L'un des meilleurs endroits sur Silver Lake - pas Upper Silver ou le ruisseau. Nous sommes situés sur le côté calme du lac à l'écart de la circulation. Situé à proximité des manèges de dunes de Mac Woods. Mouillage pour bateau, front de lac peu profond qui est idéal pour nager avec de petits enfants, bain à remous extérieur, barbecue à gaz, chaises de jardin, chaises de patio et table. Au bord du lac est toutes les portes coulissantes en verre avec vue imprenable sur le lac. Super endroit pour déguster un café au bord de l'eau ou à l'intérieur avec une superbe vue sur l'eau. Profitez de 60 'de façade Silver Lake avec les meilleures vues dans toute la région de Silver Lake. Pas de terre ou de route pavée à traverser. Option de louer un deuxième chalet sur la même propriété (liste VRBO # 816965 - https: // www. Vrbo.com / 816965). Les deux ont une vue sur les dunes et le lac, un foyer sur la plage et un quai privé. Apportez votre bateau et amarrez-le ici toute la semaine. Front de mer peu profond, idéal pour nager avec de jeunes enfants. Lac de fond de sable avec une cravate pour le bateau. Glacier et dune buggy promenades à distance de marche. Front de mer herbeux pour se détendre au bord du lac, le lac est idéal pour les activités nautiques comme le ski, la pêche et la voile. Vue complète du lac et des dunes de sable.

Quand nous sommes ici, ce chalet est notre maison. . . et nous sommes ravis de partager notre maison avec vous. Cet emplacement est à distance de marche de Mac Woods Dune Rides et Whippy Dip. Les enfants peuvent faire du vélo en toute sécurité dans les rues du quartier. Juste une courte distance en voiture (environ 2 miles au centre-ville) sont go-karts / arcade, autos tamponneuses / bateaux et mini-golf à Craig Cruisers, shopping à Dunetown Mall, Ice Cream, restaurants, tout type de location d'embarcations à le Wave Club, Jeep / Quad / Buggy locations. Aussi, consultez Cherry Point Farm & Market pour leurs merveilleux beignets aux cerises (vraiment délicieux!). En outre, une promenade sur le plus grand phare sur le lac Michigan, Little Sable Point, pour attraper un coucher de soleil du soir est un must sur votre liste de vacances seau. Le phare est ouvert pour les visites pendant les week-ends d'été.

Great location with plenty of stuff to do. It was a little chilly during my stay so I wasn't able to enjoy the lake. The cottage was clean but, I have pretty high standards. Everything was provided for your comfort.

Great Stay

Nothing extravagant but everything you need. I never found myself saying "I wish it had..." something. Fit the four of us just fine. The location on the lake was fantastic! Shallow sandy water for quite a distance. Not much boat noise. Lovely view of the dunes (which are really quite unique). The Silver Lake area is small but has a real beach-town vibe going for it.

Disappointing ..smells like mold, very narrow pier

Broken toilet seat, intense mold smell, moldy outdoor furniture, and dark dreary decor and very narrow dock all lent for a disappointing stay. Looked inviting on paper but not a comfortable stay , albeit beautiful weather and nice lake view.

Old couple looking for the Four seasons hotel experience at a lake cottage. We get a renter like this every now and then. The cottage is a great place if you want to enjoy the lake with your family. Sorry it was not what you wanted.

Don’t rent from this host

Safety concerns: Several exposed screws at lakefront Neither ladder to exit lake adequately attached Electric to gas range not working. You are able to manually light the range top. Code violation-electrical panel not easily accessible and too close to hot water heater Hot tub has a major No leak, not useable. Interior doors do not latch. Bring your own 1-ply toilet paper. 1 partial roll was provided with the cottage. Every other cleaning supply and plenty of trash bags were provided. There are plenty of dishes and kitchenware, linens, blankets and pillows and outdoor furniture provided. The cabin decor is really nice. The location and the access to the lake is perfect. If you bring kayaks to the lake, definitely go to the creek on the west side of the lake. The entrance to the creek is marked by a little lighthouse. Host unable to resolve any of the MANY issues brought to his attention. Everything is someone else’s fault or the person “complaining” has unrealistic expectations. We were refunded what I consider to be an inadequate amount since his dishonesty and lack of accountability ruined a vacation that myself and my extended family were planning and looking forward to for months. Contrary to what I am sure his disparaging comment to this review will be, my family neither needs or expected a Hilton experience. Would have been nice if the advertised amenities were functional though. Cottage away from the lake has major water intrusion issues.

