4 Star grading ! Luxury living ! Best location in Camps Bay! Compact home with small garden and plunge pool
5 bedroomed holiday home all bedrooms en suite available throughout the year. Sleeps 8. But the villa can be let as a smaller home. It is a compact home and one or two of the rooms downstairs can be closed to make it suitable and cosy for guests wanting a smaller house
Consisting of 2 of the original historical cottages, the Bayleaf has retained the charm and character of the early nineteen hundreds. Although renovated twice, it retains the original oregon floors and beautiful teak shutters. It has been tastefully renovated and has all the modern conveniences.
Upstairs there are 3 very spacious bedrooms all ensuite. The main bedroom has a King size bed and a balcony with amazing views . One can actually see the cable car going up to the top of Table Mountain. The second and third bedrooms upstairs both have queen size beds.
Downstairs there are 2 bedooms. These can be interleading if wanted. The one bedroom has a queen bed and leads out to the garden and pool . The bedroom next to this one has 2 single beds that can be made into a King bed. Both rooms have bathrooms en suite.

We have never stayed in such a well equipped accommodation. Anything you need is here. This is the hosts' own home and they were incredibly generous inviting you to use whatever is around and just replace it. There is maid service with cleaning and washing whenever you need it - nothing was too much trouble. We all felt especially welcome here. The area is perfect for local restaurants and bars and we felt very safe and secure in the area. We would not hesitate to recommend and cannot wait to return. Thank you

This place is in a great spot. Easy to walk to the beach and all the restaurants and Camps Bay activities. The hosts were fantastic to deal with and the property is well maintained and very organized for guests. There is a grocery store very close. They have thought of everything from beach bags to house keys. The eclectic art throughout the home was unique and our stay was fantastic. Highly recommend this location for any stay in Camps Bay!

Incredible location and hosts. We travelled for a conference with work colleagues and truly could not have asked for a better set up for our trip. Each room has its own full bathroom, making this a great choice for family, friends orColleagues to have both privacy and a shared space. Virginia is also amazing to have on site!

Top notch hosts and home

We stayed for 3 nights, 6 adults with 2 seniors. The downstairs bedrooms were perfect to keep them safe. The hosts were beyond accommodating. The South African art and charm of the home was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this home.

Fantastic eclectic house close to beach

This is a super fun 5 bedroom house in Camps Bay so close to the ocean ! We loved the location , the rooms, the ability to relax and enjoy time together in the living room . A fully serviceable kitchen with a beautiful cake provided by the host as well as coffee, yogurt and I can’t remember what else. The hosts were quick to respond and far exceeded all of our expectations. We would definitely return .

Shirley was a wonderful host, very accommodating when our check in plans changed last minute. The property itself was great, so much room, had everything you could need, very clean, unique decorations and a great location within Camps Bay. Highly recommend!

Great Camps Bay home

This place is absolutely fantastic. Centrally located and close to the beach, all the restaurants and the grocery store. Very safe house and location. Huge plus for travelers, particularly those without cars. There is a nice, safe place for a vehicle but we just did Ubers. Centrally located to the major sites. Wonderful that all five bedrooms have their own baths pretty much. We loved the pool. Sure helped with achy muscles after doing table mountain. Comfortably decorated. Definitely recommend this house.

Lovely host. Virginia the housekeeper was amazing. She graciously did laundry for us which was much appreciated. Love the location. The house is filled with whimsical art. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable.

What an amazing property and location. Thanks for everything, what we needed to relax with family and friends from near and far whilst taking in the beauty and scenery Cape Town and surroundings have to offer. We will most definitely be back in the future.

All about this day was amazing! We would recommend for all ages and large families. The house was huge. Beautiful in decor. Close to restaurants and the beach. Shirley the owner was an exceptional host. Very secure! Loved the mountain and city views. We would definitely return!! Shirley’s housekeeper did our laundry and other caretaker very helpful.

Perfect place in Cape Town for a mixed group

We stayed at Shirley's property a week ago in Cape Town. This was the perfect vacation rental for our group. We had 2 couples and 3 singles, so everyone could get their own bathroom (and a convenient powder room by the kitchen). There were also 2 main floor rooms to accommodate my older parents who couldn't handle the stairs. Before our stay, Shirley kindly answered all our questions and helped me feel secure taking everyone there. We had many questions about the load-shedding, so she helped us wrap our heads around it. Her husband met us for check-in, showed us around the property, and helped us set up a CPAP machine for one of our guests on their inverter so that he could use it even while the power was off. There were also many adapters, so we didn't have to worry about buying a bunch. The property was very homey and literally had everything you could need. Tons of cooking things, basics in the fridge, a homemade cake, sun hats, umbrellas, sewing kits, etc. If this is your only stop in Cape Town, you can leave a lot of things at home to save room in your bags. The area was fantastic. Super easy walk to lots of restaurants and the beach right there in Camps Bay. If you're worried about the load-shedding in Cape Town (which was up to 6 hours a day when we were there at the high point of winter). Shirley made sure to text us everyday with the schedule so we could plan around it. There were emergency lights and candles in every room.

Lucky find in Camps Bay

Owners were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by their housekeeper, Virginia, who kept the house immaculate and even did our laundry. The house was accurately described, very comfortable, very well-equipped and well located and secure. Although our overall rating is excellent there was no central heating so in winter months it is a bit cold. But this one downside is small when compared to the atmosphere and ease of living there for the week we spent.

Fabulous stay! House was homey, well furnished and equipped, well located... Walking distance to beach, restaurants etc. Overall: great! Kitchen has every appliance and utensil you need (and then some). :-D Owner was great. Left us a cake! :-)

Great Camps Bay location, walk to beaches & groceries

Our family of 5 stayed with plenty of space. Enjoyed the Camps Bay location being walking distance to restaurants, groceries, and the beach. Appreciated being able to park the car safely behind gate as well. House was clean and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Thank you Shirley and Keith!

My husband and I were both born in Cape Town and lived here all our lives. We both went to the University of Cape Town. I am a retired school teacher specialising in special needs and Keith is still practising law. I travel to London once a year to visit my brother and sister who both live there. I am a keen tennis player and Keith is a golfer.

We bought this house 32 years ago. Both my children were brought up in the house. They have both moved out now and for the last 20 years we have been running this once family home as a guest Villa.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

It is in the best position in Camps Bay as you can walk everywhere. All guests who stay here feel very much at home as it has a wonderful relaxed feel about it and the house has so much charm and character. It is very safe for children and we also have a pool net.
