Amazing property

My husband and I spent 28 very enjoyable days at Rocchetto. The house is comfortable and charming. We would highly recommend this property

Tuscan Perfection!

Il Rocchetto was the highlight of our recent trip to Italy! From the moment we inquired about this villa, the rental agency (Anke and her team) provided the best and most thorough communication - no detail was left out! Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Chiara, who kindly explained all of the details of the Villa to us. It was sooo beautiful - and perfect for our group of two families with a total of 3 small children. They adored running in the grass and playing in the pool. The grounds are meticulously kept, the pool was pristine. The house itself is full of charm, with delightful antique touches and every comfort you could need. We loved preparing easy meals, and eating under the outdoor pergola. Lucignano surprised all of us with it’s charm! What a great city. We had several lovely evenings there and great meals. Our only regret was not spending more time here! 6 days was truly not long enough!! We will 100% return!! A few tips/notes/comments: - the tap water is not suitable to drink. I didn’t realize this the first day and we all drank it (with no ill effect) but it should be verbally explained to visitors upon arrival - there is a big gate at the top of the long driveway. We didn’t know to expect this and actually turned around the first time we were driving up to the villa. Just something to add to the description. - You must be very thorough in cleaning up after your meals, as they are ants (but it’s the country! This is to be expected). The twice weekly housekeeper helps ensure this doesn’t get out of hand.

Dear Jennifer, thank you sooo much for your kind words. Having happy clients is what makes our job worthwhile. I will add information about the gate to our driving instructions. As for the water, it is drinkable - but we don't find it very good, and therefore advise our clients to buy bottled water. This is what the Italians do too. But I will put a note about this in our rental details. All our best, Anke

Perfect

I am writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay over Easter at the villa. It is a spectacular place and was even more beautiful than the photos led us to believe. We were delayed at the airport, but Chiara and Donella (the housekeeper) were patiently waiting for us when we finally arrived. They did a wonderful job showing us around and explaining how things worked (washing machine, alarm system, gate, etc.). The house was wonderful, very comfortable and incredibly clean. The bathrooms were modern and the house had everything we needed. We especially appreciated all the information about restaurants and local markets at nearby villages. The grounds were extremely well maintained and the pool is beautifully located, even though we did not use it. We found it to be the perfect location! Our family of four (two teenagers) walked into town many evenings to enjoy dinner at the local restaurants. We also made a day trip to Florence and another to Siena. It was hard to leave Rocchetto, however, because it's such a peaceful, relaxing place with spectacular views.

We loved this house - felt very lucky to have found it

Further to your letter requesting feedback on our recent stay at Il Rocchetto, I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay in such an idyllic spot. The location was perfect, close enough to the local town of Lucignano to stock up on delicious meat, vegetables and wine, but far enough away that we had total privacy and quiet. The house was well suited to our needs and both the caretaker Chiara and housekeeper Donella were charming and helpful. Our favourite thing about the house apart from the location, were the large grounds which were ideal for tiring out an enthusiastic and energetic puppy, and the heavenly pool that offered shade and sanctuary of peace and quiet.
