We are glad that Sylvie had a great vacation in our very quiet village. Without a car you can rest and bathe in the lake, but it is difficult to visit other nearby villages. You can do it by train or boat, but it's easier if you have a car.

Thank you for your review. We would like to note a few points that surprised us: 1) You wrote that "the balcony is small and, due to the air conditioning unit, can accommodate a maximum of 3 people." You are quite right: that is precisely why we described it as a "balcony" rather than a "terrace" in the online advertising. 2) We did not understand what you meant by "the driving style of Italians and their passion for noisy vehicles." 3) Contrary to what you wrote, the online advertising clearly states that there are NOT two bedrooms. Instead, there is ONE bedroom (with a single armchair-bed) and a double sofa bed in the living room. Total: sleeping space for 5 guests 4) It is true that one of the four stovetop burners is faulty; however, the defect (it sometimes fails to ignite properly) poses no danger whatsoever. Furthermore, there is an automatic mechanism that cuts off the gas supply to the burner in the event of improper use. In any case, the minor defect is clearly marked in the kitchen with a sign in both Italian and English, complete with photos and instructions on how to handle it 5) The recommendation to always close the gas valve after use is not due to safety concerns, but is simply standard practice for Italian families with gas stoves. Regardless, the entire apartment is equipped with safety devices to detect gas and fumes, as well as a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit. All this equipment is certified and periodically inspected in accordance with Italian regulations; it is clearly marked within the flat with signs featuring photos and text in both Italian and English, explaining how to read the device readings and the procedures to follow if needed 6) What you refer to as the "small beach right around the corner" is a public lakeside beach, approximately 70 meters long and 5–12 meters deep, depending on the lake's current water level. The beach is located next to a children's playground. Both the beach and the playground are about 50 meters from the house, as clearly stated in the online advertising. This "small beach" is one of three public beaches in the village, all within about 300 meters of the house 7) The house is neither new nor old. It is a standard 1950s home, furnished with pieces that include furniture dating back to the 1920s. We believe these features are appreciated by tourists who wish to experience Italian culture and traditions at a price significantly lower than that of hotels or more modern homes that lack such local history and character. When considering the price, please bear in mind that, due to weather conditions, August is the peak month for tourism among both Italian and European visitors.
