Une belle chaumière de 250 ans près de Frenchman's Creek. 2 chambres

Myrtle est une belle chaumière chaleureuse et confortable datant de plus de 250 ans. Le chalet semi-détaché a des poutres apparentes. Il y a un grand parking pour les voitures et un bateau si nécessaire avec un stockage sécurisé pour les vélos ou les kayaks. Le chalet a son propre jardin privé avec barbecue et pagode. Il est meublé avec un mélange de meubles anciens et contemporains tout en conservant son charme d'époque. Il offre une vue imprenable sur la campagne depuis l'arrière avec des levers de soleil magiques.

Characterful cottage on the Lizard Peninsular

We really couldn't fault Myrtle Cottage. Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful owners and very well equipped kitchen. We also really appreciated all the little extras from the freshly laid eggs, milk and butter in the fridge, cake and fresh flowers. Thank you Maurice and Barbara. It was really hard to leave!

Serene location full of character

We really loved Myrtle Cottage which was comfortable with loads of country character. Our hosts went the extra mile to make us feel truly welcome. The area has so many wonderful places to explore, that a week isn’t long enough. I hope to be back at Myrtle Cottage soon.

The cottage was just right for us and the garden a bonus - we were lucky with the weather. Wonderful hosts who were interesting to talk to and easily contactable if needed. We were delighted to find lots of free range eggs and tomatoes left for us when we arrived plus a delicious cake. We enjoyed meeting the happy looking hens and seeing where the produce was grown. We moved to Cornwall in 2002 and have been letting Myrtle Cottage since 2003. Since our retirement from professional life we have established a small business making hand-crafted leather work which we sell through shows across the county. We keep a few chickens, grow our own veg and love the country life around the woods and creeks of the Helford. Now that we have the time we have decided to market our holiday cottage ourselves, offering a more personal service to customers at better prices.

We were looking for a peaceful, rural lifestyle near to family and the sea. The Helford River is arguably one of the most beautiful spots in Cornwall.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

There are many beautiful walks accessible from the cottage through National Trust woodland, along the coastal path, with coves and beaches where each season brings its own gems. The best spring flowers in May, mackerel in early summer, shrimping in August, wild mushrooms and shellfish for the picking in the autumn and the wild sea in winter. The local foot ferry drops you off at the sub-tropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan and there are plenty of opportunities to take to the water. Both St Anthony and Helford have sailing, kayaking and fishing boats for hire.
