Peu Pee Dee Cabin

White Oak Cabin est situé sur la Petite Pee Dee dans la section de l'Britton cou du comté de Marion, Caroline du Sud. Il est endroit confortable pour passer quelques jours tranquilles le long de la Petite Pee Dee, en Caroline du Sud désigné River Scenic.
La riviĂšre est idĂ©al pour le kayak, le canotage, la pĂȘche ou simplement se dĂ©tendre! La cabine est situĂ© Ă  environ 30 minutes de Myrtle Beach et University CĂŽte de Caroline. Marion historique et le MusĂ©e Mullins tabac sont Ă  20 minutes. De nombreux invitĂ©s prĂ©cĂ©dents ont utiliser la cabine comme une base pour explorer Charleston, Myrtle Beach et participer Ă  des activitĂ©s sportives et des Ă©vĂ©nements musicaux au littoral.

My husband, son and I were visiting family out of state and needed somewhere to stay for a few nights with our two dogs. The cabin was perfect, secluded and peaceful for us to get some rest after a long drive. River out back is beautiful as well and the neighbors we did see were very friendly. Roy was quick to communicate everything we needed to know about check-in and overall we had a very nice stay.

Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay it was a very peaceful place to be. Cabin had everything we needed we spent 7 days and enjoyed every one of them even though it rained we still enjoyed walking, boating and cooking out. This truly is a hidden gem.

The cabin could have used a better cleaning before we checked in. Over all it was okay, had a couple lizards in there and a big cockroach, those are to be expected staying right on the swamp. Ran into a water mocosin on the boat dock area. The boat dock could really use some repairs. Overall the host was great, would return again.

Weekend getaway

Wonderful get away!!

Roy is super nice and it was easy to communicate with him as he would respond quickly to any questions. The neighbors on both sides of him are super friendly and the neighbors boxer had a good time hanging out and playing with our dog. It is a quiet little neighborhood. Hope to get back soon. Great for nature lovers!

We spent a month here to get away from the northern winter and it was great! We loved the river, the trees, the huge variety of birds and the quiet. Roy’s affordable, get-away-from-it-all cabin is located in a tiny neighborhood of mostly second homes along the Little Peedee River. It’s spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. It’s a little out of the way but not a bad drive to Conway and Myrtle Beach. It was a good place to experience some real Southern hospitality. Roy was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. We won’t hesitate to come back!

Weekend Getaway

I really enjoyed the property with my two boys. They had so much fun fishing on the floating dock. Even though they didn't catch anything the piece they experienced was refreshing. I made sure to sign the guest book and Roy was such a pleasant person to finally meet in person.

River Relaxin'

White Oak cabin is a great place to rest and enjoy time together. We loved sitting by the river, walking through the neighborhood, playing games, and cooking in the iron skillet! The location is great for exploring the surrounding area-- Huntington Beach State Park is about an hour away. Check out the buffet at SchoolHouse BBQ in Scranton. Roy is a great host. Thanks for answering all of our questions beforehand and leaving the light on for us!

Excellent cabin on the Little Pee Dee River

We were totally happy with the cabin. One problem was the cell phone connection. We are on Verizon and had one bar to no bars all the time. I have to thank Roy for havIng installed a cell booster yet for Verizon it didn’t help. The television is operating on an in door digital antenna. Reception was spotty yet a few channels worked well. The bed was very comfortable and all appliances worked perfectly.

We built this Cabin while our children were in school. It was constructed in the winter using local craftsmen and farm workers who needed work in the off season.. The children are now adults and we enjoy having our grandchildren visit us there. As they are away at college and some even planning to marry, there is lots of time to have special guests come for a week-end or more. I am now retired and spend my days golfing or tinkering around the Cabin. I really enjoy trying my hand in woodworking and you can see the results of my efforts when you come to visit.

My wife, Mary, said to me when Lee and Carla were still in High School that if we were to ever build a Cabin, we should do it while they were close by. We originally thought we only were interested in water skiing, but now we know that whether low or high, Little Pee Dee is a unique little river that is always a joy.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The White Oak Cabin is situated in an area that is quite secluded but not far away either. The Grand Strand is an easy drive as is Marion, Johnsonville or Conway. Webster Manor lunch buffet in Mullins is legendary and only twenty minutes away.
It is never crowded at White Oak. A holiday week-end may see a half dozen boats and on a regular week day there is hardly any traffic at all!
A paved boat ramp is a very short walk from the Cabin. Often, sandbars with pure white sand line the river banks.
