Wonderful apartment in Les Houches with great views overlooking Mt Blanc. The apartment has a unique setting, based only 150 metres from the new fast ski lift in Le Prairon, and with a 'ski-out facility' straight to the large balcony. Please see the website www.legrandtetras.co.uk for more details.
NEW FROM AUTUMN 2015-HIGH SPEED WIFI

Location: The apartment is based about 150 metres away from the new ski lift at Le Prairon. The new ski lift offers fast access to the great skiing area of Les Houches. The area of Le Prairon offers an Apres ski Bar, Ski Shop, Small Deli/groceries, and Ski Rental shop. Behind the parade of shops is a beautiful lake, Forest and Tennis Courts that are available for summer use.

Amenities: Based around the lift and parade of shops is the Ski School that offers ski lessons to anyone from 4 plus. There is also the bus stop that provides a regular Bus service to Chamonix for 1.5 Euro ( 20 minutes), and in the winter offers a return 'Nuit' bus that operates past midnight. The Main supermarkets based about 1 mile away and offers a wide range of Meats, Vegetables, Breads and Groceries. You will also find some more Bars and Restaurants in this area of Les Houches. Some other Bars and Great Restaurants can also be found 5 minutes from the Apartment.

We stayed there for the UTMB weekend. The location is perfect for the bus to Chamonix. The apartment is as described. It was clean and everything we needed was there. Sheets and towels were missing, but we quickly found a solution after talking to Steven. In short, a comfortable apartment and good communication with Steven. Thanks

Lovely apartment in good location.

The apartment was a good size and very well equipped. Perfect location for exploring the Chamonix Valley with both bus and rail stops very close by. Communication with Stephen was easy with a prompt response. Would recommend a stay if you are looking for a slightly quieter break with easy access to the TMB (Tour de Mont Blanc) and other trails, and great transport links to other areas.

Great apartment

Great apartment right next to pririon lift. Easy access to other Chamonix ski areas via bus that are regular and efficient. No car needed. Bread from bread shop across the road but no supermarket. This is 5 minutes on bus so not a problem or 20 minutes walk.Kitchen is great with an oven tester and kettle ( godsend as many french apartment don't have). Loads of hot water and great shower. Large ski room for storage. Super dining and lounge area with smart TV. Comfy beds and no need to bring linen.

Wonderful stay

The best thing about this apartment is the location which is close to perfect; 100m from Prairon gondola, a ski shop, a bus stop and a wonderful bakery; and it is surrounded by the mountains. The apartment itself is very comfortable and coped with my wife and I, plus one late teen. (I think it might be tight for 6 due to the limited storage space). The beds and sofa were comfortable. There was endless boilingly hot water! The kitchen was reasonably well equipeed, but I would have liked some smaller pans, and in particular, some wooden spoons! Ski locker was fine and overall apartment complex was clean and functional. Overall we had a highly enjoyable trip and I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce magnifique appartement aux Houches. Idéalement situé, à deux pas du lac de Chavant, il est à la fois spacieux, lumineux et offre une très jolie vue depuis le balcon.Les enfants ont adoré l’endroit et nous aussi ! Seuls petits bémols : une connexion Internet parfois capricieuse et quelques difficultés pour se garer, mais cela n’a en rien gâché notre séjour.Un grand merci à l’hôte pour sa réactivité avant notre arrivée. Je recommande vivement ce logement et je songe même à le relouer pour une prochaine escapade !

Bel appart avec vue

Conforme à l'annonce, appartement fonctionnel et agréable.Balcon au calme bien exposé et avec une vue imprenable sur le mont blanc. Situation pratique car prôche arrêt de bus et télécabine. Si on veut chipoter,je dirais que le canapé est très agréable mais le couchage très moyen,il manque des assiettes plates et la table de chevet à tiroirs dans la petite chambre est insuffisante et pourrait avantageusement être remplacée par une commode. Sinon, vraiment bien et les prestations d'arrivée sont pratiques.

2 bedrooms close to the cable but not very functionnal

The apartment is a 2 bedrooms (one very very small), with nice kitchen and living room and very close to the cable. However, it is very dark (1st floor), there is no space to hang skiwear, there is only one very small wardrobe available for 4 people, very few kitchen tools (4 large plates only for example), no reserved parking. However, thank you Steven for your availability on the phone.

Thanks Elodie for your comments. We will review the plates, cutlery etc to ensure that they can accomodate all our guests. There are some non reserved parking right outside the Apartment complex which are available to guests and is generally not a problem however sometimes they get busier at Christmas and February Half term. In these situations overflow parking is available nearby near lac Chavants. Glad you appreciated the location. We have a number of returning Guests that love the short walk to the ski lift and amenities! Thanks again and hope to see you again

Great place in a great location

Great place located easy walking distance from Prarion and Bellevue lifts as well as a number of shops and restaurants. Apartment is clean, in good condition and well equipped and has easy access to ski lockers. Host was prompt and a pleasure to deal with. Check-in/out was easy. Had a great stay and will stay here again.

Family trip

A comfortable stay by three generations, in an excellent location for the Gondola lift. The bunk bedroom is cosy with limited storage space. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Superb

This is our second stay at this property having used the property as our base for skiing. This property is in a perfect location and is very well equipped and imaculately clean. The bus stop into for Chamonix is 2 mins and the train 5 mins away. The apartment block is very quiet with superb views of the mountains. The bakery is a 2 min walk. We have 2 teenage children and there was plenty of room. In summary a great place to stay to explore the valley and mountains and a very comfy place to relax at the end of the day.

Les Houches is a fantastic location in both the winter and summer. My family and I have spent our winter and summer holidays in Les Houches for the last 15 years. As a ski resort Les Houches is a perfect family resort. A great place for children to learn to ski with opportunities to be challenged! Les Houches is also a great place to access the whole of the Mount Blanc unlimited ski area either by car or bus. This apartment is in a great spot near to the ski lift (2 minute walk) - It is also possible to ski in at the end of the day. I know this area very well and this is as good a location as you can find. It is very clean, maintained and well equipped. In terms of space, it is very comfortable for 4 - 6 people. There is a sofa bed, which is clearly new and fits nicely into the apartment. The apartment is very warm and has a very home like feel to it. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, and will definitely be using it again in the future.

This apartment is well situated for the Prarion (bubble) lift which is a short distance away. The apartment was a good size for our party (4) but could easily accommodate 6 as is advertised. The facilities were amply sufficient for our needs and contact with the owner has been first class. I have little doubt that we will look at booking again.

Séjour très agréable, résidence idéalement située près des télécabines du PRAIRION et à 5/10 min de marche des restaurants (10 min avec les enfants!). Vue directe sur le Mont blanc du balcon: magique! Avec des enfant,s nous aurions apprécié un lave-linge (pas de laverie automatique proche). Property manager très accueillant et à l'écoute.

When I saw that MGM were building in this area and location, it 'ticked' all the boxes. I wanted a property was close to the Ski lift so that I and future tennants did not have to get a Bus or walk far to the Ski lift. This was perfect with its great location to both lift and local amenities.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The view, Location and the peace and quiet. If I want to have more options I am only a short bus ride to Chamonix.
