Villa Melody de Rock House (2 chambres, 4 couchages) avec jardin et piscine privés.

Au rez-de-chaussée (55 m²) de chaque villa, vous disposerez d'une cuisine de luxe entièrement équipée avec réfrigérateur, four électrique et plaque vitrocéramique, four micro-ondes, cafetière multifonction, grille-pain, presse-agrumes, lave-vaisselle, climatisation et système de chauffage indépendant pour l'hiver. Dans le salon, vous pourrez regarder la télévision par satellite à écran LCD. DVD, système audio stéréo, ainsi que la cheminée pendant les froides journées d'hiver. Vous aurez des moments de détente spéciaux dans la chambre avec son lit king size, les draps romantiques et l'éclairage sensuel des bougies se reflétant sur les murs en pierre. Aussi dans la chambre il y a un téléviseur et un système stéréo. Dans la salle de bain lumineuse et ensoleillée, vous pourrez vous détendre dans la baignoire jacuzzi et compte tenu de vos besoins personnels, nous avons à votre disposition un sèche-cheveux, un kit de traitement personnel, des serviettes, des peignoirs et des chaussons. En remontant les escaliers depuis le salon, vous arrivez au grenier (13 m²) de la maison avec sa chambre, qui peut être changée d'un lit king size en deux lits simples.

Great location, lovely villa, quick communication, nice pool. Nothing we didn't like. Plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. "Double" bar great for watching football - 5 mins walk. We loved it. Didn't want to leave.

Perfectly Cretan!

This home is so beautiful, the veranda and pool were so special. The location is moments walk to stores, restaurants and the beach. Checkin was so easy and the gate was a great layer of security (even though the area seems quite safe. The owners were responsive and helpful anytime we needed something. DEFINITELY stay here if you’re planning a trip to the area.

Wonderful!

Wow! We arrived at this beautiful, authentic greek house, where we felt very welcome by the sweet and helpful owners. The house is very close to shops, restaurants and the beach, but because it is located a couple of houses from the main street, it is very quiet and peaceful. I was there with my family, which the house is perfect for. Our four-year old daughter and one-year old son enjoyed the pool and the room down-stairs, which had a lot of toys for both of them. We adults very much enjoyed the jacuzzi, relaxing on the terraces and the fact that there was wireless internet access...perfect for planning trips. I would really recommend this house to anyone who wants a vacation where they can stay in a quiet, charming place, where it is possible to walk to restaurants, shopping, beautiful sunsets at the beach, or take a drive up to the breathtaking mountains or into the city of Chania. I would definitely love to go back.

Wir hatten einen wirklich sehr schönen Urlaub im Rock House. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.Die Ausstattung war gut, die Terrasse und der Garten mit Pool waren Super. Der Eigentümer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus wurde zwischendurch immer mal wieder gereinigt und die Handtücher wurden ebenfalls getauscht. Ein- und Auschecken war völlig problemlos.Das Haus liegt,sehr zentral, etwas zurückgelgen von der Haupstraße, eingekeilt zwischen zwei Hotels. Trotzdem ist man durch hohe Hecken vor Blicken geschützt und es ist bis auf die Grillen auch sehr ruhig.Man ist fußläufig schnell im nächsten Supermarkt, am Strand oder im Restaurant. Wir hatten noch einen Mietwagen, mit dem wir von hier aus wunderbar den Westteil der Insel erkundet haben.Alles in allem ein wirklich sehr gelungener Urlaub.

Absolut perfekt!

Wunderschöne Villa im Steinhausstil – wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Unsere bisher schönste Ferienunterkunft. Liegt sehr zentral an der Hauptstraße, aber durch die Zufahrt und den Parkplatz nach hinten versetzt und ist daher sehr ruhig. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und kommt regelmäßig zur Gartenpflege – dann steht er gerne mit Tipps zur Verfügung. Das von ihm empfohlene Restaurant am Strand war ein toller Tipp und ist ein absolutes MUSS. Auch der Reinigungsservice hat sich alle paar Tage hervorragend um die Unterkunft gekümmert. Wir waren wunschlos glücklich!

Das Haus ist wunderschön, perfekt ausgestattet mit einem schönen Pool. Nur wenige Meter bis zum Strand und mitten im Ort - dennoch absolut ruhig zum entspannen. Der Vermieter Agis hat sich um alles gekümmert. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden, wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten !

