room and comfortable spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. On top of all that it is located in a truly fascinating little village with a lovely little pub and a hotel just a few meters away (It was off season, so we didn't get a chance to make use of the hotel restaurant, but it looked very inviting) instead when not cooking at the property, we ate in both Kenmore and Aberfeldy which are not far from Fortingall. The village is central to so much of Scotland, Glencoe, Pitlochry, The Trossachs, Glasgow and the coast. It is a perfect place for a restful holiday with plenty of room for a family of 4 to 6. I can't recommend it highly enough. Wish I was back there.

New Year at the Byre

Great home base for our adventures.

We loved staying at The Byre, the location was perfect as a base for our hill walking and Munro bagging, while still being an easy drive away from Glasgow and Edinburgh for city adventures. Coming home to the cozy wood stove after a long day hiking was just perfect, and the well equipped kitchen had all we wanted for cooking meals. Having two bathrooms and such an open living space was just what we needed when family joined us part of the stay.

Beautiful place!

This is my first time in Scotland and it has left me wanting more. The accommodation was amazing and all amenities were there. The house was beautifully clean and a perfect home from home. We all really enjoyed our stay and felt fully recharged.

We are passionate about Scotland and the beautiful area of Fortingall. It is such a magical place where time seems to slow down to a much gentler pace. We feel very honoured to own a property in such a fabulous area and the large number of returning guests seem to validate our opinion!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The Byre was converted from a former cattle shed in 2007 along with The Stables, The Salmon House and The Granary in a delightful enclosed courtyard setting. Our home is Perthshire and we adore the tranquility of the area and encouraging visitors to share in the magic and enjoy the countryside.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We love slowing down from the hectic pace of life associated with work and cities. Fortingall is so peaceful and is a superb base for walkers, climbers as well as for those touring around the Scottish Highlands. The Byre is located within a few steps of the Fortingall Hotel, where guests can eat in the restaurant or relax in the cosy bar.
