Cottage Dans Trefin, Nr. Saint Davids. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Galles de l'Ouest

Un chalet confortable et bien équipé près du haut du village. Le chemin de la côte du Pembrokeshire et le pub servant des plats locaux sont à quelques minutes à pied de la maison Le abri, jardin plein sud dispose d'une table et des chaises. TV numérique 'Freesat' est installé, aussi les DVD / vidéo et stéréo / lecteur CD Radio. Tous les draps, torchons, tapis de bain et lavage jusqu'à matériaux sont fournis. Salon & chambres ont monté des tapis. Dans un court trajet en voiture sont les sauvages Preseli Hills, charmante vallée Gwaun et les villes historiques de Saint- Davids, la «plus petite ville» avec sa magnifique cathédrale, Fishguard, et Newport avec de nombreux bons magasins et restaurants. Regarder sautant dauphins et marsouins Strumble Head, surfer ou pêcher sur la plage mile de long de Newgale, faire un voyage en bateau autour des îles d'oiseaux de mer, un ferry de jours en Irlande, visiter un affichage de l'usine ou de chien de berger de laine de travail. Venez au printemps pour l'abondance de fleurs sauvages, ou au début de l'automne pour voir les bébés phoques dans les criques rocheuses, ou trouvez un coin tranquille si vous voulez simplement vous détendre.

Awful smell as soon as we walked in. No windows open, no ventilation. Wallpaper falling off in living area, mould on silicone on worktops, enamel off on bottom of the bath, dog hair in places, small bedroom wardrobe smelt of urine, master bedroom wardrobe smelt of damp. We were meant to have stayed for a week but only stayed 1 night. Very upset as there wasn't anywhere else available to stay.

Sorry to read our guests were unhappy. This is only our 3rd poor review out of 121 after over 30 years of letting the cottage with many guests returning year after year. Most of the complaints here are about imaginary smells: Awful smell when they walked in ? urine smelling wardrobe is furniture polish. The only thing I can think of is these guests had had covid, having had it myself a few years ago it can make everything smell different from what it is. We do not leave the windows of the cottage open as some guests arrive later in the day when it will get colder. Windows open or closed is a matter of personal preference. There was a small area of wall paper loose under bay window (loose not falling off) which measured about 1 x 3 feet which now has been sorted. It is not mould it is normal stain and there is very little of it. There's some minor wear on bath enamel not off but worn. Dog hair was I assume from these guests' dog as cottage is always cleaned thoroughly after every guest (please read other reviews) We would say this review is unfair and mostly not factually correct. We ask potential guests to please read our other reviews (The preceding 24 either have 4 or 5 stars with 11 of them 5 star) for a more balanced view of the cottage.

Adrian was attentive but not intrusive and very pleasant to chat to and to gather local information. The cottage is ideally situated for the coastal path and buses. Whilst not full of "mod cons" the cottage had everything required and is very comfortable. Outside space was especially welcome.

Really good place on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Great value for money and will happily go again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The location is perfect – peaceful and close to beautiful walks and beaches. The price was very fair for what we got, and the cottage itself was spotless and well-kept. Everything felt clean, cozy, and comfortable. Fantastic place to stay!

The cottage and the village of Trefin is like going back in time. Perfect spot for walking the coastal path to find secret beaches where you can have the beach to yourselves. A truly beautiful part of Pembrokeshire. The cottage is lovely and comfortable and has everything you need for a perfect holiday. The owner Adrian is the perfect host and we cannot wait to return.

The cottage was lovely and quaint. Ideally situated next to lovely walks and scenery (as shown in photos). The cottage was out dated but not a problem. Only issue that the windows need upgrading as we found it to be cold and then would need to use extra electric which would put the cost up. Overall a lovely stay.
These walks are a 5 minute walk from the cottage.

Great place to stay

We came here for a week in August and despite the weather being a bit disappointing we had a great time-Trefin is well located for St David’s, White Sands Bay but also not too far for day trips to Tenby and other tourist spots. The house had all the basics we needed (reminded me of my grandparents house), was great value for money and we would recommend to anyone wanting a break in Pembrokeshire.

comfy and perfect base for a walkers paradise!

We had to cut our stay short for family reasons, but we think this is a gem of a place, very relaxed and in a perfect location. Adrian was very welcoming and the cottage has all you need.

Fabulous accommodation

We enjoyed a peaceful and restful stay at Adrian's cottage which is suitably situated for coastal walking and not far from St David's for sight-seeing. Adrian is a very helpful host who responds quickly to any queries. The cottage suited our needs and is good value for money. We enjoyed the access to the garden too.