Beautiful Villa, brilliant location, lovely owners

The villa itself is absolutely beautiful and the location is ideal. It feels very quiet and secluded, but you are literally just down the driveway from the main street and all the Plantanias facilities. Yioula and Agi are extremely welcoming and helpful hosts and have obviously put a lot of time and care into the villa to make it a real home from home. The bottle of wine and home made produce awaiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch. The pool is fantastic and an ideal size for a family of four and there are loads of pool toys, inflatables etc. provided. The villa itself is a lovely size and all the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard and very well maintained. Make sure you visit the owner's Rock House bar as well at the top of the drive - well worth a visit especially when there is a band on. All in all a beautiful villa and many thanks to Yioula and Agi for a wonderful stay.

Second time staying here. It is perfect, beautiful villa, clean, beautiful, own pool. Couldn't ask for more. To top it off Yioula and Agis are very welcoming and make you feel at home. As 2 young women travelling alone, I can honestly say that this is the only place that I've travelled to that I feel safe and at home. Yioula and Agis (villa owners) are always there should you have any queries. The welcome is amazing with amazing home cooked foods (thank you Yioula! We need the spanokopita recipe) and bottle of wine. Sofia visits to change towels, empty bins and mop etc. She is so friendly and lovely too. There is nothing to fault at all. I have already recommended these beautiful villas to friends and family. II've also travelled with our little boy (8yo ) and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect place for your holiday in Crete

Fantastic Villas!

Better than expected (and we had great expectations!) Most of the times pictures on a website or in a brochure gives a prettier view than you find when you actually get there. Not Villa Rhapsody and Villa Melody, they were splendid, with an atmosphere hard to capture in a photo. They are situated in the middle of Platanias, close to a very nice beach, with everything just around the corner. But when you step inside the gate of Rock houses it´s like an oasis. Quiet (except from the not-annoying crickets;-), peaceful, clean, cosy, everything we wished for on our holiday! We can really recommend the villas to anyone who enjoys a Cretan holiday with a high-class accomodation

Beautiful villa, lovely welcome

Thank you to Yioula, Agis, Aris, Sophia and not forgetting Chester, for looking after us so well. As a family of four with two teenagers we stayed at Villa Melody for a week in early April. We had a lovely warm welcome and the villa was just perfect. The pride and attention to detail with which it was built and presented showed through. It was spacious, very well equipped and with some top quality hotel finishing touches, not to mention the basket of home made produce, wine and something a touch stronger!

The perfect holiday destination

The best holiday EVER!!!

We would like to say thanks to Youla and Agis for a wonderful stay in their villa Melody!! Homemade cake and wine was waiting for us when we arrived!!! It was perfect for the four ladies from Norway who wanted to have a vacation to relax and party at the same time!! Relaxing in the jaccuzi while the rest cook dinner at the barbeque, or having a great time at Rock House with Manolis`great drinks!!! Go for a swim in the pool to wake you up in the morning before you make espresso for the girls and wake them up for yet another great day!!!! It doestn get better than this!!! Villa Melody - a great find

My husband and I rented the villa Melody in May 2011 and can thoroughly recommend it. Everything is finished to a really high standard and with a lot of thought. Despite us having rain on a few days we were more than happy to chill out on the veranda which has comfy sofas. The pool is a good size and the gardens are well-kept. Yioula and her family made us feel very welcome and really want their guests to have a good time. The resort itself is very built-up and we chose it as we have a baby daughter and wanted to be close to amenities. The villa is luxurious and tucked away so it was a haven for us with the privacy we wanted despite being in a very touristic town.

Stunning villa, great location.

Stunning villa, great location. Quiet and extremely comfortable. We had a fantastic time. The villa was spacious and super clean as was the pool and the grounds. It was equiped with everything that we needed and we had a really fabulous holiday. I wouldn't and won't hesitate to recommend this villa as a great place to stay in Crete. Yioula, her family and all the staff were really super nice and made us feel so welcome. Thank you Yioula and team for making our holiday so pleasant. We will hopefully return to you again soon.

Perfect In All Ways

It is not often that one's expectations are exceeded upon arriving at their holiday accommodations. Our stay at the Rock House Villa was one of these exceptions. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and above all comfortable, our week's stay in Crete was perfect. Crete - Spring Break 2010!

From the moment we walked through the door the house was 5 star! The owner's had some homebaked Greek treats set on the kitchen table and every amenity and possible need was met. They even had cd's of greek music and rock bands to play to further set the tone for our time in Greece. The beds were very comfortable by european standards and all linens were top quality. The weather was a bit chilly for spring and the owner's even provided us with wood for the fireplace. The kitchen was more than adequately furnished for cooking and the refridgerator was stocked with Raki! The location was perfect for a beach holiday as it is an easy walk to the sandy beach in the heart of Platanias. The village itself is very nice with many restaurants and cafe's - some set high on the streets above with magnificent views. We will definitely stay in the Rock Houses if or when we return to Crete.

