This was a truly magical experience- the villa is very rustic but it grows on you. The views were stunning and the pool was perfect.

A stunning Villa in the hills near Florence. Lots of outdoor space, numerous bedrooms and modern bathrooms. A large common area to gather. The views of the Tuscan countryside are incomparable!The air conditioning struggled to keep up but to be fair, Tuscany was experiencing a heat wave where the temperatures reached 100 degrees in the afternoon. The pool was a Godsend as a way to cool off.This was a wonderful retreat for our family! Thank you Katia!

Indeed, Tuscany and many more Regions in Italy and around the world have been experiencing long lasting Climate Change waves of quasi-desert heat. Luckily the Villa has a large pool with a landscaped hedge for further privacy. Aircon is a well serviced in-house feature but, to be honest, a “cultural addition” to Italian Life-Style. Traditionally, houses in the past were built with very thick walls - Villa MURGIANO’s walls range from 40–60cm in width and the windows are relatively small. Keeping bedroom windows AND shutters closed from early morning and the ceiling ventilators ON brings indoor temperatures down by a few notches.

We had an absolutely magical stay. The grounds, the villa, the proximity to Florence and surrounding towns was exceptional. Our host was extremely gracious and an excellent communicator. Well appointed rooms and super comfortable beds. We are hoping to return with friends in the next year or two.

Great Villa

Villa was great. Picturesque countryside. Very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids using 4 bedrooms. Could have easily had more ppl. Location very convenient to Florence and surrounding area. Host was very kind and had lots of info about the area and how to navigate Florence as a tourist.

As shown in Vrbo's site Villa MURGIANO indeed sleeps more than 6 ppl. Ideally, it sleeps 10 adults plus 2 young teenagers. This is because the Villa features 4 bedrooms ensuite, including one with showerroom and access ramp for the handicapped. In addition, a fifth, large bath/showerroom shared between the remaining 2 bedrooms. One of these is a twin bedroom ; the other one is located in the tower, with a split level commanding beautiful views. This room is best suited for a couple of teenagers who want to climb down one floor for their bathroom.

Bucket list Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed an entire week here of relaxation and making Family memories. We cooked in the pizza oven and both kitchens and are at every table available while swimming and enjoying enjoying each other. This is the perfect spot and our host is just incredible and now a family friend forever!!!!

Villa Murgiano

Family stayed outside Florence in authentic Italian villa. Excellent property for families from the pool, A/C and included amenities. Our host Katia was great and helped with transportation, chefs for meals, and tour options of the surrounding area. I would highly recommend and would book again.

Outstanding Villa!!

The only thing lovelier than this Villa is its owner, Caterina. We adored her! Accommodations were wonderful. The Villa has incredible ambiance and warmth and all eight of us would stay there again in a heartbeat!. Overall, I would classify our stay as fabulous!

Great views, super villa!

Very enjoyable! Host was gracious and Mimi, the outdoor cat, was adorable. Rooms are spacious and the villa is a 1400s built gem. Highly recommend it. All 6 of us had a lot of fun!

Spectacular Villa

This villa exceeded our expectations. It has ample room for a large family and was very neat and clean. The host was very attentive to all of our needs and very easy to communicate with. The location is just far enough away from Florence to give it a great Tuscan feel in the middle of a vineyard and olive orchard. I highly recommend this property.

Yes,Villa MORGIANO offers 6 rooms for 10 adults and 2 teenagers, only 9 km from both Florence's City-centre and its E35 motorway exits. Moreover, Villa MORGIANO is set in idyllic countryside, affording beautiful views, relaxation and opportunities for reading and quality time with loved ones.

50th anniversary celebration

We had a wonderful stay in this idyllic spot in Tuscany. The views from all sides alone were amazing. Our nine-year old great niece loved her bedroom and reading nook in the tower, and there was ample room for 10 other adults.Our hostess, Caterina, was charming and very helpful, giving us great recommendations of a tour guide/driver for trips to Siena and San Gimignano, with a winery lunch in between, as well as for Chef Laura, who provided a memorable and delicious feast for our anniversary dinner.We will always have happy memories of our stay at Villa Murgiano!

Italian Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time in this lovely villa. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults, 6 kids. The pool was a welcomed respite from the hot July sun. Easy to get into Florence and take day trips. A car is a must! The views are to die for!
