South facing apartment - spectacular sea & mountain views with communal pool.

Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to welcome you and your family and we hope you will come back again.

Wow Susan, thanks so much for your great review. I'm so sorry you found the hill a difficulty. If we can be of any help should you decide to come to the area again in the future, please don't hesitate to ask. I hope the birthday celebrations went well. Best regards, Linda

Thank you for your review. So glad you enjoyed your holiday despite the aircon issue in the lounge. Thankfully the aspect of the apartment means there is plenty of air circulating and while waiting on the part required to get fixed, hasn't affected any other guests despite high season weather. Sometimes things go wrong, however we always try to put it right as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for your review and your lovely comments. It was our pleasure to welcome you to Mojacar and we would be delighted to see you back again.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. Delighted you enjoyed your stay. We would be delighted to welcome you back anytime. Kind regards, Linda

Ah David, I am disappointed for you but so suprised. I thought our communication was good also and would have been happy to help with any issues, had we known. The dark furniture in the main bedroom is all brand new and maybe just isn’t to your taste. I had included details of how you get all the English channels in our email. The reason we have the parasol versus the umbrella is because we rent our apartment. The wind picks up very quickly and unless canopy’s are cared for, can damage easily. It’s not a risk I feel I can put on guests regarding deposits. The best rental hotels on the Playa use parasols, not canopies. I also mentioned the lounge in our correspondence. You could only use the aircon in the lounge if all the windows were kept closed. The best way is to keep kitchen and lounge window open (flyscreen down) there is plenty of fresh air circulating and is preferred to aircon. I think rule of thumb is, it’s always best to say at the time at which stage we could have gladly helped.

In all our years of hosting, we have never had a more sinister and disappointing experience. In hindsight it seemed clear the guest deliberately engineered the outcome. First it is booked as one guest and it was only as we prepared the apartment for rental the guest confirms 5 adults would arrive. Not 1. If the guest had communicated with us from the beginning, we would have advised our 2nd bedroom is not suitable for 3 adults. The cleaning fee of €90 is stated clearly in the description and is again stated in the house rules which you confirmed you read and agreed.. As you were not communicating with us despite our correspondence to you, I reminded you on 21/7/24 of the cleaning fee which you did not respond to either. I also reminded you on the morning you were leaving which is now 4 occasions the cleaning fee was mentioned and again you did not comment. Bulbs go and could easily have been replaced. I explained that only gas BBQ's are permitted on the terrace and for that reason we were unable to provide a gas BBQ as we would be unable to monitor the purchase of gas bottles. And I explained this to you by text. The aircon in one of the bedrooms only became an issue following your arrival and an engineer has been booked to follow up on that issue. In the meantime fans are available in the apartment to cope with issues should they arise. Our cleaning team are a professional group of people and I am sceptical about your other complaints and will bring this to the attention of our management, however in 20 odd years we have never had an issue with ants as we are in an elevated position.. Ultimately it would seem you wanted the apartment for nothing as it's difficult to believe you have an issue given the price you paid for 3 nights in high season for 5 adults and were able to freely avail of all standard services plus free WiFi, free pool use, all TV channels including UK channels and you think out of that rate which works out at €130 each for 3 nights, I should incur your cleaning fee also. Your failure to pay the fee is a clear breach of the terms and conditions and it's difficult to see your review as anything other than an attempt to justify your actions.. This fee remains outstanding and VRBO have agreed and confirmed they are seeking Paymnt from you. Incidentally the cleaning fee by paying directly on site was intended to avoid further comissions being charged.

So glad you enjoyed your stay Jane. Mojacar is perfect for that relaxing holiday and while it was unfortunate you had to cut your holiday short, you were lucky in that everywhere closed suddenly due to Covid19, so every holidaymaker in Spain had to head home. Will be delighted for you to come back and finish your holiday in your own time. Very best wishes and thanks so much for your lovely review. Stay safe.