Great house, great destination

We spent 8 days in Villa Melody in July 2010. We were extremely satisfied with everything and I could say that it is even better than it looks at web site. With two kids 9 and 5 we enjoyed all the time. Everything is next door, beaches are fine, especially Gerona beach which is 2 minutes away with local bus. This beach has les waves and that was great for kids. Chania is aslo not far away and is beautiful old town. We would love to come back again.

Wonderful!

Beautiful house:well equipped, functional yet elegant. The house is well located, very clean and the owners are the most helpful, warm and friendly. We came in November and being and off-season time, there was not much to do in the village. We did not rent a car but took the bus to Chenia and other cities. If we came back, I would rent a car. Yioula and her husband took us to a lake we could not have reached with the bus- I think- and provided us with a "real Crete" experience. Thank you Yioula and Igis, you have made our trip and we won't forget you. I would recommend the Rock house to anyone ! Love Nicole

Villa Melody September 2009

This was the first time we had booked a private villa with pool & came upon this one via an internet site recommended to us. We chose the villa because of the wonderful photos and wealth of information about the villas. We were not disapointed in the least! From the moment we stepped into the villa my husband, son & I all flopped down onto the cosy sofa & breathed a sigh of bliss quickly followed by a dive into the pool. We had a warm welcome from Yioula together with a hamper of goodies. The villa was everything we imagined it could be and more, my son (aged 3) had his own special playroom downstairs with numerous toys & games to keep him occupied. The villa was fully equipped with everything you could wish for including espresso machine! And was spotlessly clean. We did hire a car but it was not needed as your are in the middle of the village close to all amenities but it was nice to explore the island and drive up the mountains with the spectacular views (ok if like my husband you like heights, he's a roofer, if not don't look down) and don't mind shoving away the odd goat who refuses to leave the 8 foot wide road so you can drive past. Overall we had an excellent holiday and like everyone else didn't want to go home, usually miss my home comforts but had them on holiday with me!

Perfect relaxation

We enjoyed a very relaxing week in Villa Melody. When we arrived the house was spotlessly clean and fully lived-up to our expectations. (The multi-room sound system is a great idea). Lovely pool to cool off and float around. We enjoyed simple food in nearby restaurants - we weren't very adventurous and flipped between a couple of restaurants that we liked and didn't venture far.

Villa Melody Spring 2009

We came across the Rock House website when we were searching for villas near Chania and were very taken with the website, its design, the pictures of the two villas and their high specification. Booking the villa was straightforward and right from the beginning Yioula, the owner, was delightful to deal with - everything happened as arranged, paperwork arrived when expected and Yioula was easy to contact by phone to answer the odd query before the holiday. It's particularly convenient if you are able to fly into Chania airport rather than Heraklion, as it is only 20 minutes in a taxi. So often the pictures advertising villas are 'imaginative' to put it mildly - but these villas are just as they look on the website, if not better, and you could not ask for a more tastefully appointed, comfortable and intelligently laid out place to have a holiday. The quality is first rate throughout and it's clear Yioula has gone to a great deal of personal trouble to make it so - and quite rightly she asks her guests to treat it like their own home. We walked through the door into a typical Greek welcome - flowers in a vase, a bottle of raki, wine and, best of all, home baked pastries and a cake made by Yioula herself! She was always around if you needed her advice or help. Even though we were only there for a week we still had a visit from a cleaner mid-week, and the general cleanliness throughout the villa was outstanding. The villa is set back from the main road into Chania and Platanias is a lively place full of good reasonably priced restaurants, as well as one or two suitable for a special night out. There are plenty of supermarkets, chemists and so on within a few minutes walk and a lot of really good jewellery shops. As always seems the way in Greece, you get such a warm welcome where ever you go. There is a car rental company a couple of doors down with excellent rates and the buses into Chania and beyond are good. The beach, which is sandy and clean with amazing views and spectacular sunsets, is less than 5 minutes walk from the villa although the pool at the villa tempts you to stay put. There are many nightclubs if that's your bag but noise doesn't reach the villa in the evening if it's not. We have already recommended this property to friends and bored them to death with hundreds of photos of our visit. We will go back without question - it was a privilege to stay in such a beautiful place and be the guest of such a lovely, warm person as Yioula.
