Fantastic host in a beautiful apartment that was well equipped and very clean. The view from the rooftop sitting area was amazing. Using the out door shower was a great experience. Very close to so many wonderful restaurants and we spent many days exploring local beaches. I highly recommend the host and this unit!

Was extremely disappointed with the terrace ,,,it was not well kept and access was very difficult ,,the stone steps up to the belvedere were very dangerous,,have no idea how one is expected to use the terrace for eating or having an evening drink to watch the sunset,,,the lights didn't seem to work either. Pity because the apartment was lovely,,,fantastic location ,,great ac,lovely atmosphere, peaceful and quiet, a real feel of Italy. PLEASE put some work into the terrace otherwise shut it off and reflect that in the pricing

Dear John, Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry that the rooftop terrace did not meet your expectations. The terrace is the original rooftop of a historic palace, and the stone staircase leading to the belvedere is part of the building's authentic architecture. Unfortunately, it cannot be modified. We describe and photograph this feature in the listing because we want guests to be fully aware of it before booking. Many of our guests enjoy using the terrace for breakfast, aperitifs while watching the sunset, but we understand that its historic layout may not suit everyone's preferences. We are sorry the terrace was not well maintained during your stay. We will work more closely with our cleaning team to ensure it is always presented at its best, and we will also check the lighting. We are very pleased that, despite this, you enjoyed the apartment, its fantastic location, the air conditioning, and the peaceful atmosphere of Gallipoli's historic centre.

Great New Apartment in the center of Gallipoli

The apartment was very nice for our four-night stay in the center of historic Gallipoli. It is a new apartment, and therefore some of the daily things that you would like to have present are not yet... after more people leave things, and the owner and manager respond to requests this will be fine too. It is not a terribly real problem now, but it would nice to have more of the daily basics present... and a washing machine, etc... Valentina, the owner, and Tiziana, the on-site manager, are both very nice, helpful and capable. A small problem with the WIFI was resolved very quickly, for example. Valentina helped with reservations over the Christmas holidays personally, which was extremely helpful since everything was at the last minute! We would happily return, and hope to do so... and we recommend the apartment very highly (really wish there was a 4.5 rating available... and am sure it will become a straight 5.0 soon)! Thanks Valentina and Tiziana... Buon Anno, e alla prosima!

Thank you very much for your feedback Peter. You are right, there were little daily basics: since it was low season we emptied the pantry to avoid leaving decayed products. We will do our best to improve on this aspect in the future! Actually we have a washing machine in the kitchen; you probably got confused with another apartment :-). We really hope to host you and your wife again in the future. Alla prossima!
