Wonderful, spacious, expansive view from the house, lanai, and yard. Roomy kitchen with everything you need, very comfortable beds, quiet, secluded location. Lots of beautiful flowering plants, trees, and ferns. Quiet, quiet, quiet except for the birds.

The host communicated before the trip letting us know the property was ready a few hours early. The house was awesome! Central location for all the activities we wanted to do on the island, beautiful sunsets from the ocean view in the front yard. We would stay there again if we go back.

Exceptional property, stellar views, wonderful landscaping, authentically Hawaiian. So much thought and design put into each and every room - from the furnishings to the wall hangings, from the well equipped kitchen to the highly organized laundry area and garage. Many thanks for the beach chairs, the snorkeling equipment, the extensive library of guidebooks and the books on local history and plants.Your house is a labor of love which is felt immediately upon arrival !!!

Great property with stunning view

The house was excellent, well-equipped, clean and had an amazing view of the ocean from the lounge, deck and lawn. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, beach gear and laundry. The host, Richard, was lovely to deal with and gave us some great tips. The location was a short drive to some of Kohala's best beaches. We enjoyed the funny turkeys that hung around and would love to come stay again in the future, mahalo

Relaxing family stay

We stayed here in June for a family vacation. The house was lovely and the grounds beautiful. I really appreciated all the beach equipment and towels. Would definitely recommend!

Tranquil & Tucked Away From Resort Areas!

This beautiful, spacious, Hawaiian house was our home-base for our week stay on the Big Island. Has everything you could possibly need including all beach necessities! Our favorite beaches were Mauna Kea and Hapuna. Beds & linens were very comfy. No air conditioning but multiple fans in every room. We all got the biggest kick out of the wild turkeys roaming the yard. And the Hawaiian book collection was impressive, basically a library, information on everything!

Loved Aloha Hale!!

This was the cleanest and best stocked VRBO that we've ever stayed in!! The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view from the deck and the lawn is spectacular and we enjoyed giorgeous sunsets every evening. It was the perfect homebase for exploring the north coast. Pololu Overlook, Hawi, the Kohala Mountain Road, Keokea Beach Park, Pu'ukohala Heiau, Hapuna Beach, Spencer Beach Park and lunch at the Lava Lava Club were terrific. Communiation with our host was great. He was easy to reach and provided us with loads of useful info. We look forward to returning!

Perfect Hawaiian Retreat

Simply excellent. The many 5 star ratings are well deserved. The location was perfect for following the sunny weather wherever it maybe. Lush Hideaway in Kohala

We enjoyed and appreciated: - the comfortable, relaxed vibe; - well equipped kitchen, and stocked with spices & condiments; - great sea and sky views; - the expansive deck with a counter and stools to enjoy the view to the sea; - the orchid garden is so beautiful and lush, in contrast to the dryer surroundings; - I loved the bath in the primary bedroom; - and the reasonable cost. -
