We’ve had a wonderful stay. Perfect house, relatively secluded in green, shady environments. Very comfortable in all respects, including the heated swimming pool. Viana do Castelo and Esposende are close by and worth a visit, as are the many beaches.

We had a very nice stay at this place, the host, Ana, was very helpful concerning questions and support, if needed. The house is located in a beautiful garden, the pool was also well maintained and the water had a pleasant temperature. The house is well equipped, we did not miss anything. It is a good starting point for a visit to surrounding beaches which are not crowded at all, even in August when we were there. I also recommend to visit Viana do Castelo and particularly Braga which is not far. Don’t miss the seafood platter at the Alcazar restaurant nearby. All in all a very nice location for an absolutely relaxing holiday.

A truly wonderful place, highly recommended! We stayed here as two adults and one teenager and had a truly wonderful time. This is a very special holiday home, beautifully maintained and filled with so many thoughtful and loving details. The house is comfortable, welcoming and beautifully cared for, but the real highlight for us was the incredible garden. It is absolutely beautiful and clearly designed with an extraordinary amount of care and passion. There are so many different fruit trees throughout the garden, each with its own special character. Discovering all the different trees and plants was a real pleasure and made the garden feel truly unique. The large swimming pool is fantastic and was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The owners were exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. You can really feel how much love and attention they have put into creating this wonderful place. We would highly recommend this holiday home and would be delighted to come back!

Lovely house

We had a fantastic time staying at this house - so clean and cosy. Our children (8 and 11) enjoyed the pool and playing on the lawn. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed our walks to the river and the beach. We hope to be back some day!

Perfect hideaway

This is a fabulous home - so cosy and welcoming. Very well equipped, quiet and peaceful. The pool is heated and a really good size my kids loved it. Fruit trees all round the garden - it’s so lush and lovely. A 5 minute walk to the river bridge, a half hour walk to Praia de Antas where there are miles of golden sand. Would highly recommend - though would rather keep this a secret to ourselves. :)

Magnifique!!!

Viana do Castelo muy cerquita. En resumen, genial! Esperamos poder repetir!

Awesome, unique Swedish style Stuga/cottage with a excellent private garden

Certainly a first for portugal, a country that skimps on comfort, most 5 star hotels do not have a heated swimming pool, but Casa do Monte does - KUDOS! Casa do monte is definitely a place to comeback to many times over, the location is extremely beautiful with perfect beaches (brrr cold water beaches). KUDOS to the hosts and their ability to offer and deliver a product that is unique in portugal.

Paradise in “Casa do Monte”

Daniela, Paulo e Matilde.