Contrary to this review, we take great pride in our cottage. We are constantly upgrading it and making it nicer. Unfortunately the hot tub did break prior to their stay and was not operable. As for the stove, we have a gas stove and the igniter is electric. The electric portion of the stove is plugged into a GFCI that had popped during their stay. I instructed them to push the little button on the outlet to reset it but, unfortunately, they were unwilling to do so. Upon them checking out the cleaning people pressed the button and the issue was resolved. We do have our cleaning people put 2-3 rolls of TP in each unit. I gave this customer $500 for their inconvenience but they wanted more than $2000 back after staying all week. These people are using the review process to extort money. The experience of renting on VRBO is good for the most part. The only problem is that you never know who you’re going to be renting to. Needless to say, I would never rent to these people again. We want all of our customers to enjoy their stay, but you have to have the personality and demeanor to enjoy staying on a lake. If you go through life trying to find fault, you will always find reasons to be unhappy. We have one of the best locations on the entire lake. The cottage is nicely appointed and has great views of the Sand dunes and the lake.

HEAVEN!

Truly enjoyed Bob’s lakeside cottage. THE best location on the lake! The cottage was very well appointed with every cooking utensil/dishes etc needed, grills (both gas and charcoal) even a crock pot! The cottage was very clean and very nicely decorated. Easy kayak to the river was also a nice perk. No AC? No problem! Beautiful lake breezes every day/night made it very comfortable + ceiling fans in every room. No AC needed and this was mid-late July. We absolutely enjoyed our two weeks at this little piece of heaven. The view of the dunes is killer! Charming vintage cottage, couldnt have asked for any better. Owner was very responsive and nice, glad we had a chance to say hello to him and his family. Thank you for a beautiful time and many memories made. See you next year!

Family week at the lake

The owner was great to work with and very responsive. The location is perfect for doing a variety of activities. Although pets allowed not very conducive with how close the cottages are together. Lake is shallow with sandy bottom. The cottage needs a good cleaning - very dusty and spiders in every corner.

Great location!

The online listing was spot on. Great location. You are renting someone’s summer home. Perfect for 5 of us, don’t think 6 would fit. Since we cook a lot at the cottage, pans could have been updated. Borrowed some from the other Rental cottage on the property and it worked out great. Hot tub and grill were an added bonus.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Possibly you overlooked some pans as the cottage has a lot of pans. Or maybe some were moved to the other cottage by the previous renter. We will look into that. The cottage is a two bedroom with a pull out couch in the family room.

Definitely a quiet area of silver lake- Great Lake Front

Nice quiet area of silver lake. Wonderful lakefront . Outside of town off busy street. Cottage great for family of 4. Was a bit crowded with 6 people however we managed just fine. Very relaxing. Nice neighborhood. We were able to grill, enjoy the scenery and easy to get in the water as shallow by the dock. Enjoyed a fire in the evening watching the sunset.

Very Cozy

Cottage was super cute and being right on the lake was ideal! Owner was GREAT to deal with and very fast to respond to any questions that I had. Only downfall to this place is the lack of parking. We have a big full size pickup and it would really only fit in one spot unless we parked parallel. We wod definitely consider staying here again!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your beautiful cottage! We enjoyed everything so much! Silver Lake and the dunes is one of our favorite places! We enjoyed the lake with our boat, walking the dunes, Mac Dune ride and the beautiful cottage just off the beaten path for yard for games, meals and relaxing!! The gorgeous sunsets just a short drive to the lighthouse were amazing this past week!

Highly Recommend this Property; Will be Returning

We have stayed at other properties in years past. This year, we tried The Davies' cabin. AWESOME PLACE! As to the location & property, you are right on the water (no road frontage) at the quiet end of the lake. The view is incredible. There is ample yard area to enjoy yard games. My family preferred the quieter end. With regard to the cabin, very well-stocked! There was nothing the kitchen lacked. The cabin lived up to our expectations. Hot tub was an added bonus!! Nice grill for cooking out. It is our intention to return to this property next year and possibly rent the 2nd cabin as well as our family grows. We were able to meet the owners. Nice people and interested in continued improvements.

Great cottage in a great location.

This is a wonderful cottage with a great location. It's right on the lake and has a nice area for swimming and a dock for your boat. There are 2 cottages on the property and we rented the one closest to the water. It was the hottest part of the summer and we were still able to sleep comfortably even though there isn't AC, I assume it was do to the cool breeze off the lake. We met the owners and they seem like very nice people. Hopefully we will be able to rent there again next year.
